Notes :

The replica in this build covers most of the generation models of Lamborghini Diablo with rear wheel drive version. Spanning from 1990 Diablo to Diablo GT 2000. I provided 2 weight specs for each Diablo Base Coupe - 873 built ( 1990-1998 ), Diablo SE30 and JOTA - total 150 built, with 15-28 of them in JOTA Spec ( 1994-1995 ), Diablo SV - Spinto Veloce with 120 built ( 1995-1999 ), 100 SV built for 1999-2000 and Diablo GT - 83 built ( 1999-2000 ).

Power wise, the 5.7 V12 Diablo Base Coupe 1990-1998 has 492PS/485HP, Diablo SE30 has 525PS/518HP, SE30 JOTA 590PS/587HP ( 1994-1995 ), Diablo SV (1995-1999 ) has 520PS/513HP and later years has 530PS/523HP ( 1999-2000 ). For Diablo GT, the V12 has increased displacement at 6.0L, generating 575PS/571HP.
The 6.0L V12 also used on Diablo VT and VT SE from 2000-2001 with lower power at 550PS/542HP ( 260 VT and 44 VT SE were built ). Since we don't have VT Diablo ( AWD ), I do not include it in this replica.

Each of the weight specs are based on various source ( curb weight which often do not have full tank fuel ) and some of the full tank weight are calculated based on 100L fuel tank ( 75kg ) and official test weight. The Diablo GT full tank weight and dry weight are based on Auto Motor Und Sport Super Test Data.

Suspension spring rate is based on Diablo 6.0 ( Workshop Manual ), the spring rate calculated from static load + dynamic load + flexibility spec are lower than available in GT6. So I chose to use the spring ratio instead, and aim the lowest value possible in GT6. The ride height is at 110mm and suspension as well as alignment from Lamborghini Manual are used on all specs.

For LSD, 45% lock rear differential is used just like the real life spec, set with low preload to help the car agility while staying stable at the track. Gearing for Diablo are provided in 3 version, based on the ratios offered by Lamborghini from factory. The Diablo Base Coupe 1990-1998, SE30/JOTA 1994-1995 and Diablo SV ( 1995-2000 ) uses standard version gearing from factory unless the buyer asked otherwise.
The Diablo GT often comes with EU/EEC C Version Short Ratio giving it lower top speed, but better acceleration. When custom transmission is installed in GT6, the final drive calculation is not accurate as the real car uses final drive and transfer gear ratio. There are 5 sets of gearing, the 1st one with 1.59 transfer gear ratio is standard fitment on 1990-1998 Base, 1994-1995 SE/JOTA and 1995-2000 Diablo SV ( Spinto Veloce ). The 2nd set is High Final used on Diablo SV ( '95-'00 ) which gives it much lower top speed at 186+mph ( Factory Option )
While the other 3, the 1st one with 1.619 transfer gear ratio are used as standard fitment on 6.0L engined Diablo ( GT 1999-2000 and VT/SE 2000-2001 ), while the 1.667 A and C version short ratio are optional from factory for these 6.0L V12 Diablo.

The Diablo replica was tuned and tested at Tsukuba, Autumn Ring, Suzuka, Big Willow, Bathurst, and Red Bull Ring. The Base Coupe Diablo in particular was tested at Tsukuba to replicate Best Motoring real life record at 1:07.66 set during SuperCar Battle Race in early 90's ( the Diablo didn't finish as the car spun due to brake trouble ). Motoharu Kurosawa drove the Diablo in solo time attack session, but only managed 1:08.18 lap time. The replica Diablo Base Coupe spec 485HP and full tank weight 1690kg on Comfort Hard can do 1:07.6s with ease, the replay is included for reference.

For the Diablo SE30/JOTA, SV and GT, feel free to fit Comfort Medium to enjoy higher grip.

Well, I know what I'll be doing all night long tonight... :D I really wish that GT6 had a Diablo VT as well.

I was talking to my brother a few days ago - he has an XBox One and Forza 5 - did you know that you can change engine displacement in that game? It would be so nice if that were possible in GT6 so we could have the 5.7L Diablo's and then also create the 6.0L Diablo, if one wanted to.

