RKM Motorsport - Tuned Tuners - May '13

Finally you published your Impreza TC settings
Yeah, figured I'd post it along with the other Kia so it'll have a friend.
Your Sidewinder NSX.
I took it out onto Nurburgring GP/D in the 500PP seasonal today, and it blew me away. The tune as I understand it isn't even for circuit racing?
Anyway, the NSX had good acceleration, faster than most of the 500PP+ bracket, and the car was always in the powerband, but the special bit is how the car handles. It's like it's on rails... And no matter how I thrashed it, the tail was always kept in check, only sliding out ever so slightly to let you know you've overstepped the mark for the previous corner.
I feel perhaps there is more to be got out of the engine, but then again, this is just a 500PP tune and not a maxed version of the NSX (of which you have 3 )
All in all a great tune guys :)
Thanks for the review! Yes, the tune is for an online series called Legend of the Streets, which uses twisty Toscana circuits mostly, so I'm surprised that it does so well offline on normal tracks.

Yeah we love our NSX's here. Considering a name change to NSX Motorsport in the near future.
Daily street legal driven Subaru with awesome looks and performance to match. Good job on this one! :D

Roj, can u send me the NSX back and tell me what setup is most relevant for my car, so i can put it on? Its going to be wingless, no aero!
So tuning it to slide on sport mediums makes it fine on sport softs eh? Cool.

When I have a free trade day, sure. The NSX Street Legal setup for the NA1 NSX is the one you need, since it was based on an NA2 setup anyway.
thanks dude.

👍

I used this setup on my NSX Type R, fresh from the dealer. 0,0km's.
Its one of my street legal daily drivers. so again, no weight has been taken off!

Must say that it works pretty good. The car has simple bolt on upgrades. No flywheel, tranny and no aero. around 377 hp now without break in and without oil change. So the power might still rise a little.

It drives pretty good on sport soft. On long corners it sometimes wants to skid away, but it is controllable with good throttle control. The car has good grip, but on tight corners you can powerslide it like crazy. Tire wear is reasonable. But when the tires start to wear a little but, you're gonna notice it quite quick. you need to watch out more with corner exits and with cornering speeds. its gonna slide! Still, its a great setup. I hope it gets a little revision to get a little more grip. But it is an awesome setup on this car. Great work :D

Well, I saw RKM had an Impreza TC tune, and got excited. Put all the parts on, changed all the settings, painted it red with gold rims, and jumped on the track... and lost by 20 seconds in a 5 lap race.

OK, OK, so it was the 650 PP seasonal run on Rte 5, so I was down 50 PP, but I thought RKM were the miracle working garage! I mean, sure, the car had endless grip, handled brilliantly, was solid on the brakes, and easy to push around the track. But why couldn't I beat the McLaren?

Seriously, though, great tune. I had a blast getting to 3rd place :)

The Impreza is a fantastic car, but it can't hold a candle to the McLaren F1 GTR. The Impreza is nearly 200kg heavier, 120bhp down and doesn't have anywhere near as much downforce as the F1. The gap between 600 and 650 PP is much more than the gap between say, 500 and 550.

Well done on making it to third though! At least you get a horn for your efforts! :D

Yet my 514PP S2000 LM can get second place at the Route 5 650PP race...

Yeah, I went in just to see what I could do with it. It's a shame that the seasonals end up leaving so many cars useless unless you really hammer in the HP limiter. I have beaten the 500pp race at Trial Mountain in every one of your Civics, though :)

So... from November to now... guess the Supra was never made?

RJ's PS3 died a while ago and his save file gone with it. Pretty much anything that was sent to him is now in the void. I'll send you a Supra if you need it back.

Left hand flips tables right hand flips bird problem solved.

Only one problem there, truckers state side only use the left for the bird :P. Wait, I'm not part of this conversation.

*leaves mumbling to self*

:dopey:

Did it just get a yellow light of death or did the hard drive fry? 'cause I can fix yellow light problem.
