The key to this test is keeping the speed up as high as possible. The Trueno is not the most powerful vehicle, and it drifts easily. As a result, you should try to minimize drifts, cause they slow you down, and you must not brake too hard, as it takes long to get up to some speed. Try to balance the car gently and work with it, not against it. A little bit of drift is ok, cause it helps you through the corner, but don't let it do too much.
Oh, and you should go for manual and pull the 2nd gear up to 7500rpm. It will still need some time to rev in 3rd gear, but it's as high as it will go. And be gentle with 2nd gear, if you floor it too soon, you'll spin, or at least lose time.