I finally pulled my new Lamborghini Countach LP400 Replica back into the garage to let her cool down after a day of being driven rather hard. This is one exciting car!! 👍 I drove both of the available ride heights, but decided to keep her riding on the lower ride height for now. A little more roll with the higher ride height, as one would expect, but nothing that would cause any real alarm as long as you're turning in sharply and hitting your apexes.

This car is very well balanced with plenty of power and the proper amount of grip to go along with it. No, you won't be blowing past GT-R's on the track, but remember, this car is from 1974! On Comfort Medium tires I felt very comfortable giving it all she's got on the track. This Lambo doesn't plow quite as easily as the modern AWD Lamborghini's. She turns with a purpose and that purpose is to get you lined up for your corner exit. This is truly an easy car to drive fast.

I know I tend to be biased towards Lamborghini cars and Ridox's tunes, but I honestly haven't discovered a true fault in this Countach yet. Besides a few times where it was 100% driver error, she did her job lap after lap. Perhaps I should start testing these cars with Tire Wear & Fuel Consumption turned on. I look forward to spending more time in this Countach. Next time out I will try the alternate rear spring rates Ridox listed for us. In the meantime, I have a Diablo GT that needs some attention!:D :sly:

A VT Diablo would be a great addition :) What I wanted the most is premium conversion of JLOC Diablo JGTC :P

Awesome to hear  The LP400 seems to have very good chassis in GT6 and the engine torque fits perfectly with it.

I still have more Diablo replica coming, SV-R and GTR :D

@Ridox2JZGTE Here is my new review of both the new Lamborghini tunes! I love MR cars and Lamborghini's so I couldn't resist trying them out. I tested both of these at the new (Old :sly:) track Midfield raceway.

Lamborghini Diablo SV (S2) - Used with the stock suspension and full fuel weight

The Diablo must of deliberately been called the 'devil' because it's a real monster to control! After a few laps I got used to how it handled, It's a very stable tune once your used to it. But it still comes with the MR coincidences that need full concentration to avoid. I find the car as overall a very fun car to drive! The Diablo is in my top 3 Lamborghini's for definite, I also love the Lotus color used on it, it definitely suites it well!

My best lap out of the trials was - 1:18:391 with my G27 (Clutch and H-Shifter)

Lamborghini Countach LP400 - Used with the lowered suspension and full fuel weight

The Countach is a truly wonderful car, It's also wonderful to drive as when I tested it I found it very easy to control around, it suffered from late braking with a bit of oversteer but I avoided that after the 1st few laps. It's a very fun car to drive at high RPM because... that sound! :dopey: Overall I like this tune very much; it's controllable for an MR, good fun to blast around in and aim for the best laps!

My best lap out of the trials was - 1:21:067 with my G27 (Clutch and H-Shifter) I was astonished that it was close to the Diablo's time  I must of really been pushing it or something!

Wow, thank you for the kind review :P Have you tried to replicate the real life lap record at Tsukuba with the base coupe Diablo on CH ? The inboard video was intense ( set during the race ) as the car has no ABS, and the driver was seemingly braking on a car with drum brakes and a truck gearbox

I just did some lap test at Laguna Seca for Nissan NISMO GTR '14 ( Randy Pobst lap record at 1:35.551 ) on CS tire. I made the replica when I updated to 1.15 awhile ago. Did 1:35.3xx on 1st lap with some sloppy cornering ( not hitting the apex as the real lap did ), but the speed ( top speed before braking, and cornering speed ) were very close at 1 or 2mph difference give or take. The brakes is weird as I have to add lots more rear brake balance and it still lock front wheel first :grumpy: Drivers with ABS 1 would never notice this  With better run it would be on par with Aventador replica which did 1:35s flat on CS.

Ridox, since we have paintable rear wings now,do you plan on updating the cars again?(Don't remember how many times you have had to update lol)Like for Viper GTS GT3R max power, the rear wing is in white.

Just a suggestion though,if you have nothing to do,which probably never will, you may do so to further replicate the cars;-)

One more thing,do you know why PD reduces the FFB of Red Bull Fan cars?I don't really feel it being weird beforeO.o

@Ridox2JZGTE I too wish they would update that NOMAD Diablo GT-1. Even though I use bumper view, I really prefer to use Premium cars. They look much better even in the replays, that's probably why... Do you happen to know the official specs on that NOMAD Diablo?? Did the game get anything right? It's such an old car, tracking down info might not be too easy now...

