I tried this settings. The average lap times dropped to 3:31.000, still can`t match your times with or without aids i get the same times. I believe iam driving the track with wrong lines there is no other explanation :/

Maybe try SRF. If not, 3:31 laps will still win the race probably

Like Stig Farmer said, Skid Recovery Force. And what it does is it helps your tires stick to the road better, allowing you to be at higher speed in corners, especially high speed corners. So it is very beneficial to lap time and tire life on La Sarthe.

Well iam still going to stick with the 3:31.000 since it it enough to win. After the Lan Party i will post the race results here. Thanks in advance 👍

The RA menu will let you play about with the various BB settings but also driver aidds

Traction control
Antilock brakes
and I think Skid reduction
it does torque split for 4 wheel drive cars

If the race gets a bit - dull - you can throw in some scenario.

Brake problem - Front calipers locking (Alter Brake Bias by 3 points at front)

Maybe

Brake Fade Rear - Reduce Rear brakes strength by 1 point.

Anti Lock controller failure - Reduce ABS to Zero
(If already at Zero give yourself a pint of Beer or a glass of wine for the ladies.)

Drive hard, but have fun.

So i can change the TC and the ABS during the race?

Well, for one, it will start to get boring with no competition whatsoever, and, a couple of pages back, we mentioned that you really don't feel any accomplishment after winning by over 100 laps

I guess I'm different. I just viewed all the endurance races as long time trials and continuously tried to best my own lap times.

I always viewed endurance races as a test of consistency. See how long I can go without mistakes at a high pace. It's a bit funner if you use a car like an lmp since its so difficult to be consistent. But that's just me :)

I begun Lemans 24Heures last week Wedneday doing about 3 stints on day. Well, weekend I did drive more. After I finished Sunday's drive I have done 184 laps, having lead of 9 laps over rivals Audi (can't remember which) and I have drove 12h 20 minutes and it's still dark. To add, 11 last hours it's been raining and track has been 100% wet atleast 10 and half hour.

My car is quite balanced Mazda 787B and I keep hitting constant 3min 55s laptimes within half second window. Rain tyres seem to last quite well, though front tyres won't warm up at all. When coming to have pitstop they are almost good as new. When entering pitstop, strategy will let me fill 93-94 litres fuel so I have to pit because fuel, not tyres.

Most painfull in my event has been lapping slower cars in dark, big water showers blinded with my own headlights at speed of 350-370 kph. Around 4 hours of driving I had collicion with backmarker and spun wildly and at there I noticed I haven't even mapped reverse gear for my Fanatec wheel. Car was stuck nose towards metal fence and it was really frustrating to let car iddle a little backwards and then pray all power of Satan to get car spun at correct direction. I remember that lap took 5 minutes...

Also noticed quite annoying bug what comes on returning suspended race. At one point I had my save game entering same time with two rivals at pitstop. At game entry window it showed 0% raining, 0% wet track I press enter return race button. Game load and got correct 100% rain and wet track for me, but I observed it was not same for AI cars! Rivals I did pitstop with, seemed to get dry racing slicks at illusional dry conditions. For several laps they drove 15-20 seconds faster laptimes than I did! Fortunately lifespan of racing slicks in dry was significantly shorter so they pit after few laps and got back into place they belong (5-10 seconds slower than me).

So if have little warning if you have tight race at end in rainy conditions and you have suspended race. Bug gives unfair handicap to ai by setting them temporary dry conditions which will come back to normal after next pitstop.

With this speed I will finish the race on this week.

The only thing I would add is that if you are one of those people who likes to use tires for all they're worth, and if you're in a comfortable enough position to do so, reduce your pace a little, so the tires will last even longer. I know this may seem overambiguous, but if you are in a situation where say you are in second place, 20 seconds behind the leader, tires almost that dreaded cherry red, this tactic would not only put you in first place, but it would give you a nice window for your pitstop.

Like I said, I pit because fuel, not tyres - in rain. :)
Front tyres are barely worn and rear tyres at worst 4/7 worn.

On dry I reconsider pitting when normal throttle and brake use and coasting on curves makes rear of the car more wild. Le Sarthe is so long track so if I have issues with handling at end of lap, I will pit.

At early stage of this event I'm driving I had change to drive almost hour on dry track. 787B had hard slicks at rear and medium slicks at front. I managed do decent and quicker laptimes than rivals and made my pitstop lap later than closest rivals. So I feel confident. I was not in rhythm at early of the race due not being playing GT5 this year. I managed 3:25 times with it.

Interesting... 4 out of 7...??

Way harder to explain from tyre icon rear tyres were worn bit more than half way, but not too much ;)

Anyway, I just finished Le Mans by doing 372 laps and from hour 1 to hour 16.5 it did rain 100%. Track was full wet from hour 2 to 17.5. Played whole event from dashboard view.

Fastest lap was 3.22:499.

What are good times for a fully tuned bentley. I got a 3.20 on racing soft tires

Is this with or without tire wear? With tire wear that is a strong time. 3:18 could be possible. And is it solo or is it during a race with drafting help?

I went online and we were practicing (no tire wear) and that was the time I got. I just expected it to be faster than that.

For online racing it is a very good time. Maybe a second or two left in it but that just comes down to practice.

Thank you. Also, is a 3:12 good for a fully tuned Minolta and 3:17 good for a fully tuned 908 HDi FAP. Both were online with no tire wear and racing soft tires.

The 88cv time is about normal, but that 908 is a really great time! Congratulations on a lap that fast 👍

I've been testing loads of LMP cars for endurance races, like 1 hour long races at La Sarthe.

I know that with my DFGT being gentle with power and turning I can hit around 3:13 in the actual LM24 A-Spec event,I didn't finish it,but I did 1 hour of running, doing laps from 3:11 to 3:16,this was with the speed 8,I can get around 10laps of tyre life,I can do 11 if I take it easy, with the Audi R8 '01 I can pop into
3:09 but my tyres can only last 8laps with the same technique, the Audi is running a similar setup to the Bentley too,but the Audi seems to have a much more aggressive power imput which hurts the rear tyres, this is why I use the Speed 8 for long races since it's fuel and tyre consumption is really good compared to other LMP cars, just lacks that straight line speed and acceleration by about 5-10mph down the longest straights compared to the other decent LMP cars, the R8 and Speed 8 I mentioned are fully tuned and driven on RS tyres. But you can still hold your own against the A.I in a GTR TC,I tried it for 1 hour and I had a minute lead by then, fuel is not that good on that car, only 9laps and front tyres are quite worn by then,I usually adjust Torque Split(4WD only) more to the rear when this happens using the RA menu,my GTR TC fastest time during this test was 3:28.xxx.

I'm just logged in to praise Shoe67 for the guide - although it is now out of a date in some regards about tires and times - it is very helpful to anyone who needs a big picture about the 24 hour race.

Le Mans is a great experience in the game. Anyone who have GT5 and likes racing a little, should do it, at least once. I've done twice (Peugeot 908 and Mazda 787b). And I'm looking for to do another one with the Jag.

I hope that in GT6 they bring more LMP1 cars (and "premiunize" the others). Seeing R18s in Forza 4 makes me feel envy. :ouch: As far as I concern, PD should do a better job with the WEC.
