RKM Motorsport - Tuned Tuners - May '13

i just found another missing part in one of your tunes:

Carbon Hood for the March ;)

i'll be trying this car now on the new seasonals 👍
i guess it will be too easy tho since it is max tuned, i may be checking out the new engine restriction as well...

Thanks, it's fixed now. :) I used it for the seasonals and it was a cakewalk. Although it was a good way of testing the new gearing.

ok i'm back from the event,
i gotta say i love the setup of that car, one of the best handling FF cars i've driven in this game since almost all of the understeering was eliminated, even through accelerating in mid/high-speed corners, i can't wait for the updated gearing! great job

note to everyone who stops by for the March for the new seasonal event:
even with limiting the engine to 75% it was still way too easy, i was first just before lap 2 ended so maybe you want to reduce it to 50% for this race in order to make it a little bit more competetive

i'll try this car on more seasonals later as i haven't finished all of the FF events, hopefully the updated gear-ratio will be online soon ;)

The NSX-R 3rd Anniversary has just recieved some new gear ratios! Also we've made some additions and edits to the settings sheet itself, so let us know if they're understandable enough. 👍

This may sound silly but, wouldn't it be better if you tuned all your cars on racing soft's for better lap times? I am fairly new to tuning, correct me if I am wrong or a reason to why you use sports soft's, thanks.. :)

I tried teh Enzo and Gallardo last night. Mine were previously fully upgraded but the tunes still worked pretty well. I'm quite heavy handed with the accel and brake (l2&r2) so i turned Skid recovery on and i altered the brake balance and abs a bit til i got used to braking more carefully.
At first i was a little dissappointed with how the cars snaked all over place when braking from very high speeds (not the tune, just the cars themselves), I use the 'circuit de le sarthe 2009 (no chicanes)' track for my test track and it has a fantastic straight followed by a very nasty 90 degree right turn. one thing driving these cars has done is vastly improve my braking and i'm a lot less heavy handed with the braking and its helped improve lap times with my other cars.
I've never been a big fan of teh Enzo but after testing out the tune its deffinitly begun to win me over so cheers m'dears :D

The Civic VTi-R tune has recieved new gear ratios. Sledgehammer next. 👍

Edit: Sledgehammer updated.
Edit 2: S13 Speed Star updated with new gear ratios.
Edit 3: R34 Black edition too.

This right here is the result of constant evolution since early GT4 tuning efforts. From an initial 350-370hp to 385 and now nearly 400hp, it's grown up a bit and matured noticeably. This doesn't mean it's gotten any fatter; in fact, it's down by 28kg. Beating up on older GT class racecars is easy with this car as long as there's enough corners; it does exactly as you tell it to, exactly when you do.

Revised Jan 12, 2011.

Revised (again), Jan 28, 2011 with slightly different parts selection and updated alignment + differential settings.

Heyy :Dxx used this tune... awesome... i had absolutely no problems... it earned me 800k in one go :Dxx thanks

Tuner Comments:
The Civic Type R ’08, the first 4 door to wear the Type R badge since the awesome Accord Type R. Loaded with the latest technology Honda had to offer, it’s already an amazing car out of the box. So of course we had to improve it. First up was power. If we had just tuned the original engine, we’d just have the VTi-R tune again, but as a 4 door. So we turbocharged this one. 392bhp on a 1051kg chassis may sound mad for a FWD car, but this one has a few surprises up it’s intake. If it wasn’t for the wing, this would be one hell of a sleeper.

OMFG... BEST TUNE EVER :P i won the seasonal by 1:22:00 :Dxx awesome... prehaps a dodge viper ACR in the future?? :Dxx

LFA GT gear ratios added. It's a lot more friendly in lower gears and it'll fly in top gear. :D

Here's a little review of your 300ZX:

There.
In all seriousness, what a brilliant car! It left me speechless. My first choice was to take it to the 'ring for testing because the numbers it put out seemed great for the Green Hell.

I realized what this car was as soon as I hit the first left-hander. Oversteer that can be so easily controlled and corrected, very precise turn-in even under braking, acceleration that simply fits whatever track it's put on, and abundant power throughout most of the RPM range. And this was on Sport Soft tires.

So then I took it the 24hour Nurburgring. The first corner really tests your timing and your car's braking ability since it's such a low speed corner after a long straight. The car feels sure footed and still handles pretty well under full braking. Also, as mentioned before, the oversteer on corner exit really makes this car so much more fun to drive.

My favorite feature on this car is how neutral it feels when cornering (under little acceleration of course), braking, accelerating, even drifting. Great all-around car. It already has abut 852km since I bought it just a couple days ago.

I am only able to adjust down to 4.019 in 1st gear... Can you please explain? Thank you.

Tuner Comments:
The LFA is a pretty exclusive car. There are only 500 in the world. So we got one and gave it the RKM treatment. What? There are still 499 left, don’t give us that evil stare. When we first test drove the LFA, the engine scared the crap out of us. So badly infact that we’ve left it stock. However we did strip it of over 200kg and improved on the already great handling. You’ll need to treat this one like a fine woman. Carefully and elegantly. If you mistreat this LFA, it’ll discard you without a second thought. If you treat it well, it’ll reward you in large amounts. Throttle control and smooth steering is a must to get the best out of this LFA GT.

20th Feb 2011 - Transmission & ballast/power settings.

I have just run the RX-7 for a dozen of laps. It's great. The car is very predictable and is pretty easy to handle. One thing I did not like was the front end understeering while coasting. I adjusted the Anti-roll bar up front to 5 instead of 7 and magic happened. The car is now very very well tuned. It totally suits my driving style and is a real blast to drive. You can basically grip it or drift it and it will go where you want to go.

Thx a lot, good work

I don't want to put anyone to trouble but I have a 71 mach 1 mustang and I can't find a good tune setup for it. Can u help?

If you look on the first post of this thread, there's a Mach 1 tune already. It's one of the first tunes on the list.

Since they added ballast to the latest version, I tried to play around with it on the Enzo which has such a light front end but I can't seem to improve the lack of grip in the front end. Any suggestions?

I can't set the gear ratios to as low as you specified in your tune. I set the max speed before working through the individual gears. I only tried this on the LFA and the EK Civic tunes. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

This is a problem we faced when we tuned it and no matter what we did to the suspension, it wouldn't solve the problem. The best way was to change driving style when using the Enzo. As for ballast, we've not experimented with it on the Enzo. My only suggestion would be to add some weight behind the front wheels to try and bring the weight further forward.

Did you set the gearbox to default settings before trying?