Well, I visited the Dealership a little while ago to purchase another Lamborghini Diablo GT '00. I brought it back to the shop to apply a Ridox Replica Conversion on this car. I already own a Diablo GT but I don't own a Diablo SE30, or at least, I didn't yet... ;)

The first thing I did was have the car repainted to Argento Nurburgring, a silver'ish color. Then I removed the rear wing altogether. Finally, I installed a set of ENKEI Baja wheels (standard size) onto Comfort Medium tires. She was beginning to take shape.

My mechanics decided to go with the Lamborghini Factory Recommended Suspension settings. I plan on trying the alternate Camber & Toe settings at some point in the future. Once they had my transmission squared away I headed off to Tsukuba for a few laps.

It wasn't much work to pull a 1:06.050 time on my 2nd full lap. I was just trying to get comfortable with my new Diablo SE30. I saw no reason to possibly put her into the wall. This time was achieved short shifting into 3rd gear and coasting around the tight turns in 2nd. Even coming around the final sweeping turn I left it in 3rd gear and let the engines torque pull me across the finish line rather than drop down into 2nd for a quick burst of power. You can get decent times out of this car even while driving on the conservative side. Take your time getting to know this car on a tight, twisty track like Tsukuba.

Next, I was off to Ascari Resort. I wanted my Diablo SE30 to stretch her legs a little bit and this felt like the ideal track. I didn't set any record lap times here. That wasn't the intention of my visit to Ascari. I wanted to see how she held through high speed corners and hard braking zones. I think this Diablo SE30 did very well in both regards. You're really going to be doing a lot of counter-steering with this car. The back end likes to come out and play quite a bit. I'm certain a better driver could push this car a lot more than I can. When in doubt, get the wheel straightened out and hammer the brake pedal. Lambos aren't the lightest cars on earth, but this one still stops fairly well for her weight. Her balance isn't the greatest, but it's very, very consistent. I'm certain after 50 more laps I will feel right at home with my new prize.

It's too bad we can't remove the roof air intake. This car is beautiful...

I only have old data from JLOC site from close to 10 years ago :( Not much to go about, probably have to make custom setup like most race cars. At most, power, weight and distribution, maybe gearing in general ( hewland or xtrac ) I do know that the NOMAD DIablo is based on Diablo GT1 which only a couple were made if not mistaken, will have to read old articles again. The car ran at closer to 550PS or maybe a bit more back in the JGTC day.

For the Diablo SE30, you can fit comfort soft or sports hard to simulate a Diablo with semi slicks for track day, it should handle a lot better :P

I just did 3 laps around La Sierra with my Diablo SE30 on Comfort Medium. It is so much fun!! Coming out of corners sideways and hard braking from 150MPH - how can you have more fun than that in a Lambo? :D

I'm several game updates behind so I don't have La Sierra.
You ask how you can have more fun than that in a Lamborghini?
May I suggest taking your Italian thoroughbred to the Nordschleife at night, in the rain, using in-car view and turning the driving line off. I personally find that, in most cars, the greatest test in GT6 👍

Admittedly, I don't drive at night or with rain very often at all. Yes, the Green Hell is absolutely my favorite track. I just love the Nordschleife. I ended up running Ridox's EU Spec Ferrari F40 around La Sierra for a couple of hours after tucking the Diablo SE30 back in the garage for the night. At first I went out with CS tires, but after destroying my entire body kit I switched to SH tires. :D Then, I moved on to Ridox's BMW M3 GTS on CS tires for many heart pounding laps. It was a fun night on La Sierra. It's not my favorite track. It's more for cruising the hot laps, if that makes sense. Yes, I try to go very, very fast...but, I treat it more like I'm driving on real roads than a race track. Oh, and I was channeling my inner Australian as well because I was listening to several different Nick Cave albums on my headphones as I ripped around La Sierra! :sly:

Notes :

The Diablo GTR 500PP special version is pretty good drive, capable of 1:17s lap on SH tire at Midfield.
The 500PP CRAP Online version is based on the GTR replica, power has been reduced to 500PP limit and final gear ratio has been increased to 5.000 for quicker acceleration at Midfield.

