The second vehicle I ever owned and the first motorcycle that had my name on the title has been sitting in a garden in London since 2008. It had no cover over it and hasn't been started for 8 years.

My plan for the future is to restore this bike to working order. Free time, finances and ease of repair will dictate whether it goes back to original condition or gets modded for a new style. Thee first job is to get it to my friends workshop where it can be stripped.

Some info about the ride: Yamaha RXS100 5 speed two-stroke from ~'89. Had about 40k on the clock before some bastards tried to steal it and destroyed the instruments in the process. Top speed was around 75mph (going down hill).

Dilemma: Over time the bike's documents have been misplaced and so have the keys. The keys aren't a big issue the ignition barrel and the fuel cap can be replaced. The documents, I'm hoping, can be sent for from the DVLA as I think I might still have the SORN notice somewhere around, I'll have to look into that.

Needs a lot of TLC and a good clean. Here are the pics I took today -

It really looks worse than it is, providing the engine turns over, which it should after some attention. There's surface rust on most of the components which can be dealt with easily enough and providing all the major components are still functional there isn't much that needs to be bought other than little things like cables and gaskets.

As the rebuild goes along I'll post updates here and add new pics as and when I take them.
