Oh, don't worry, I do like this one much better, and I'm pretty sure everyone else will agree. You made Grand Valley pictures interesting, a difficult task.
Number 1 is a simple, straightforward, good pic. It reminds me of what everyone used to do, before they all discovered fancy blurs and started experimenting with gradients and such. I thought that Grand Valley was a sunny track, though. The sky in this pic looks cloudy; it could be a result of your high contrast. That pattern in the fence is odd, it looks a little like a plaid shirt with its crosshatches. It looks like the Z is moving at a pretty good clip; I can almost hear the quiet, smooth, high pitched wail of the exhaust in my head.
The background blur in #2 is a good example of distant things being blurrier than close objects. I thought you forgot to blur the 100M sign until I realized it was really actually close to the camera. I didn't know Grand Valley's asphalt had so much red and green in it, either.
The 3rd picture is my favorite here. I like the yellow tint, that goes well with the car's color, obviously. I like the way the exhaust tips and spoiler look, they just look neat to me. I really love the effect with the buildings in the background. You must have had a super low shutter speed. Even thouhg this is a monochromatic photo it still has a great contrast to it, with the bright sky and dark shadow under the car.
I thought the Z was staying the night in Nurburg when I saw #4. it almost fooled me. I like all the greenery in this pic, it makes me feel like I'm in the Smoky Mountains, Gatlinburg specifically. I like that place, they have a lot of nice restaurants and it's a fun place to drive. Back on topic, I don't like the heavy blur. It's kind of like the HSC pics, though not anywhere near as bad. I can see that you added it, I think just around the edge of the car. Were you going for a misty mountain look?
The last picture is a perfect "That's all Folks!" type of picture. The Z is like "All right, I'm wore out from all this posing, I'm goin' home." Again, you did a great job with the tint, the contrast, the blur on the far hill, just the whole thing in general.
It feels good to be good, doesn't it?