The Diablo GTR 500 PP can be altered to actual replica simply by increasing power ( raise limiter ) to 582HP and change the final gear ratio to 4.021 as well as using the 6th gear at 0.697. Some GTR has 6th gear at 0.676, these 2 ratio are optional. Use 0.697 for lower top speed.

Sweet!! Now I have to buy a 3rd Diablo GT. I don't want a wing on my SE30, so I can't just share tabs - no biggie. I will NEVER complain about owning too many Lamborghinis. :D

@Ridox2JZGTE I see in your notes the instructions about building the actual Replica, not just the CRAP version. That's what I'm going to build, since I don't drive in the CRAP racing league. Umm...What tires would you recommend for this car? RH tires considering it's an actual race car?

The Diablo GTR works on SH to RH tire, I did 1:09s lap at Midfield with RH tire 582HP and 4.021 final / 0.676 6th gear. I will post the actual replica and SV-R version as well.

The CRAP club is just the event that the tune happen to be raced on. The CRAP tune can be used online or offline. They have been proven to drive well when raced online with tire wear ( usually at very fast )

I have plenty of CRAP tunes still need to be published.

Okay. I'm already building it. I can't wait! :D I'll throw the CRAP settings on Tab B in case I ever want to use this in a 500PP Seasonal or something. I can't wait to see the SV-R... I hope I don't need to buy a 4th Diablo GT!

EDIT: Oh...I also wanted to say that I installed my rear wing at -10 width. I don't know why, but -15 made it look a little too narrow for me. That's the first time I ever modified one of your rear wing settings.

The rear wing width varies in real life, you can see it the post pictures, the 1st one and the last one ( yellow race version ), while my purple Diablo GTR picture from GT6 uses -15 width.

The SV-R only differs slightly in power, weight/distribution, and final drive. The GT2 based SV-R will also be posted.

ATTENTION!! This is NOT the 500PP CRAP Racing League version I will be talking about. I had my mechanics build me a true Diablo GTR Replica which outputs 582HP and 470 lb/ft of torque. This equates to 564PP. The Power Limiter can be set to either 98.3% or 98.4%. I went with 98.4%. Ridox will be posting an official Lamborghini Diablo GTR Replica build, but I couldn't contain myself when I saw the special notes section detailing how to convert his CRAP Racing League build into the real deal Diablo GTR.

I know it might seem like I'm always raving about Ridox's builds - especially when it comes to Lamborghinis. I've never denied my respect and appreciation for Ridox's builds and on a few occasions I have admitted that I am little biased towards HIS builds, let's say, compared to some other well known tuners because I enjoy driving Replica builds a lot more than driving tunes that completely remove the individual characteristics of the cars. Of course not all tunes do that, but personally, I think it's logical to aim for realism versus tuning a car until it's completely perfect, which never ever happens in real life. To be honest, there probably would be more complaining in my mini-reviews of Ridox's cars, but a lot of times I chalk it up to driver error, or lack of skill. Still, I have always claimed that I don't feel Ridox's tunes are the fastest out there by any stretch of the imagination. Isn't that posting a criticism?

Enough of that... I put the key in the ignition and fired up my newly delivered Lamborghini Diablo GTR. I had her painted in a stunning, bold Blue. With that huge rear wing, I could just look at this car all day long. Speaking of the rear wing, Ridox calls for the width of the Custom Rear Wing to be set at -15 Width. I decided to go with a setting of -10 instead. At -15 the wing looked just a tad too narrow. Use whichever settings look best, but still realistic, to you. :) Finally, #3 was added for compliance with racing league rules. :sly:

My mechanics hooked me up with a brand new set of Racing Hard tires. They also insisted that I take her out with Racing Brakes installed. I lowered Brake Balance to 5/4 and rolled back out onto La Sierra. As expected, this car shot like a catapult as I headed toward the starting line to begin my lap. A slight tap of the brakes and I was slowing down thanks to the superb gripping power of Racing Brakes. I did notice, however, that my rear end got a little loose. I'll have to keep an eye on that, I thought to myself. It didn't take long for me to experience the rear getting playful with me under braking. I should mention that it wasn't very hard to get used to this behavior. I was probably only 6 or 7 turns into La Sierra when I realized that I'm going to have to really be on point when I hit the brakes in this thing. Also, the car turns in with a heavy force - it's very direct. Some fiddling with the brake balance would probably cure my ills, I thought.

