Well... This initial order wasn't that many for a few reasons, the main one being my available funds. ;) However, lead time is fairly short now that the design is proven to work, etc. If there is a wait, it won't be long.

Eeek! I fear your website will start to creak with everyone constantly checking for availability!

Like everyone else I'm hoping to get in that first batch as my csr shifter feels pretty pants now I've for my hands on the th8! :-P

Sounds like a good decision around intl shipping if it is a higher than typical cost unit so I'm happy to pay that bit more if it ensures it arrives safely.

Cheers

haha you may be right there... I'll have to keep an eye on my traffic. However, I really have only talked about this in this thread and in private on another site. Once it's officially launched, I will probably have my hands full... :/ That's ok with me!

We are probably gonna crash your site! Hope you do well with this product.Looking forward to placing an order soon. Also looking to see what else you've got up your sleeve !

One thing to note... and this hasn't been tested since I don't have a CSW to try it on...

The CSW has two shifter inputs, one for sequential and one for standard. This presents an odd scenario in which you may need to physically move the adapter from one connection to the other on the wheel. The adapter will switch modes on it's own based upon the shifter you have connected to it, but I don't know if the CSW can use both modes on ONE of it's ports alone... Kind of an odd move on their part, but I understand the thinking.

Someone will be testing this for me soon enough, just wanted to make you guys aware.

I was thinking about this also and figured I would get two adapters. Do you think it will be a problem connecting a SFA1 to each input on the CSW? I would be more than willing to test this out! :D

It shouldn't make a difference. The wheel isn't supplying power to the adapters so it doesn't stress the wheel out. A cheaper solution would be to just have two cables plugged into the wheel and switch the cables when necessary. Most people probably only have one of the necessary cables though... I plan on making some of the RJ12 to PS2 cables and at some point offer those along with the adapter at a minimal extra cost.

Shoot me a PM, we can talk about this testing, if that's what you'd like to do. :)

Looks like a nice product. 👍
P.S. my interfaceone's card has been collecting dust lately and if someone is really wants it - PM me.

Or just get two adapter and shifter ;)

Very very good job !!
When do you think approximately commercialize the interface

Tomorrow is the goal. :) It's looks ready now, but I have to be 100% certain. Tonight I am doing some final tests. I still have to assemble and test each adapter as well.

The adapter bootloader is complete and tested now. This will allow easy firmware updates by users. Here is an overview of how that works:

1. Launch firmware updater.
2. Hold reset button on adapter and connect to PC, release button..
3. Load firmware in program.
4. Write firmware to device.
5. Disconnect and use.

That process is only necessary to apply new updates that are released. The adapter is usable with the TH8RS "out of the box."

I love making stuff! It's even better when other people get to enjoy the things I make. :)

Tanks for MP
order, pay, I no longer have to wait for that delivery in France, you know how long it takes for a shipment to France

Done and ordered.

Like many I got tired of waiting for the CSS. Whenever it does make the light of day I may still get it but I think the TH8RS will suffice just fine given all the positive feedback I've read on it.

The timing of this board was perfect, priced fairly and pushed me to take the plunge on the TH8 which I scored for a very good price online from a Canadian computer shop.

Can't wait to get both

Ordered and absolutely can't wait to get my hand on this!

thanks again for your ingenuity and time spent designing/building this. No small feat!

Cheers!

👍👍👍

:)

The adapter is now available directly on my website.

Now to prepare a support page with an area for future firmware downloads I reckon?

Great stuff, Mr Basher. Can't wait to see my SFA1 here, finally being able to use my shifter in GT5 again. :)

Yep! Working on that this weekend. However, the SFA1 adapters I sent out won't need updates when you get them. (At least, I haven't found any new bugs that would warrant releasing a new firmware...) I do hope to add some different shifters to the firmware soon, just waiting for info on those.

I'd like to thank everyone here that ordered! Thanks to you and my friends over at gonebrokeracing I had my work cut our for me after I got home from my "real job" last night! Here are the results of the first day... Yowza!
