I voted option #3. As long as it's done with 2 consenting adults. Now when it comes to minors having sex, hmmmmm, that's a bit more of a touchy subject. The ramifications get a little more deeper.

No one has mentioned what might come out nine months later? Or is this 100% effective contraception sex only?

Leaving abortion out for now, not everyone can afford to, or are capable of raising children.

I know I'm not able to afford raising a child, I'm only 17. So I use condoms and my girlfriend is on birth control. I think if you're responsible enough to have sex, either take measures to protect against pregnancy or deal with it (let's not open the can of worms that is abortion, there's another thread for that)

What's wrong with abortion?

It just got ultra-hedonist up in here.
What's wrong with abortion?

You're really going there? Come on, even if you don't have a problem with it you know why the pro-life side does.

I'm simply pointing out there can be consequences or joys lasting much longer then the act itself. Sex is desirable for a reason.

Not gonna touch the big A :P

Voted for "Sex is natural and good" option because it is just a natural thing that have been done for their carnal pleasure or a means of leaving their posterity to the later generation, in Heian period in Japan, when sexual intercourse was considered to be a popular thing as a way of showing adoration(even if it's one-sided) or an act for pastime, there was no restriction or teeter of doing that act with a certain woman after turning in a bed together...

No matter how the populace would react to the obscenity of that act I think it's okay to do that if both men and women have no disturbance in doing it at night.

I voted number 3 " Sex is natural, sex is good " , because that's what it is .

It's not any of my business.

I just think what it is. Am I going around telling people that? No. Unless they ask me personally what I think about what they are doing.

Don't know why you're getting wound up on this, I'm not trying to be an ass.:)

I'm not getting wound up - but then nor am I placing myself in a position of judgment over what two (or more) adults do with their own bodies...

If someone wants to trade sex for something else, that's their business. Possibly the oldest kind of business too.

No one has mentioned what might come out nine months later?

That's because we're talking about sex, not procreative sex.

Sex doesn't lead to conception. Only one kind of sex leads to conception - heterosexual, unprotected, vaginal intercourse during a known one eighth of the female's reproductive cycle. No other kind of sex leads to conception.

If you're an adult, you have the right to use you own body as you see fit and the responsibility of your actions. This means you can have whatever kind of sex you want - providing the other adult(s) agree - and the consequences of it are your responsibility. One of those possible consequences is conception - others include specific types of cancer and sexually transmitted infections. If you don't want those consequences, it's your responsibility to ensure it doesn't happen.

And terminators quotes would also have been requoted by me. Funny 👍

While I vote "Sex is natural, sex is good" I do agree with Famine in the "I don't care" option bit.

I mean, as long as both parties(common agreement and mental maturity) are agreed in what they do, they can do whatever they want, at the time they want, wherever they want. But at the cost of not affecting other people(i.e. unnecessary exhibitionism and stuff).

Besides, one night stands and casual encounters happens all the time, so I don't see where rules applies in that kind of situations.

I fail to see the difference between "Sex is natural, sex is good" and your "I don't care". "I don't care about sex" pushed to the limit would make you apathetic to the topic, which I believe is not healthy.

My vote wouldn't go to any of the options available.

Would also like the know what you mean with this.

On prostitution I do support that people are free to do what they want.
Abuse exists in prostitution, people trade leading to forced prostitution, pressure on weak members of society, etc... it is one aspect that I really do not like about prostitution. Recently there was a documentary on French television concerning "Chinese walkers". They are elegant ladies of over 40 years old, but are working in prostitution since they see it as the only way out, even if they seem "independent" and not "forced", I found their story quite sad.

Prostitution is simply the exchange of sex for benefit. Forcing others to sell sex for your benefit - pimping - is not a problem of prostitution but a problem of abuse of rights. Effectively, it's slavery...

I've been married for 7 years. What is this "sex" of which you all speak?

If you got married in Luxembourg or France you would have seen a doctor who would explain it to you before you got married.

Actually they also explain to you about illnesses and compatibility of the partners for reproduction. This does show the mainstream culture in the society.

Words cannot describe how much I'm hoping this is a joke.

Reproduction? Is THAT how it's done? My wife just told me we were wrestling and 9 months later my daughter arrived. I wondered how it happened!

You either have kids, something's wrong, or you're just trying to scare the single people in here.

I say that, but I don't mean it. Actually I know several people who I would describe as "asexual". See Sheldon on Big Bang Theory for reference. It's a very strange thing, but I'm convinced that these people really aren't interested in sex of any kinds.

How about this woman?

I'm not judging them, I'm just judging the idea.

Still, I chuckled when I read sex for currency.👍

Haha, great thread.

I for one would take your poll one step further and add 'Sex is the meaning of life'. Because I truly believe that to be the case; without it, there would be no life. :)
