So sorry guys, been on the phone with the ele tric company and it seems it could be working any minute, but please go ahead.
They have been saying that for a while now.

Internet is quite slow through the phone at my house so ill be back on when power is restored. :/

Bleh, misjudged the time. I didn't know it was so early.:ouch:

Then I have to change my status to part-time.

Would probably help if I actually turned my alarm on.

Oh well. at least it's just preseason.

Well, that was a weird race.

With only seven in the field, Tony and I immediately pulled away from everyone else. After two or three laps, I was able to settle into an okay rhythm, but by looking at the lap times, though I could take over the lead. That didn't quite work out like I wanted to. Got a little too sloppy at times, and on one lap, I thought there was something broken with my brake pedal, as the car's stopping distance suddenly doubled on me at consecutive corners. I hope that was just a one-time thing.

On the last lap, I overshot the first corner just a bit, which allowed Tony to build a small gap. I was behind him going into Parabolica, and on the exit, there was a Corvette at the worst possible spot for Tony. Pretty much cost him the race, so I don't consider this a win in my book.

Sorry guys, just swamped with work...hope to make it next race:ouch:

Screwed up my alarm, too. Should just have gone to sleep earlier...

Power is back on, internet was down for a while but all seems well with it now.
Unfortunate about the race, im sure we'll have a much stronger field and race next week at Spa though.

Grats on the win Rich, even if luck helped out. 👍

Just an observation, the vette shot off into the sand to get out of the way when the two of you were rounding the last turn. There was no contact that I could see from the vette and tony. Then for some reason, tony drove into the pits. Clearly you two could have had a decent battle down the stretch.

From my vantage point, Tony had to lift to avoid the Vette, and I didn't. Since it's a drag race to the finish, that pretty much made him a sitting duck.

I got in a few laps with the Lambo, ZR-1, and the LFA at Spa. First, I'm sure everyone would appreciate it if we properly define the track boundaries at Eau Rouge. With that, the scary bit is at the top, where it's easy for the rears to kick out, more so when the tires have some wear on them. For anyone that has driven Spa in a race car, the last sector is a different beast altogether.

As for times, I got both the Lambo and Corvette below the 2:30 mark. I can't do the same for the LFA, although I believe it's me more than anything else.

Standard OLR = Rape it.

I'll be on tonight and take a pic or two while I'm at it I guess. 👍

Just thought I'd ask, since I was being aggressive on the left curbing on entry. I found that really helped me get a smooth line up the hill, without the car stepping out.

Right now, I'm leaning toward the Lambo with mileage + no oil. It's not overly fast, but the gearing's right where I want it, and I'm more consistent with times. 29.1 was my best, with a 28 possible if I can nail Sector 2.

Edit:

Lambo:
39.324 | 1:10.721 | 38.500 = 2:28.545

Blanchimont is really tricky. It's bad enough that one small bobble will have your rears clip the right side on entry, but the exit, well, if you touch the outside, even with the wheel straight, this may happen:

I'm tuckered out atm, so I'll not be on tonight, but I'll point out that the Murcielago may prove advantageous at other tracks as well.

I found it to be kinda slow, and sluggish at Nurburgring and Laguna. However, the tall gears and engine layout limits wheelspin, and with 4/5 brake bias, it has a tendency to drift a little, which actually helps with the long, sweeping corners around Spa. To be honest, I'm only using the Lambo as a throwaway over the LFA.

Hey guys sorry I havent even practiced with you all . Unfortunately i have to drop out of this , I cant commit like how Id like to and it wont work out right now. Im sorry about this , hopefully I will be free in time for that gate or gt500 series. Sundays right now for me are just too busy juggling work and home . Sorry again guys .

Sorry to hear that Skeng, look forward to racing you again. 👍

I still have to pretty things up a bit but it's all functional right now.
Any one know off-hand how many sectors there are on nurb GP-D? 3 or 4? That way I can fix that one on the practice sheet.

I signed up as part-time but I may even make all races, really don't know.

The race in that video is a typical mess...

I'm going red, blue, yellow, green, orange, white, then beard.

I was going to use the ZR1 here (SPA) but the best I could get would would be around a 29.8, zero downforce in the car so I was stepping the tail out in all the high speed corners.

Yeah, that is something I thought wouldn't be that large of an issue at a track like Spa. I suppose with some more track time, I can squeeze a high 28 out of the Vette, but I'll probably stick to the Lambo.

Now you know what happens when you choose racing medium tires and tracks like high speed ring with 500hp unbalanced supercars.

Ahh well if you'd stuck around you would have found out that after a test session 1 car has been changed and 1 upgraded, but seeing as you could not even be arsed answering a PM you wouldn't know would you?

Anyway I'm not arguing here it’s not fair on the host.
