Im not very fast by any means on this track/car combo but I can say you should deffinetly try using bumper cam lol, that way you can see everything in front of you 👍

Ill leave the technical advice up to the faster guys

I do use the bumper camera. I only post the replays in cockpit view so you can see the steering input.

Turn 1 braking point is good but don't stay full brake as long. I hit rbakes hard @ 100m quickly downshift to 3rd and take as much brake off as I can to get the back end around then get on throttle in 3rd and make quick upshift to really drive through that tough section.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. What about my line through the double left just before the start/finish straight? Do you drive a single or double-apex line through that compex?

I haven't even touched Rome yet haha

I messed around on Madrid a bit and that was it. I bought a new car today, so I was wrapped up doing that all day, now tonight and tomorrow I am going to have to put some times down and see if I can get up to speed.

How do you get the replay data to youtube? I'd love to upload a vid and ask for the same advice, since I know I'm already out probably, just for learning experience sake.

There are a few different ways to do it...

The easiest (and ugliest) is to just use your camera, phone, or video camera to record what is on the screen during a replay. Transfer it to your computer and upload it to youtube. Done! If you're video camera uses miniDV cassettes (or any tape cassettes for that matter) you will likely need to import the raw video into some sort of video editor and save it as .avi, .wmv, etc. I use Windows Move Maker just because it's there, it's easy to use, and it's relatively fast when working with small files.

Or if your video camera has an AV-in terminal, you can feed the video and sound straight from the PS3 to the video camera, bypassing the lens and image sensor. You tend to get better image quality this way compared to recording your screen. Again, after recording, you will need to get it onto the computer.

Another method (this is what I use) is to use the AV-in terminal on your video camera and use the camera itself as a digital converter and use video editing software (again, Windows Movie Maker works fine) to capture the video. It basically makes the video camera act like a webcam, except instead of seeing whatever is in front of the lens, you get direct video and audio feed from the PS3. You don't need to record the video onto tape this way, which is one less step. Then just convert and upload.

I'm sure there are easier, faster, and higher resolution ways to do this, but my video camera is from the 480i and miniDV cassette days, so these are just the methods with which I'm familiar.

Well my phone unfortunately wont record video without an sd card. I was wondering if you could take the actual save replay and just transfer it to a pc or something like that.

anyone willing to share his GT-R set-up since the round was cancelled anyway?

It'd help me to further understand tuning.

Nope, the replays can only be viewed in GT5.

You can't change setups in the GT Academy time trials.