This Diablo has a very nice suspension. Weight transfer glides smoothly and predictably. I tend to clip rumble strips and the occasional small curb. The GTR handles these without flinching which surprised me, to be honest. Perhaps the extra weight actually helps to keep the car planted & under control when riding over these things, unlike some feather light cars that go flying out of control at the slightest rumble strip/curb. I've only tried the default Camber values of 1.5/0.9 and the lower values of 1.2/0.7. I meant to try 2.5/1.5 while I still had the Racing Hard tires installed but I forgot. I liked the lower camber settings the most with Sport Soft tires, but I preferred the default Camber settings while running Racing Hard tires.

Here comes the shocker...

I pulled the car back into the garage after a few laps around La Sierra and instructed the pit crew to get my car back on the lift. I was going back to Standard Brakes and Sport Soft tires. I turned the Brake Balance up to 6/5, believing that this 1400kg monster might need a little more squeeze on the front brakes. Let me tell you something...In my opinion this car drives much nicer with the Sport Soft tires. I haven't tried Racing Brakes with the SS tires, but I generally try to avoid Racing Brakes on anything besides actual, real deal, 100% bona fide race cars. I know this Diablo GTR was raced ofte during its day, but it was also capable of being registered to drive on public roads in the United States. So, I plan on keeping Standard Brakes & Sport Soft tires.

Go ahead and try both setups. Don't just take my word for it. I think you'll see the car is nowhere near as twitchy. Braking and turning into a corner is smooth and predictable. No more holding your breath and worrying about how much this car is going to over-rotate around a tight low speed corner. I haven't really been tracking lap times but I do know certain portions of the track very well and know that I am reaching the same top speed on certain sections.

I would love to hear people's opinions on driving the full 564PP Diablo GTR replica, especially their thoughts on the Racing Hard/Racing Brakes versus Standard Brakes/Sport Soft. Though, I wouldn't blame anyone if they would rather wait for Ridox to officially release his Diablo GTR specs. I wouldn't be surprised if there were some changes all. Overall grade is still an A. I don't like the way it drives on Racing Hard tires and brakes, but it performs magnificently with SS tires & Standard Brakes.

@ALB123 I have bought too a few Diablos but not only. I always buy a new car for every different PP. Other way I can't find them quickly in the car list when I need them.

I love your writings. 👍

Very enjoyable to read, thank you so much for giving good reviews ( including any criticism ). I understand about the standard brake choice, I also used standard brakes as it allows better control when braking, even at 6/6 BB the Diablo GTR allows almost full braking up until closer to apex at Midfield and Suzuka ( racing hard tire )

For the GTR replica, it will have special camber for racing hard tire that should be pretty good ( not too twitchy in low speed ), and with this camber setup, it did 1:09s at Midfield - the camber is higher :sly:
The sweet spot ratio for camber is 1.66 front to rear ratio ( front higher ) as can be seen from the camber available in the 500PP tune.

I also found the car respond very well on sports tire and SS tire should be on par with real life hard slick anyway 👍 RH would be closer to medium or soft compound slick.

@ALB123 I have bought too a few Diablos but not only. I always buy a new car for every different PP. Other way I can't find them quickly in the car list when I need them.

I love your writings. 👍

Hurray for the Lamborghini week!

Hurray for @Ridox2JZGTE and his garage and great, hard, professional work!

Thanks again , I will find time in the next 12 hours to post the rest of the Diablos ( including JLOC Diablo GT-1 JGTC on SS to RH tire - replicating real life Suzuka and Motegi JGTC best lap record from 1999-2003 ) then onto Yellowbird and more wangan and CRAP tunes as well as occasional Japanese cars as well the Countach 25th Anniversary.

