S-5 Test Help

Ok, i've got all gold in the Tests except this one. Can anyone help me as the Car Stutters from Gear 2-3 if i use Auto and if i use manual when i can it it takes too much time getting up to speed, and i need to make about 2 Seconds. And i'm going as fast as possible.

The key to this test is keeping the speed up as high as possible. The Trueno is not the most powerful vehicle, and it drifts easily. As a result, you should try to minimize drifts, cause they slow you down, and you must not brake too hard, as it takes long to get up to some speed. Try to balance the car gently and work with it, not against it. A little bit of drift is ok, cause it helps you through the corner, but don't let it do too much.
Oh, and you should go for manual and pull the 2nd gear up to 7500rpm. It will still need some time to rev in 3rd gear, but it's as high as it will go. And be gentle with 2nd gear, if you floor it too soon, you'll spin, or at least lose time.

In Automatic/Automated shifting, you can delay shifting by holding the Shift Up button (mine's on R1, but I can't recall the default setting). You will not shift out of that gear until you release the button. It's VERY nice to be able to pop from the rev limiter straight into the start of your powerband, instead of going from high RPM fourth gear into slow-and-low RPM fifth gear. I'm sure 2-3 is the same.

Heh, i did it. I got a 1,58.359.Thats 0.441 Faster.

Anyways i stuck on the Next one(Laguna Seca)i need to find 0.079 seconds from somewhere and cann't seem to find anywhere i can gain time.
Anyone got anytips on how to beat it.

Well, 0.079 missing seconds is not really undoable, you just gotta get everything right for one lap. You might gain a bit at the corkscrew. You got to take it as close to the curbs as possible. Actually, you have to cut both curbs vigorously with as much speed as possible. You don't actually follow the road, you just cut it diagonally. Don't overdo it though, as you being completely off the track means a failure.
So, don't brake too late and not too much for this tricky corner, and just cut through. It might take you some tries, but you'll gain a lot of time if you can get through this passage quickly.

Play the demo and watch were it does better than you and concentrate on
that turn. You don't have to beat the demo time to get gold but it is fun to do. I beat all the demo times in all the tests. (in all six leader board spots)
It's something to do after you have done everything else.
