server down?

it's 12:30 pm eastern canada and there's a message saying that the server may be down for maintenance.
Anyone with same message?

Apparently, theres a new PS3 Firmware update (3.15). It is optional. I haven't downloaded it yet, but it may solve the problem.

Could be just a scheduled maintenence.

I came across this problem too, the link above explains it. Turns out the server went down for maintainance at 1600 GMT, and sod's law dictated that I tried to log on at about five minutes after the server went down...

Yeah, I'm fine with that too I'm not exactly convinced that I'm safe in any way at the moment..

I was hoping for a nice long day driving the tuned. I had a very promising day yesterday, and wanted to carry on the good work! Ah well, as long as we're all in the same boat.

I think it's a PSN update rather than an actual update to the game, so there shouldn't be any problems in that respect.

Has anyone else realized you can play this with out being connected to the internet. Once you are on track or paused on track, the game does not need the internet to run. Obviously if you are going to be posting some personal best times it could be risky - but my connection can be temperamental sometimes so i just leave it on all the time and leave it paused on track when I need a break.