I did realize, after posting my review, that you DID list Racing Brakes as "Optional". I should have made that clear in my review. It's so funny. When I first started playing GT6 one of the first things I always did to my cars was install Racing Brakes. I figured they would allow me to push a car harder than I probably should and the brakes would bail me out of any trouble. Well, it doesn't exactly work that way...maybe in some situations, but you shouldn't count on it. Now, I almost always have Standard Brakes on every single non-Race Car in my garage. I'm sure there are a couple of exceptions.

I look forward to the remainder of your Lamborghini Replicas. Who needs Shark Week when we have Lamborghini Week here on GTPlanet? :sly: :D

Notes :

The E82 1 Series M Coupe BMW 2011 year model, a must have for any BMW lovers in GT6. I considered the car as a spiritual successor of older M3 cars from the 80's and 90's. Call it M3 little brother :D, with it's compact appearance and wide stance, the sexy coupe is deadly on the track.

Based on the BMW Concept 1 Series Tii '07, this E82 1M Coupe replica is built incorporating one of the most famous suspension manufacturer, OHLINS.

Power is replicated at 335HP, with torque in real life in range from 332 to 370 ft-lb due to overboost function, I decided to set at 341 ft-lb without changing redline using intake and exhaust manifold.

The 1M weight is replicated at 1495kg, with distribution at 51.7 / 48.3 also replicated accurately via ballast weight and positioning.

For LSD, I tried my best to replicate BMW special M Differential Lock, with medium preload and locking rate, but still allows for progressive smooth response. As it's not possible to replicate variable E-Diff, I focused on driving characteristics and traction behavior on the limit.

Suspension as I mentioned, using OHLINS Road & Track DFV Coilover Kit, with spring rate :

Front 60 N/mm / 343 lbs/in / 6.12 kg/mm and Rear 120 N/mm / 686 lbs/in / 12.25kg/mm

Damper has been tweaked for balance of street and track, offering great traction on all situation with balance that can be dialed by the driver at a touch of gas or brake. Ride height has been set at 96mm front and back and optional ride height added based on recommended real life setup with slightly lower front.

The BMW 1M was tuned and tested at Tsukuba, Brands Hatch GP and Silverstone International. When tested at Tsukuba, it managed easy 1:06s on comfort soft, and a best of 1:05s :D

ENJOY

UPDATE 1.16 : Revised suspension ( ride height, damper, ARB, camber ), improved LSD, and corrected weight distribution ( ballast position ) Drives much better now on comfort soft. Added optional ride height ( originally used on older version ) and optional LSD accel for looser handling.

The Ohlins DFV R & T BMW 1M Coupe 2011 replica has been updated with correction and improvement. I will add the CRAP 500PP version shortly.

Notes :

Capable of 1:17.647 on SH tire at Midfield with room to improve, the CRAP 500PP BMW tune is based on Ohlins DFV R & T 1M Coupe replica, with some tweaks, the car is agile and has good balance. Tested mainly at Midfield for online racing with tire wear.

Driving guide in summary :
Brake late from 152mph on 1st corner entry, use 3rd gear for the entry and shift up 4th when entering the next right turn leading to the straight and high speed esses ( use 3rd gear momentarily to tuck the front wheel in at approx 105mph ), exit on 4th at full throttle, good 1st sector at 24.6xxxs. For the left curve after the tunnel, aim on 3rd 80mph apex, hold it there then exit full throttle at 4th gear. The last tunnel entry can be done with late braking, take left apex ( esses ) then hold on right curb quickly, brake hard to hit the left apex entering the tunnel, 2nd gear can be on full gas with minimal steering. The last esses after the 2nd tunnel can be done flat out, just hug both apex :D if the 1st corner entry is done correctly, you can full throttle to exit leading to the straight.

Use triple plate clutch for even quicker shift and acceleration. Reduce LSD accel to 27 or 24 if the rear breaks traction too early.

Replay of the 1:17.647 lap at Midfield on SH tire has been provided as reference / guide on how to attack the cool Midfield track.

ENJOY

Notes :

The Diablo GTR was introduced in 1999 Bologna Auto Motor Show, the very next year 2000, 30 of the Diablo GTR were built.

