Can anyone care to explain exactly how they get Rivals Mode to print money?

Im doing like the quote below, but im only getting 2,500 exp pr rival every time!
Beating the rival with minimum margin, and doing so on the next one.
Always 2,500 exp, even after 15-20 rivals on "Near Me".
And almost nothing in cash.

I think it was CAMAROBOY69 who tried to explain to me that Drag races are cash cows...
Well, how does it work?

Anywho, once you've got a pretty decent lap, and importantly, consistency, simply view the leaderboard before entering the race, and cycle through the options with the X button until you get to Near Me. Highlight the person directly above you on the boards, even if their time is identical to yours, and make them your Rival. As long as you beat their ghost cleanly, you've got a nice pile of cash. To make it even more credit-productive, don't try to smash that ghost, but instead, work out how to beat it on just the final corner, by a small margin. This makes it easier to do the next step...

Just rinse and repeat, really! After collecting your bounty, find the next of the closest people to your time, out of the entire leaderboard, and make them your rival.

Once you get higher into the leaderboards you start getting money. I recommend to do a lap first to set you up(try going at like 60-75% of your best from a dead stop so that way it bumps you around 25k-50k creds), dont go balls out though, dont want to lose out on some money that could be earned.

After you get to the area of credits then start sandbagging your opponents, and from there you could make a couple mil within the hour.

It also depends on the rival you are racing, the higher they are in the leaderboard the more credits you get, getting 2500 seems like you are racing people who are very low down

For what it's worth, I never could get Rivals to print money for me either. I guess if it's easy for you to set top times in an event (and it needs to be easy to set top times, as otherwise, you can't slow down by a good margin and still set a time earning you decent bounties), and you've got the patience to keep repeating it only going faster a tiny bit each time, then it does work for you, but it's never worked for me. :indiff:
