As you say the content just need to be activated but it seem they are not ready because they scheduled the maintenance on the 31 as @Shirrako told us.

May 31st is update to GT5, not GT6.

Next episode is the Senna fail , because there is no one announce for any maintenance which mean no update today.

We know this, the content has been added. The special event section was there before the latest hotfix and contained the same trailer that PD published on Youtube.
Is this a matter of activation via a hotfix or have PD left out some content that will require another maintenance at a full update to 1.08?
Who knows.

Hang on, if the consensus is that the "NEW" tag refers to the hidden Senna dealership, and considering the 1.07 update included the Senna trailer (until it was hidden via a hotfix), would it not be the case that the Senna content would only need to be made "active" via another hotfix? Would there need to be maintenance if the content is already included and it was being unlocked today?

If that's the case, that would explain why there's been no scheduled maintenance, but at the same time, it does not eliminate the possibility of the DLC being made available.

Edit: just realised it seems like about 1 million people have posted this point whilst I was busy writing this!
