RUF situation

With all you people and your constant whining about wanting RUFs, it's pretty obvious why there is such a great amount of disappointed fans. Not to mention that PD has so many requests going their way, they don't know who they should respond to first.

As for the red sentence, that's just....babble.

I wasn't picking at you specifically, so sorry if it sounded that way.

I'm just pointing out how almost every thread about under-represented cars turns into nothing but a wish-list demanding for this and that car.

Yes, we do all have a voice. However, we also have something far more powerful than that; money. Let yourself be heard through your wallet.

For myself, I will no longer purchase any car related DLC until RUF or Porsche is included. And as for GT6, I will not blindly purchase the next instalment of the series until I have researched its complete content. If PD does not provide the content I want, I'll find another product that does.

Now, I'll get off the soap box and post a pretty picture to dream about taking around the Ring.

Here's tech-art aswell

The problem with the Tech-Art is that they're an after-market tuner (as far as I know) whereas RUF purchases vin-less bodies-in-white and puts their own interiors, engines etc. into the cars. Granted they also do After-market tuning, but because they essentially make their own cars with their own VIN numbers, it allows them to hold the license to their products in a way that Tech-Art cannot.

Basically, in order to license Tech-Art, you need Porsche's agreement, as it's a Porsche car with a Porsche VIN. RUF is recognized as an independent auto manufacturer. Saleen was in a similar situation and that's why a Saleen Mustang was featured in the original Transformers Movie. Roush, which is a Tuner like Tech-Art, wouldn't have been granted the same privilege for it's cars.

Politics Everybody!

Roush, which is a Tuner, wouldn't have been granted the same privilege for it's cars.

I believe it was Ford that didn't want their vehicles depicted as the villains in the movie, so they had to use a Saleen.

There are more RUFs that were posted in the DLC wishlist thread. Heres more of them below my comment.

RUF RGT8 '12

LOVE THE RGT8. As for the RXL, I didn't think that the Panamera could get any uglier; I guess I was wrong.

hmm just noticed the 8, 4.5L V8, interesting.

Wow nice picture's I love those cars, sadly I doubt very much they will ever appear in GT5. I was dissapointed on day 1 as I searched through the premium dealership hoping to see porsche (EA Bastards) or at least to find a premium RUF dealer and was astonished that it was'nt. I thought maybe it would happen with dlc but that dream went out the window long ago. Good luck with the petition to get PD to listen I've given up hope and moved on to forza they have the RT12S, RT12R and RGT8 and now they have sorted out the problem with EA there will be a Porsche dlc in may, 30 cars! granted for $19.99 but we are talking about 30 porsche cars here.

I hope PD can be so generous to give us a unique RUF DLC that would give me some reason to wipe the dust off my GT5 case.

BTW the RUF CTR3 is not a RUF design it is the same body that Porsche made. The Porsche Carrera GT.

I think at the very least, they should include a RUF 993 (from older Gran Turismo games. A lot of the newer RUF cars are too NeedforSpeed for my liking. That is, odd colour combos and massive wings etc.

One thing RUF don't have that porsche do, are the early 70's porsches.
I'd like to see some older cars pre '73 (911 ST for instance, is one of the best looking porsches ever, and even a 2.8RS for instance pictured below).

I'd also LOVE to have a 914-6. The original Porsche boxter.

TBH I'd much rather they include ALOT more historic cars in the game. I curse everytime I see a Renault Megan 2.0 for instance. WTF is that in this game!!!!

Good point on the Porsches! But don't blame the poor Renault. It may not be important for you, but it is for the guys on Europe, specialy the French.

Some guys don't know how cool and fantastic a Maloo is, but the Australians sure know :) More = better.

And yes... Porsche 914. I have a fetish for those underrated Porsches. 914, 924, 944, 968... all beauties!

Now that's just funny right there.

Slash, when you get your GTO Judge and I get a RGT8 we'll do a couple laps. You can pick the track. :)

Whoa whoa whoa! Keep it fair, now!

Pontiac= GM. GM= Chevrolet. Chevrolet= Corvette ZR1.

Now, you may race each other properly. :)

Back on topic, RUF needs a health dealership by GT6 otherwise......otherwise.....:nervous: 👎:grumpy:

A ZR-1 would race a CTR3... Against the RGT8 I would put something like a mid-rank Vette. A Grand Sport perhaps?

But thats exactly my point though. The renault megan 2.0 might be a nice car, but its not a sports car. So why do they feature it in a game such as Gran Turismo? Its pointless. Same with the Honda odyssey van. The Citroën Xantia 3.0i also comes to mind.

Sorry for the digression.

The problem is not having the megane in the game... but the Megane they choose to put in....
If it was this one on the other hand

No worries man! 👍 I see your point. I just don't agree with you because I love the aspect of having everyday, common cars in GT... it always been like that.

But, again... I see your point. Those who just look for the racing aspect, it's kinda annoying to have those slow cars.

I think it's a matter of taste. I enjoy a lot more driving "normal" cars, or regular sports cars... My LMP or Cup cars are collecting dust... :scared:

Maybe that's why when I'm on PC, I enjoy a lot more GT Legends than GTR2 for example. I love how GTL cars look like road cars, just a bit tuned for racing and GTR2 cars are full tuned beasts...

Fair enough diegorborges. Its definitely a matter of personal tastes. :)
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE GT Legends. I wish there would be more historic racing cars like the Escorts and the lighter weight cars.

If GT5 had a premium classic Mini, the old Ford Escort, Ford Capri and Lotus Cortina... with RM options... it would be wonderland.

GT (or Forza for that matter) is a game which intends to bring a wide variety of cars, from humdrum everyday cars to rare exotics, a virtual car encyclopedia if you will (largely unfinished though).
So being a sportscar or not, isn't (and never has been) a reason to include it or not.
There are a lot of cars in GT5 which can never be called a sportscar but offer a lot of fun nevertheless, what's more, you can extract more performance out of unlikely machinery using the ingame tuning options, making them more suitable for racing purposes or making them more like a sportscar or high-performance version.

YES GT is like that a car encyclopedia all cars all versions forza never has it and will never have it BUT forza does something smart , T10 puts in the games lots of cars but only their best version not all, maybe thats the problem after all.
