What do you plan on getting? Depending on your budget, I can highly recommend the DFGT :)

I also moved from DFP to DFGT when my DFP finally didn't do its job anymore some while back. It was also one of the shift-buttons that was broken (downshift twice instead of once).

The DFGT is basically the same, but slightly bigger in diameter and less thick. After some heavy duty in the meantime, the DFGT is starting to show its age again already though. First the braking pedal started to not disengage fully anymore - did some cleaning and it worked again. Now the accelerator sometimes starts flickering when fully engaged. Probably the potentiometers are close to giving up. Might stretch its life for a couple of months though.

I agree though that it might be the best value for money. Because it does the job pretty well for a while, and when it's broken, it's not that much of a deal as when a G27 or a T500 breaks.

Also, not only is it a good wheel, Logitech offer brilliant customer support. I know someone who had a broken DFGT with no warranty or receipt. He contacted Logitech and they gave him a new one for free, even though he had been inside it!

With 2.11 undoing the PP changes from 2.10, does that mean the Viper specs will be up to 572PP again?

I also just noticed, that I'll probably be starting at P5 this Sunday. I guess I'll be looking over my shoulder a lot... :nervous:

Yes, the OP specs are now correct again. 👍

Nice vids Rich 👍

Standings are updated, I just need to add the FL's from Sunday.
Someone please make a post so I can post the top of next page regarding this week's race(s)?

Round 7: Nurburgring Nordschleife - 5 Laps + 5 Laps
2/24/2013 Room open: 18:00 GMT/13:00EST - Race Start: 19:00 GMT/14:00 EST

Finale ●
The Finale is going to be something new to us, but I think should be really exciting and different.
Qualifying will be in order of points, fastest first. (to minimize incidents of slowest first) Staged starts every 10 seconds back through the field, each car will pull up to the starting line, (in order) and start at 10 second intervals.
1st at 10 seconds, 2nd at 20 seconds, 3rd at 30, etc. Like a stoplight.
An extra lap will be added to the finish so everyone can finish for certain.
2nd race is fastest first, and everybody has to use a different car.
You may use any car you like for either race, but you cannot use the same car for each race. (regardless of season cars used - this also allows one dropped car from the season if you desire)
Timed Race (rally style) - You do not have to finish first on the grid to win. Finishing 1st on the grid does not mean you've won the race either.
Both races will give equal points, the combined total will be divided by 2 for the score that round.

Which leaves the order:
01. The Outlaw
02. outlaw4rc
03. w-g-e
04. unrealanthony
05. snowgt
06. Dr_Watson
07. carracerptp
08. ealirendur
09. Scanny_Flick
10. CSLACR
11. Litchi
12. Wardez
13. MULE_9242
14. basse101
15. motoraza
16. LongbowX
17. maxking39

I'm currently running 7:07-7:13 in every car. :)

Is there a good afternoon/evening we can have a practice room?
I should be available most all week from 3PM EST onwards.(8PM GMT/UTC)

You open it, I'll try to show up. Believe me, I need every bit of practice just so I don't look like a newb.

I will say that when I made the Ford GT front-brake biased, the car became much easier to drive. Think I'll do the same for either the Italia or the SLS.

Interesting. I'm inside of 1 second with all 4 cars I'm considering for Sunday. Considering how different I got along with them on every other track, that's amazingly close.

Too much frustration from the GATE race, so I'm going to do the wise thing and skip the last event. Need to cool off.

I wonder how many might show up for a race at the Nurburgring, do we have a field tomorrow?

One thing I overlooked is timing, we'll need to run reverse order for the first race for timing to order the second race. Could potentially make it more interesting too though, idk. Assuming we have a field.

Planning to be there for the first half, currently. Wish I could do both, but it will run well over the hour combined, I assume.

I dont think I'll bother racing tomorrow. I'll probably end up being pretty faded by nights end and can't see myself being in the mood to wake up at 7 am to do the last minute grind to prepare  GL if you end up racing y'all!

In it's original format, about 1.5. (about 70 driving and a 15-20 car change warm up)

Of course if we have a small field and/or it works for others we could start an hour or two earlier, I'm available.

I'm in for the race tomorrow, despite my lack of practice. And my pedals will probably let me down on the unforgiving 'Ring. Oh well, I'll have fun while it lasts.

I also meant to do these earlier. But I will post some of the others tomorrow morning - I just have a few left to do.

Hooray for awesome pics. 👍

BTW, I now know how you felt when you were trailing me at Suzuka. My Italia was a roadblock through the twisties, and I pulled away from you on the straight. With what I experienced in GATE, I would've understood if you rammed me off course.

I don't really want others to bear the burden of my tendency to overcommit, but if it happens to help overall attendance (rather than hurt), I'm available earlier 👍

Awesome pic is awesome.

Had it not been for its complete inabilitity to pass a Ferrari (for at least one example), I probably would have actually picked the SLS there. Felt much gripper through the twisties, buuut... no passing. Nope, not happening (didn't for me in little practices, anyway).

Tbh, the bigger reason for stepping out is the Daytona 500. If you push it back, then I might hop back in. I forgot that this is more like a time trial, so the only obstacle is my newbie 'Ring skills.

I'm 99% sure later is worse for most though. :/

Ideally, the seperation would result in a field-wide shuffle over the course of the race. Only 2 seconds a lap per position is needed.
