Love it. 6:43 is storming. I believe it was on road legal tires as well. I need to see a head2head with the heavyweight hybrids. Now.

Edit: This clearly demonstrates how quickly you can go without lots of power. This car has less power than any current Ferrari, Lamborghini, or Mclaren and is faster than anything. 530hp and 6:43 at the ring. Unbelievable and awesome. I've always held that *around* 500hp is ideal.

From the race car. Not sure why it's worth comparing to the other marquees.

Well, it's worth comparing to the Zonda R, because it's not street legal either.
The thing is, the SCG can be made road legal with two simple steps (change the tires, remove the wing).

635 hp is clearly ideal:P

The 2 main noticeable steps. It goes beyond that considering the car that set the lap was restricted to regulations that make it eligible for the GT3 class. That's not road production.

And if the SCG was black flagged for being too loud on the race track, how does it plan on meeting sound requirements for a street legal car?
From what I understand, there is no distinction between the race car and the road car.
Besides perhaps, a giant spoiler, a complete frame throughout it, & whatever setup the race car is set up to meet class regulations.

In theory, the road car could go even faster, but that's not what set the record, so it remains to be seen.

Glickenhaus drove it to the track, they changed the tires, added the wing and adjusted the suspension.
He then drove back in it, on the road, that's why it had the NYC numberplate on the rear.
What you see above is its interior, yes, but not a special version or anything.

I don't think you're understanding that that is not going to be production spec for the road car.

The interior of the car setting the record has a full race cage to meet regulations. The road car does not. The race car that set the record was running under GT3-regulations, not in production form. I've already said in theory, the road car could go even faster, but comparing the time the car set under race-specific rules to other marque's road cars is somewhat pointless.

Sadly, the yellow SCG has crashed at the Nurb during a practice session for the 24 Hours of Nurburgring.

The other one is still up and running. I do hope they win or at least do really well!

No matter how many times I see a video like this, there is something just unsettling about hearing nothing but a screech followed by that loud crash.

Hate it for that team, Not sure they have too many spares for those cars so they are in for a very long weekend.

Keep a look out for the next creation...

Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus SCG003C Macchinaquattro
Video coming soon.

Still seems like a shameless copy of an Enzo to me, or at the very least there is lots of influence from its design. Also the logos are pretty much a copy of Ferrari's too.

I could make a more original logo in ms paint if I wanted to.

Doesn't bother me, its on purpose. All the SCG's have been inspired by famous Ferrari's and look very good. Heck the first one was based upon a 430 GT2 IIRC. The logo being similar is appropriate.
