Great shots again! Never get disappointed comnig in here for a peak. I'm really digging the shot of the McLaren. You can actually see the heat coming out of the exhaust if you look closley. Great job. 👍

Incredible stuff here Rue, really, really digging the texture based images - you've managed to capture the feel and...er...texture! Of the pieces in a really interesting manner. The portrait shots are also very cool, something that I need to explore myself! I also feel that your processed is spot on, each shot has a unique feel about it but somehow links with all your previous work. Very impressive gallery, I should think you'll have no problem at all shooting at the Le Mans Classic with talent like this.

AWESOME!!!! I always love to see street cars take on the track. Some of those look pretty mean. I'll be goin' to you Flickr to download most of them. Also,was it any hard to focus on such heavy rain? I've never shot under such hard showers.

1st time for me commenting in this thread, but Gorgeous photo's Rue 👍, i would visit it more frequently but slow computer takes ages to load pics, will definitely check out your Flickr next time i'm on it though.
You're very lucky to live so close to Castle Combe (been there a couple of times), really love the MGB (i think, could be wrong) pic and the MK1 Escort pic... man i'd love to have them cars sitting on my drive.
also like the crazy red Mini and rare Zagato Alfa, as well as the Suby Brat and Montego (haven't seen one of those in years).

Some nice stuff from Combe there, difficult circuit to make looks particularly exciting due it's rather poor angles that the track offers to spectators. You definitely seem to have got the hang of panning, in particular the Golf Mk4(?) is a great pan.

Most the head-on's are pretty good too, although I'd try to make sure that if you've got a bit of wheel showing just take the shutter speed down a tad to show some movement in the alloys. Also, as a bit of criticism I'd maybe try to take some wider shots - they often help to place the car in the background a bit more and give an impression of location, speed and movement. This can be tied in with using a slower shutter speed too. Other than that...can't really fault them. Definitely nice and sharp.

Also top marks for staying out in the rain, I know it can seem a chore when the weather is miserable but you usually manage to get some decent shots with the various rooster tails.

I realise I'm probably repeating stuff you probably know, but I thought I'd share my opinion! Hopefully it's actually helpful...

Yes, I'm always open to tips and constructive criticism. I know exactly what you mean about opting for a slightly slower shutter speed to portray movement in the cars. My problem is that I was focusing on trying to get a sharp shot of every car and then I kind of forgot to take pictures that evoke speed. I've been doing panning shots for a long while and feel I've got pretty good at them over the months. This time round I wish I had done more. In terms of wide angle photos, I had 200mm with the x2 extender so that wasn't really an option unfortunately.

That picture is amazing. the rest of the stuff is awesome too, the car photography is uncanny and very well composed, and you have panning shots more than dominated, but as always I love the random stuff you post, too.
