Just got this game tonight. So far, runs super smooth on PS4 and is very very fun!

I heard everybody raving about how amazing this game was, and I thought they were surely overreacting. I mean... it's car soccer. That's cool, seems fun... but c'mon. Doesn't seem like it's anything to really freak out over.

And then I played it. And I'm freaking out. It's amazing.

Well gentleman, first of all, hello. Secondly, the reason why I'm entering this soccer field is because my cousin gifted me this game through Steam, so now I have the honor of being able to play Rocket League.

And man, you can tell where the hype comes from; the game runs very well even on my dinky PC (roughly 40-50 FPS and very fluid speed at that), and the overall gameplay is all shades of unique and fun. This game was all that it promised and then some, I'm having a great time with it. I have also played a few games in Hockey mode, and boy were they chaotic... Despite the icy field not actually reducing the cars' grip, it's still a tricky mode to get the hang of due to those puck physics, and it's rewarding when you get a play where you do nothing but drag the puck along, all the way to the opposite goal.

Could I count on GTP's ever-so-friendly-and-able community for some online games in the future? I would love to have that chance, to be duly honest. My Steam nickname is Apex HC, to clarify.

Now just got a few things. Does it matter now on which one you use to get like everything else? Mods and whatnot or do you need to use the car you want to unlock stuff?

What I meant is that I had to go on a particular Server location instead of my usual Middle East or even Europe Servers and then hope that I join the same room as the other did and not going in a separated room.

I just got this game and got a good chunk of the trophies.
Now just got a few things. Does it matter now on which one you use to get like everything else? Mods and whatnot or do you need to use the car you want to unlock stuff?

You can use any car to unlock items. You just had to complete the matches. Doesn't matter if you win or loss.
You can use for example "Breakout" and end up unlocking items for other cars...

For Sweet Tooth (not sure if non-ps4 versions have them), you had to win with each car, DLC cars doesn't count.

Someone should correct me if I'm wrong.

Finally got my Platinum Trophy for the vanilla game after accepting a friend request from a random bloke while playing several matches together. Also went through my stats, and I have (somehow) managed to score over 1000 goals online so far. Soon to hit level 39 too.

Though, what's up with the random stuttering lately? Anyone else been experience the same issue? It's been getting on my nerves as my ping is pretty much always green.

You couldn't have said it any better mate. I thought the exact same thing.

I was utterly shocked when my dad finally admitted to want to play it. After watching me have so much fun with it.

I love when these little luck shots happen. It is especially funny when nobody on the other team goes for the ball on the faceoff, and it goes right into their goal.

It turns out, I only had to turn off and on my wireless signal on my router.

OM to the G. One of the most unexpected events occurred just today on Solo Standard.

We were down 1-2, late in the game teammate shoots and misses, I get rebound but miss, teammate at the back gets a good shot and the game is tied with 4 seconds to go. On the next kickoff, we get the ball in the opposition zone, and as the clock runs out and the ball bounces for one last time, their goalie misses the ball and I get a clear hit on goal. And that was it, when I was already prepared for an overtime.

Rocket League update 1.11 is out. I'm loving the news maps. Gonna post some videos soon showing them off. Also the update is pretty damn huge. I try to post the patch notes but it wasn't showing when i click on the link. But it's on their website if you guys wanna go check it out.

Oh yea! Also update 1.13 came out yesterday and introduced some tweaks to competitive mode. Now we know where we are at after a match and it's a couple of othet things they did to it. Btw snow day is back

Get placement in both 3v3 ranked modes. Immediately get matched with players who don't know how to play.

Had two different guys drop out of ranked 2v2 when they were on my team. First time I killed it because the people I was against must have been new, but the second one I got killed. Ugh people and their If I can't win I'll quit attitudes

Anyway, I've been sort of thinking about running a GTP Rocket League tournament, I just need to gauge interest.

The ranking system is not balanced. You can win so many games and and barley move up a division and then lose one or two and fall down a division. That's some bull crap. I hope they adjust that.
