RKM Motorsport - Tuned Tuners - May '13

Just this morning, I finally found the Tommy Kaira ZZII waiting for me in my UCD. I had heard it was cheap but i was still surprised that it was only 59,xxx credits. I immediately took it out to the 'Ring for a test drive.

I almost immediately felt like i was driving something 3000 kg, not 1000 kg. I didn't even make a full lap before i quit to perform some serious changes. With everything installed and some much needed tuning, there was a clear difference. For one, you could turn well enough to the make Turn 1 at the Nordschleife going above 40mph, and on the back straight a healthy 222 mph was achieved. I still wasn't happy however. The Destroyer still felt a little too heavy.

I did a little experimenting with the aerodynamics and found 12-37 to suit my driving style better. A nice balance of downforce and control.

I went back to the 'Ring in the ZZII during the 650PP Seasonal Event thinking i would be able to crush the opposition. I was wrong, after a few tries i was only able to clinch 2nd with a 5.xxx sec gap (with the McLaren F1 in the field) and a lap time of 6:32.xxx. I love this car, but i think i'll stick with my Zonda R (or Zonda X as it is Dragonthing's tune) for 650PP races. 👍

The ZZII is similar to the Enzo in that regard. It feels twice as heavy than it actually is. Glad you liked the car though, even if it flopped against the McLaren F1.

Well yesterday's casual touge with Sapphire and Che69velle was a lot of fun. I got to let the FC, GT86 GT-Apex, and Miura LP380 out for some fun times on my course.

I can see myself running LOTS in the future now that Che69velle's Scarlet Lady is in my possession, so I have a "shoto" to go off of for other builds.

For my non fighting gamers, shoto is a term named after Ryu and Ken's fighting style. Ryu in Street Fighter is a textbook definition of a solid fighting game character because he's good at everything, but not great at anything. Thus, Ryu and other characters that share this trait have become referred to as shotos.

Che69velle's Scarlet Lady FD is what I would consider a shoto in terms of touge. It doesn't lean towards power or grip because it has a solid balance of both.

so now that you had some time to test her what do you think? and i have an fc tune for 450pp you may like as well.

Mind you Roj that the F1 is a legit race car with some serious handling. And i tried again this morning and won by 2.xxx sec after pulling ahead on the final straight.

IT IS POSSIBLE!

The most evil car ever...prize to whoever guesses what set this:

6.6 to 60 is hot hatch territory, but 18 seconds to 100 is slower than a family hatchback. I'm guessing it's a Kei car of some kind.
