I really wish we could export something close to RAW instead of jpegs, even png screenshots are converted to jpeg when exporting through the PS App. :grumpy:
In case you didn't know, pngs screenshots still stay png if you plug a USB storage device into your PS and copy them in there đź‘Ť
I don't know how the PS5 handles this, but the best quality I get from the PS5 PS4 is sharing to my GT7 profile and download the hi res image from gran-turismo.com. This is still a compressed jpg, but at least in native resolution that is set in the photo editor. Using the in game export function reduces the image size to 1920x1080, regardless of the scapes/photo editor quality settings and the jpeg compression dulls out the dynamic range and sharpness. Screenshots on PS4 look even worse.

Maybe there's a way to get an uncompressed png out of the PS4, too.

I recently took two Scapes photos, and I always export using copy to USB, you can check for yourself. PS5 RT on.

I mostly notice it only when I do my edits in post, it worsen the artifacts at the same time it lifts the realism. But those are good pics, don’t have time to do my "magic" on those to test, but thanks for the effort :D

Only had quality issues the first period of GT7’s release, I rarely share stuff anymore in-game so that would be a no-go for me.
