Run out of gas?

Well I'm doing the nurburing 24hr right now as I type on the sidekick,

Well lets just say 3hrs in bob decided he wanted to toast mashmallows on his burning tires for another 12 miles after he lights his lamp 2 secs after the pits lol.

i run out of gas right at the start of a lap 200 and something in Nurburgring 24 hr

on a funny story, once an ai Cizeta V16T missed the pits on Nurburgring and it ran out of gas just before the first straight and had to go the rest of the lap

i was too lazy to pit & refuel on the la mans2 24hour ran out of fuel on the stright

went from 40 seconds in first to 5:32 seconds behind in 5th & that was before i pitted 6:23 seconds after pitting

I never ran out of gas. (YET) I did the nurburgring 24hr race, well bob did. He used my protomotors spirra v8 with a wing and R1 tires, he hasnt crashed, went in the dirt, burnt the tires blood red, or ran out of fuel. I had to monitor bob to make sure he didnt lol. I hope they do add a save game prompt option in GT5. Not everyone can stay up 24hours or watch an 8hour race from bob in 1 day. Also this should be added if we feel like doing a little bit of the 24hour race a day.

I converted my car to Bio-Diesel and I just bring some extra jugs of cooking oil on board.

In fairness to Bob, he will attempt to pit for tyres and/or fuel when required. The problem is: at the Ring, pit lane is near the end of a very high speed straight. Therefore, if the tyres have gone away, Bob may skid past the entrance of pit lane, bash the armco for a while, then give up & continue the next lap. Chances are, he will make the pit lane entrance next time around, (slow him right down if you are there to moniter this).
Luckily the AI have a similar problem, so things tend to balance out.

Ive skidded past the pit stop only to run out of gasoline 5 turns later
