Hey,

Today is the day. Who is all watching it? Speed is not showing all of it, they cut off at 9p.m. eatsern time. It sucks! I love the night and at around 3a.m., I love to be up and watching! Oh well, I will have to live with what I have.

I also saw there is no more Sports Racer class, only SP2, AGT, DM, and the GT classes. It should be interesting with the new Fabcars racing. I posted some pics of a couple cars in the field.

It started at 12:30 eastern time. I want the Ford DP car to win with David Brabham. The field seems slower then last year.

Yeah, the feild is suppose to be safer and cheaper. That #66 GT3R has it won, the Ford DP car is 6 or 7 laps behind. We'll see some better action at Miami in Febuary.

Yeah, maybe. I still want the Ford to win though with Brabham!!!!:) Here is what I look like right now. I have been watching all of it!:dunce:

Its about time a car other than a LMP or SRPI or II won the Daytona 24hrs. Its pretty cool how those cars can run for 24 hrs straight and not have many problems(I noticed there were only about 25 cars left at the end of the race when it started with around 40.)

DP's are a complete Joke. They are an absolute insult to sportsracing cars. I noticed somebody mentioned the feild seemed slower. DP's are about 10 seconds slower than the old SRP cars. SRP cars are about 8 seconds slower than LMP 900 cars. Basically what i'm telling you is the fastest DP lap time was about 1:51. An Audi R8 could run about 1:35 according to an engineer on another board i'm on. A GT car winning a race like that is pathetic. Also, note that GTS cars in grand am are merely rebadged year old Trans Am cars. GT cars and SRP2 car are heavily weighted to keep the speed down. Why you might ask, because Grand Am is the worst sanctioning body on earth.

Im going to the skip barber 3day school at daytona this spring break. It utilizes the 24-hour course. I have searched for a good map of the 24-hour track but cant find one. Does anyone knoe the location of one? It would be even better if it had suggested lines.

Thanks.

With the declining Prototypes field, I've always thought that the GT3s were due a win at Daytona.

I'm pleased for Johnny Mowlem (a Brit driving the 2nd placed Ferrari). I've been following his career for a few years now, and he's moving on, working hard. It's nice to see.
