Not sure if it is good or bad, but the car remembered the miles - I just did not get to save the points and credits.

They better not reset user profiles. I am already on my way to using 2000 liters of fuel and lots of miles :)

My whole profile reset to my first day with the demo.. Lost my Corvette and all the credits I had. I had $500,000 credits and now I have $200,000 again.. Also all my driving missions, replays and all are gone too. Even though I saved those like a day ago smh. Crazy thing is when I turned my PS4 on this morning, it was all still there I don't know what that last maintenance did but it makes me not even want to progress on anymore until the final product cause I just lost a whole day of progress..

Just got on the network. Every time I go to the options menu the game crashes to desktop. Nice. Guess I'll just race a bit lol

Still can't connect to the servers. Was doing my daily challenge when it went down so idk if I got the progress or not. We'll see.

I'm doing the novice driving tests, online save keeps failing but at least the game is letting me continue playing.

Perhaps PD knew this would be a cluster - so they will just give everyone 1 million credits and the 8 cars when the game goes live.

It is the least they could do.

BTW, what single job would you NOT want on your resume if job hunting in the IT arena??

Infrastructure management & design for Polyphony Digital LOL

I know I wouldn't hire you :P

I got to Level 15 & C - C this afternoon, & I believed I already saved at some point during the afternoon. Now I was forced to quit after Servers went down when I tried to Load an Online item & Now It's Loaded again & In turn reset my statistics to the beginning of the day with No Milage given & The Reward car being dished out again... Hmmm. I hope when Servers are Live again my progress will be restored properly.

Yeah, this recent server issue bit me pretty hard too. Loaded back in, and lost over $600K and over 3000 mileage points! Need network support for just about everything, with no local save backup in case of server connection issue like this. I think I may be done with GT Sport... Indefinatly, if this is what I can come to expect from the full game. This is with servers coming back online, as they just gave me my last two days worth of Daily workout Cars, but still lost all my money, level, and mileage points. The thing is, I was connected to the server last night when I saved, and tuned everything off. I don't understand how Inlost a whole days worth of work?!

Well I'm getting a connection to the server could not be established. (NE-210003). They actually want me to pay money for this?

By the way, the online manual confirms no offline save. It's online save only. Get real PD.

This online save bit is awful. I don't care about what is lost in the demo, but if this is any indication of things to come there will be many unhappy people.

Yeah, online save only is what will keep me from purchasing this game. To loose a full days worth of work is beyond frustrating! I'm so glad I haven't pre-order it! And as for the error code, I was getting it for the last hour, before I was finally able to connect. Thing was, I could still load in at times while I was having the issue, and all my money and mileage points were there, then they were reset once it was able to connect to the server!

For the first time since GT5 prologue, they have a good basis, everything looks more or less polished. But the online focus and all its inconveniences will harm this game, it could have been a decent GT with the correct game design choices.

PD Is doing the online only saves for the sole purpose of protecting the integrity of the data for FIA endorsement.

Well, since a portion of what you acquire transfers over to the final product once released, it's kinda like losing progress in the actual game, don't you think? Lol This online only has left a bad taste in my mouth for sure.

Why? Who cares? The FIA cares about lap times from fictitious oval tracks?

The number of people who care about the FIA license rubbish can be counter one finger. Kaz and pick which one. Here Kaz, pick this one.

I can understand that, but there needs to be a way to separate what should be saved locally, and what is uploaded and saved on there servers. Like, keep what cars you own, money, and points and such on a local backup, then keep FIA regulatory stuff to were it's only stored in the cloud?

And exactly what is this FIA important data?

Any body can keep a logbook and get an FIA license IRL - no cloud save needed.

I think the final product will be exactly what you stated, everyone needs to realize that this is a BETA! We are going through these issues so that we can hopefully have a good day one release with zero to few issues! I for one am hopeful!

They are not tracking lap times, but the “important data” is how you drive, they want the good competitive drivers to race other like minded racers and keep the idiots that just want to cause chaos in a race away. I couldn’t care less about a license either, but I do want to race a good clean race with other people that want the same thing.

And this is so important the FIA has to endorse it and ALL the offline buyers of GTS should be subject to this?

I am on my way to Game Stop to get a refund on my fully paid up pre-order.

PD have lost a 20 year customer.

Kaz has lost the plot.

I did not know that.