Here is a short description of the car :

The Lamborghini Super Trophy is a mono marque championship held every year on the most famous race tracks, mainly in Europe. Since 1996 the cars competing in the Lamborghini Super Trophy were the Diablo SV-R, a special version of the Diablo SV model adapted for racing. After four years of competition the Diablo SV-R has proved the extreme reliability of the Lamborghini engines which could stand four racing seasons with no problems. Quite an achievement for an engine designed for road use and brought to the track with no modifications.

Now, to meet the request of the passionate driver participating in the Lamborghini Super Trophy, the House of the Bull is presenting the Lamborghini Diablo GTR, a car based on the Diablo GT, the most powerful produced in series, that will set a new benchmark in the mono marque championships with an engine delivering no less than 590 hp.

In comparison with the Diablo GT, GTR most important features are a modified chassis frame with integrated roll bar, improved suspensions, central fixing nut for the rims, race braking system, additional radiators for transmission oil cooling, very high performance rear wing (directly bolted to the chassis), simplified interiors and weight reduction. The engine is basically the same V12, 6 litre, of the Diablo GT which thanks to the adaption of a specially tuned exhaust system, without catalyzer, delivers 590 PS (575 PS in the GT model)

Special features of the GTR engine, common to the GT, are:

multi-throttle intake manifold with individual intake system
variable intake valve timing system
dynamic air inlet duct upstream of the intake plenum
titanium connecting rods and lighter crankshaft

Unique specifications of the GTR engine are:

improved exhaust system designed for racing
special calibration of the engine management system.

The tubular chassis frame integrates the roll bar and is directly connected to the rear wing.

The engine management system is based on the proprietary Lamborghini LIE electronic engine control system tuned for racing. Fuel injection is sequential multipoint and ignition is static with individual coils. Lamborghini Data Acquisition System, LDAD, and diagnostic functions are integrated in the engine electronic management system.

For the engine cooling, two water radiators in parallel are side mounted to the engine and an engine oil cooler is front mounted as in the Diablo GT. Additional coolers for gearbox and differential oil are installed in order to better match the racing overloads.

The transmission is on the rear wheels through a Lamborghini 5 speed gearbox with one basic gear ratio option and an alternative option for a shorter 5th gear ratio. The gear box lever is in an asymmetric position on the central tunnel in order to be closer to the steering wheel, for better control. The steering system is power assisted.

The front suspension is modified for racing. Shock absorbers and anti-roll bars are adjustable. The rims are lightweight magnesium alloy with central fixing nut and they accept racing type tyres. A special racing fuel tank with fast filling system has been installed.

The braking system is based on the Diablo GT high performance module. New racing brake calipers have been adopted to better match the very severe racing conditions.

Most of the body is carbon fiber made, except for the roof, which is made of steel for torsional rigidity, while the doors are mode of aluminum, for safety reasons.

The cockpit fittings are simplified to meet racing requirements. The driver seat has been moved towards the longitudinal axle of the car, reducing the size of the central tunnel, to ensure a better driving position. Racing switches for ignition and for other functions have been adopted instead of the series push buttons. The fire extinguisher system is installed on the right side of the cockpit with activating switch on the tunnel. The driver's seat is of racing type with a six-point safety belt and the steering wheel is also racing type.

The weight of the Diablo GTR is 1400kg with 40/60 distribution with power set at 582HP / 590 PS.
Suspension is setup based on Diablo SV-R replica which has twice as stiff spring rate as the SV and 6.0 Diablo GT based on articles about the Diablo SV-R KONI based suspension. The damper and ARB has been set to perform on high grip racing tires. There are 4 sets of camber provided, the 3 lower camber are mainly used for comfort soft to sports soft, while the highest camber specifically set for racing hard tire.

Gearing has been corrected, with final calculated based on 2.529 final drive and 1.590 transfer gear ratio. LSD uses similar setup as Diablo replica, with 45% lock as in real life.

The Diablo GTR was tuned and tested at Tsukuba, Suzuka, Motegi Road Course and Midfield. At Midfield on RH tire, it's capable of 1:09s lap. The replay has been provided to showcase the car performance at the track on racing hard tires, should be enjoyable to watch the blistering lap :D

Enjoy
