Lamborghini Super Trofeo

Event #3, at
Spa Francorchamps
Post Race Report

An action packed night of racing to everyone who made it to the grid. We did not complete a full 16 car field, but we did have a good turn out of 14 drivers, some of which were joining us for their first race of the series: @Rob Brown, @TEX36, @PrivateSmiles, @Roman_GT23.
While I cannot speak for everyone and their specific battles, I had some great exchanges with @Moby45 in both races, and @Roman_GT23, @Whitey093, and @DesertPenguin in race 2. Moby45 was a constant presence in my mirrors at all times. Whitey and DesertPenguin put up some great defensive racing against advances from both Roman and myself, and Roman and I had a great 2 lap battle for 2nd place toward the end of race 2, and very clean. I had to try twice before I executed the pass. Great race Roman.
Race 2 had quite the pile up, but simply came down to an accident.

2 incidents were filed post race, but after review from myself and 2 volunteer peers, both incidents were determined as incidental contact. Thank you to that driver for taking the time to file a report.

I did witness a few other incidents that could be considered reviewable. Since it is our series policy that we are peer to peer governed, only incidents that are reported will be formally reviewed. If you feel that an incident is worth a review, please look at the replay and submit an Incident Report as stated in section 4 of the first post by Monday 8pm est.

Congratulations to our Event #3 Class Winners:
PRO: @llNovall /II-NOVA-II
PRO AM: @TEX36/ TEX36

Race 1 Winner: @Roman_GT23
Race 2 Winner: @Mark Elman

Next up: Lago Maggiore GP on Friday, April 3rd.
Event details page will be posted this week for anyone looking to get a head start on some practice. Early confirmations for next event are now open and being accepted. The Confirmation Reminder post will be out the week before our next race night on:
Event #4 on Friday, April 3rd.

On a business side of things, for all remaining races, we will be running the series on a "Lap Count" rather than a timed race. I did not like that GT Sport cut the race a lap short for those drivers on the lead lap. The 1st post will be updated to reflect the change.

Again, great racing everyone, and thank you to all who made it on the grid. Hope to see another strong field at Lago Maggiore in a few weeks.

That pile up in race 2 was entirely my fault. I ran wide entering Pouhon, and in an effort to leave room for the car coming up behind me entering the second left-hander, I ran wide again, clipping the green astro turf and spinning out. Silly stuff on my part and spent the rest of the race absolutely kicking myself. Sorry to anyone I may have taken out.

That aside, this is an awesome series and I'm really looking forward to the next round! I'll definitely be there on April 3rd.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, fellas!

No worries man. I saw the replay, and that outer edge grabbed your outside rear wheel and sent you spinning. Once to that point, you were along for the ride. I'll get you on the list as confirmed for next Event. Great racing with you and glad to have you with us.

I had a lot of fun even though this car is a challenge, especially with the dual shock. Fortunately I caught a lot of lucky breaks and avoided calamity just barely a few times and was able to to grab a strong mid pack finish. Was totally expecting to run in the bottom third of the group considering the talent level in this series.

Hopefully I'll be back behind the wheel again for Lago Maggiore. This is a great series and although the car is a bit of a handful it is rewarding when things go well.

I forgot to mention that point in the post event report, but hats off to you for a very strong showing on the DS4. Impressive that you were able to transition like that and especially with this car. I'd be useless on a controller. Nice job, and I agree that while this car is a challenge it does create some satisfaction when a good result is secured. Looking forward to racing you at the Lake in a few weeks.

Btw, I'm taking this post as your confirmation unless you correct otherwise. Should be another good Event. Lago Maggiore GP always presents great racing.

Got ya noted sir. Thanks and good pace last night.
Thanks, but too many mistakes - mostly Grass & Traction errors. Managed a 2:04.??, just couldn’t maintain clean laps.

I saw that, was rooting for you when I saw you up towards the front...those grass and painted run-offs are killer. Got me in the first race at 130r on the final lap.

Yes sir, 100%. Got you on the roster, and your entry is confirmed for next Event on April 3rd. Send me that livery you would like and I'll render to the series standard for you. Very glad to have you for this series as well.
