A couple more points:

- Get rid of the centering spring on the PS3, or at least make it optional or adjustable. A centering spring is of course totally unrealistic and works against you much of the time.

- Add an option to skip the intro sequence. It's annoying to see and hear it for the umpteenth time.

Fix the physics, slipping and sliding should never be faster than grip driving or better yet put in rally stages.

Fix the sound drop outs that I'm experiencing (PS3)

Occasionally the sound will completely cut out for roughly 1sec - this only happens on track, mostly when racing, although it has happened on the grid before race start as well.

I had a strange sound bug today, the car just got stuck at idle pitch for the whole race, I did two corners and had to start again. How do you know when to change gears without engine note?

Fix the AWEFUL physics, this isn't Ridge Racer and I don't think all the teams involved in FIA GT1 & GT3 are exactly keen on their cars being presented as uncontrollable pigs to the public.

What version you playing?

Definatly need pitting. tire wear, make the endurance races longer, with forced pits etc.. perhaps.. i don't know.. like a REAL race perhaps?

I want to add to my wishlist, but I know it wouldn't be in the first game patch...but..

  • There are FIA GT3/GT1 class cars, but why not add some F1 cars to the mix? not the new ones but the "oldies" or in laymans terms: The turbocharged V12 era.

1000+HP F1 Cars + SHIFT 2's helmet cam =

I wonder what the licensing fees are for the old generation F1 cars

You can skip it, on the PS3 at least, after the SMS logo disappears.

My wishlist:

- Lag needs to go... I hope it really was the real Ian Bell who said they re working on this!
- I hate the magnetic effect in collisions: If you collide with an AI car while you re side to side, the cars seems to become magnetic and the other car drags you with him until you countersteer way harder than you would do in real life. Same with barriers. That is totally stupid and frustrating imho.
- Tuning option in the race start menu, why they didnt think of that is beyond me. In a league you effectively cant tune your car cause you can only change the tuning before the first race. Thats just inacceptable.
- Numbers in the livery editor and removal of the scale limitation - very annoying that you have to make a stripe from 2 parts everytime because it cant be scaled as long as your car
- fix the freezing issues of course... my heart almost stopped when I finally made it to 3rd place in the Modern B invitation with that horrible, horrible POS Corvette and the game had a 2 second hiccup!

Another Idea I d have for DLC: Classic liveries to go with the legends car pack. I d love to put the Gulf paintscheme on my Ford GT! :dopey:

I agree about the thing I bolded. It seems as though if you turn into a car that is on the inside of you, instead of spinning around like in real life, you both spear off in whatever direction you were headed. Contrary to this, if the AI turn in on you, then they clean out your front end and you end up spinning. Its like their cars are some immovable mass and yours is made of paper.

please make them do something with DRIFT PHYSICS cause they are undriftable with steering wheels !!!!!!!!

if someone has a good setting for wheel please send to my email , thank you

Im having the same problems with the slide, some cars are just uncontrollable when you try to adjust after corners. Im also having problems with the AI cars being glued to the track and my cars flying off from the slightest nugde. Also is it just me or are the class matching systems for races a bit 'meh', im using a supra for the retro races and its PI is 999 so I should be matched with C class but i had a few B classes in a race with me a simply couldnt keep up during a race I had to quit and unmodify it so i could do the race.

... and you don't get GT1 until you've completed GT3.
Imo all driving should go like you don't get to the next set of races till you've won the previous set, completely linear

That would extend the life of career mode so much 👍

And why would you want to do that?
Why do you want to force people to play the game only one way?
Besides you are free to play the career mode "completely linear" as you say. Why does it bother you how others play the game?

Someone may not like drift mode or slower cars. Why should he be forced to complete drift mode?

And why the length of a career mode is more important than giving players choices and having fun with minimum frustration?

I really can't understand why some people want to have games with minimum choices (and also why some other people are so obsessed with acquiring 'trophies' instead of just having fun!)

Why so defensive, Vroom? :) I did say imo, and that means I could be wrong

Well, sorry if I was harsh. :)

While this is your opinion I don't think you explained why the change you are suggesting will make the game more entertaining for the majority of players. Besides if someone wants to play the game completely linear he is free to. Assuming of course the game is linear in the first place, which in my opinion it isn't because it is designed so that anyone can find his favorite mode and have fun with minimum fuss. No need to force a 'completist' style of gameplay to everyone!

So in my opinion the change you are suggesting wouldn't make the game better, longer or more entertaining for anyone and instead it would make the game limiting and frustrating for the vast majority of Shift 2 players. So I think you are wrong and that you haven't thought enough your suggestion. I am very glad the developers of Shift 2 encourage free-style gameplay instead of forcing a linear structure. 👍

My very simple wish for a future update of the game would be to be able to turn off replay music without turning off menu music.

I don't think that it will be implemented though (it was the same with Shift 1) but it's such a small detail I really don't mind that much. I will just turn off music completely when I am sick of hearing it... :sly:

With the 1.01 patch out now, I vote to rename this topic "Shift 2 Patch Wishlist" or something like that.
