RKM Motorsport - Tuned Tuners - May '13

The most bizarre thing just happened:
I was reading this while walking down the road on my mobile, I get to the bit about the Camaro and then look up to see where I'm going, guess what I see?
What the Camaro Deathscythe would look like in real life driving by in front of me. Matte grey with those exact stripes...

I've seen a few real life versions of our cars. The most frequent one is The Bread Van (white Subaru Impreza Wagon). :D

Not saying its the best line but if your talking about 2-1the long banked turn just floor the car and keep it just under the driving line. You shouldn't have a problem golding it that way even with an auto trans.👍👍

That helped some. I broke out the wheel last night and nailed it easy. Had been going a higher line since the DS3 is finicky. Then I figured out the shift points and left my entire friend list in the dust. :D I think I was something like 11-1200 overall when I quit. 👍 And I out Leafed Roj's fu some too.

Little do you know young Baka, that a Leaf-Fu master never shows his full strength unless completely necessary. Victory has once again been taken from you. The true master will always remain on top. :sly::dopey:

 Then I shall try again, my Master.

This is starting to be more fun than regular ol' GT5. :D

Tuner Comments:
YassirNosir liked his R8 that we tuned for him, after we tuned his C63. So naturally he sent us a DB9 to tune after the R8. He wanted us to work our magic with this one too, so we did.

Want to win with class? Forget the Ferrari, take the Aston Martin. The DB9 is a very pretty car, even with a lip kit and a big wing, it’s still pretty, just look at the DBR9. We decided the DB9 should keep it’s high class style of driving, so there’s no oversteering antics here, just insane amounts of grip with mild understeer to keep things stable and with 643bhp, overtaking is effortless.

5th Mar 2011 - Transmission & ballast/power settings.

I set up my DB9 exactly like this but somehow have less power and PP. My power is at 614hp, 499ft-lb, and 577PP  anybody know why? Was there an update that made this car less powerful or something?

How many miles on your car?

tcoffin014
It only has 3 miles on it haha. I had no idea break in made any difference in this game and I've been playing it since it came out

Yeh, brake in is about 180ish, but just have your Bob run the Laguna enduro (200 miles) and the numbers should match 👍. Welcome to GTP :D

Alright blokes and blokettes? I thought I'd pop in and say hi again. :)

But of course that as always means I've got a problem :sly:

I attempted this tune above, but the ratios are impossible to do. It's a new model I bought, carried out all steps before the transmission correctly (or so it seems at the moment) and the transmission buggers itself up.

Well, what I mean is I select the max speed (224) and try the first gear ratio. You guys say it should be 3.161 but the lowest my first gear transmission on the game can go is 3.288.

What on Earth have I done this time?

Not you. Pd always change gearing. For no apparent reason. Just every update it happens :(

So you've used the same engine parts too? Hmmm, perhaps it's a typo on my end. I'll get back to you on that. 👍

Oh, no no no. I'm not fiddling with any sort of transmission settings. I'm possibly the worst tuner ever, so I leave it to people like RKM :sly:

And I'm not sure if you guys take requests, but I'm looking for an ultimate RX-7. I don't want fun to drive, I want fast. And there are pretty no RX-7 TC modifications, which makes me a little sad. The stock TC feels a little gutless. Well, not gutless but I want a bit more power from it :P

I have one that is really fast. In good hands, it'll keep up with a R35 TC (managed to beat one in a time attack battle at Toscana).

I have one too if I remember correctly. I'll have to hop on GT5 some time and check for you.

We do take requests but only after a review is done for us first. See the first post in the thread for details.

Me and a friend were talking about driving tricks that are used purely for showing off and I brought up the old school 360 spin. He said that it's really cool when someone does a 720 spin.

Am I wrong for arguing with him, saying that a 360 spin is better looking than a 720 because I feel like it demonstrates a better control over the car? :odd:

I mean the most common case where a 720 spin happens isn't even intentional (at least when I do one). It's usually an attempted 360 spin that has too much momentum on the recovery, which causes the car to spin 180 a second time, so you just say "Screw it" and cover up the mistake by completing the second spin, making 720 degrees.
