RKM Motorsport - Tuned Tuners - May '13

The second-gear burnouts at about 50mph on Sports tyres are huge fun, aren't they? :D and I would say yes if I didn't already have all the Nismo and Amuse cars already :dopey:

you bet, i just start in second and let her rip and modulate the throttle to gain grip. i already have multiple nismo's and amuse's, i just took them for the pinkslips cause apart from his scuderia it was the best he had.

Hey, Im new to this forum here, but just wondering if many of these cars that you guys have would be typically the same when tuning gt5 or slight differences??
but i think i might just answer my own question when saying that i tested one of your tunes on the Maserati GT S and i must say, VERY NICE.
When driving it i noticed how clean my turns where yet to mention my acceleration on straight aways (:, i thought i was doing some decent tunes.
Well i was wrong heh any suggestions on tuning would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks

Hey guys and gal me again,

Was wondering if you were ready for me to send my crx SiR to you? I did a C63 AMG review for you about a week or two ago.
Yeah, send it to either me or Dragonthing. Not Rotary Junkie because he isn't near a working PS3.
Then Roj should accept my request for my SC300 :D
Well since it's the SC300 and not the awful SC430, sure.
Here, I spent hours trying to break this lap record with the same driving methods I accidentally set it with. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqedBvRrD_s

Same RKM FC3S, just at my turf now.
Nice run. I hate it when I run faster by accident too, it's like my inner self is taunting me.

I don't completely understand what you're asking I'm afraid. Do you mean if we post settings that are different to the ones we use on our personal cars? If so, no. The settings we post are the ones we use ourselves. :)

The best thing you can do is experiment with the sliders and feel the differences yourself. There's a number of guides around the forum here too if you don't mind reading a lot. 👍

But then it will be forget in the dust because of mah super awesome Shootout starting May 4th

Your shootout better be super awesome, because the GT Academy game comes out tomorrow and I'm going to drive that little Nissan Leaf GT Academy Version until the cows come home.

Hell no! :grumpy:

I already found the additions to the playlist. As it stands, the playlist contains:

Dogfight - move
Noizy Tribe - move
Stop Your Self Control - Marko Polo
Fight For Love Tonight - Ace Warrior
Saturday Night Fever - Dave Rodgers
One Night In Arabia - Go Go Girls
Boom Boom Japan - Dave Rodgers
Break In2 the Nite (Dave Rodgers Remix) - move
Take Me To The Top - D. Essex
Boom Boom Fire - D. Essex
Speedy Speed Boy - Marko Polo
Burning Desire - Mega NRG Man
Supertonic Lady - Mega NRG Man
Running in the 90's - Max Coveri
Night Of Fire - Niko
Express Love - Mega NRG Man
Pamela - Matt Land
Disco Fire - Dave Rodgers
Steel Blade - Jean Love (*NEW*)
On My Wings - Manuel (*NEW*)

I'm probably going to remove a song or two again because Shuffle sucks and I may never hear a couple of these songs often.

try this, i made a playlist for touge for lots and added different genres to suit the taste of various members, so euro beat, metal, rap, dub step, techno and rock are in there with legnths to cover a whole lap on most tracks

Well i just said that because you have at the top not all gt5 so my question was when tuning a car in gt5 and taking it maybe from a gt4 car spec is there gonna be any slight differences. if that helps clear things up

Well the dub step I'll ignore (I won't go into why, unless you want me to), but eurobeat, metal, techno, rock, and MAYBE rap (if it's old school) sound nice. I'll check it out later on.

Unfortunately it seems like I missed Rotary Junkie. I wanted to ask him just how much work he put into the RX-7 R400. I simply can't believe how potent this car is. At this point it may sound like I'm just easily impressed, but dammit there's so many good things here. STOP IT, GUYS (and girl)! STOP IT! I'm looking dumb here! D:<

I'm not a tuner, but I think that between GT4 and GT5, you would be lucky to only have to make "slight" changes in tuning a car. The changes made to the physics in GT5 are different enough that you would probably end up making a whole different tune for the same car when coming from GT4.

Don't credit me on this. That's just my guess from playing so many different racing games and feeling out the differences in car behavior between them over the years. Your best bet would be to have one of the tuners answer your question.

You can take settings from GT4 and use them in GT5, with slight alterations. GT4 uses different values for the ride height and other things, so you just have to translate them over to GT5 on your own. GT4 settings will work better than GT5 default settings, but of course they won't be as good as proper GT5 settings.

I know he's put at least as much work into the RX-7 as I have into my NSX.

And NO. It's fun. :D

that fd of his will work on touge, but the tires won't last past 3 laps, and considering there's been 15 lap battles in lots that may be bad unless you can pass or outrun your opponent.

I'll say this. The R400 is a case where the ends do not yet justify the means. I've put way too much work into it to still be somewhat unhappy with it.

So I just drove the Trans-Cammer round a lap of the Nurburgring...that was fun O..O 7:37-ish, faster than my 550bhp Grand National by a good 15 seconds, and that's the only other tuned car on my lap times board

its great for touge battles, and ironically gets hard at tough sections of courses.

Eh. I can't really work with music that I hardly feel any sense of emotion from. Sorry. Don't go stabbin' me now, I already have to worry about the guys behind me in class that listen to Skrillex. If I ever get on the topic of dub step around them, I fear that I'm going to be hit by a chair. :guilty:

Meh. I don't have just one type music I like, simply listen to it if I like it.

Same here. I'll listen to anything, but I'll only willingly listen more than once if I like the song. Dub step seems to be that genre that sounds okay, but I feel like it misses a key element that I look for when I hand pick songs to drive to, work to, run to, etc. That key element is emotion. I'll listen to something and I can always feel some sort of emotion that the song is portraying and then inflicting upon me.

Maybe I just don't get it or something, I dunno. All I know is that when I'm chasing down some airhead driving a Veyron, GT-R, or whatever's popular on SSR7 in my Espirit, I'm playing this song just for them:

At each turn, I'll get closer...and closer... Once I catch their slipstream and shift into my drafting purpose 5th gear, there's no more hope of winning.

WMMT4 soundtrack?

I like your choice.

also how the hell were you able to drive so smoothly in the touge?! D:

It's what happens with anything you drive long enough. I already have a decent basis to go off of in both my own skill and the work done to the FC. If I have a hang of both the course and the car (which I did in this case), I can drive pretty much any way I want to.

The exception to that rule being the X2010/11. I draw the line at Formula 1. I eventually became comfortable driving F1 cars, but I could never get used to the X10. My ultimate downfall is my own senses. I'll make a mistake out of a perfectly good turn just because the drastically higher corner entry speed made me uncomfortable and I tried to correct it because I thought I wouldn't make it. Yeah...I hate driving the X2010 quite a bit.

Speaking of music, here's a real song for you all, perfect soundtrack to GT5 *snip*

I only wish it was a little louder and in higher quality. I like it! :D
