hmmmm, I wonder if Amuse make a Superforte... unfortunately in GT it would be more of an Amuse Superhoover...

Note to people videoing GT5 in the future: record the replay and use up arrow to watch each car so we can see its name and then use x to toggle between outside and its cockpit.

Wow, this just gets better and better. And wow, the Mclaren F1 is in, I guess that one user that demanded it got what he wished for after all. The wait just got that much more hard. I'm willing to bet the Rolex 24 is the next big marketing venue for GT5 now.

And the arguement about the use of "Superleggera" was funny. Personally, I'm expecting Honda to produce a limited production run of its high performance HSV-10 Spec-R while Nissan makes a special edition GT-R Scuderia and then Lexus shocks the world with a special track ready version of its supercar called the LF-A RS :D

I don't think the rolex will be in, the Daytona 24 hr cars are a pile of crap.

I'm not necessarily saying the race will be in the game(though one would love for it to happen), I'm saying it could be the next race where GT will be marketed as its at another track that will be in the game(just like with the 24hours of Nurburg and the le mans 24 Hrs). Also, are you talking about the Daytona Prototypes when you say "pile of crap"? Nobody ever gives a good explanation as to why they "suck" other then because "Theres no manufacterers" and "They look stupid".

Didn't realise you meant it as publicity. Daytona Prototypes, in my opinion do suck.

Lets be honest they are ugly as sin and to call them a prototype is just a little cheeky in my opinion. The Rolex 24 hrs should be run to the ACOs rules, its the way it used to be and the only way the world will ever take notice of it again.

The Rolex 24 was never run under the ACO rules to begin with or at all, it was santioned by the FIA. Then it was under the SCCA, and then ownership problems caused it to go to the USRRC, which is now Grand-Am. Also, they went this route with the DPs to cut costs and promote closer racing. And I don't about you, but the fact that Dallara and Lola have even taken interest in building and racing their own DPs doesn't seem to indicate the world doesn't notice it.

wow, congratulations on doing exactly what he said everyone does. He asks why they suck, because all people do is say they look weird. And what do you do..."They suck, because they are ugly as sin." Awesome lol

Yeah Nascar run it, as well as AMA which they have tried to kill it seems. I love nascar but they don't seem to run other series so well.

I actually meant to say they are too slow as well, that was inline with the "to call them prototypes is a little cheeky".

They are far too slow to be the premier class at a big endurance event. ALMS cars would destroy them.

Doesn't NASCAR own all or part of the Grand Am series?

Yes, Nascar does own them. It was in 2008 they aquired the brand as before, they only finacially supported Grand-Am.

They are far too slow to be the premier class at a big endurance event.

Actually, they aren't as slow as you think. They've actually managed to do lap times much faster then the old SRP cars around Daytona. Also, couldn't the same be said about the cars competing in the Spa 24 hours and the Nurburing 24hr since they now only have GT cars instead of prototypes like they did before?

I just noticed abit of an error with the Motor trend impression of the GT5 demo regarding the playable cars:

Motor Trend
Toyota FT-86 Concept, ARTA Honda NSX JGTC, Tom’s Lexus SC430 JGTC, Amuse Ericsson Nissan 380RS Superleggera Z33, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, Ferrari 458, Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni, HKS Mitsubishi Lancer, Subaru WRX WRC, Suzuki Swift WRC, Ford Focus WRC, and Nissan GT-R SpecVon – four tracks (Fuji Speedway, Indianapolis 500 Road Course, Nurburgring Nordschleife, and a fictional Tokyo city streets track) were available for play in a terse ‘Event’ mode.”

The Suzuki rally car we've been seeing all along has been the SX4, not the Swift. Not very contributing but I just wanted to put that out there. Also, I dare someone to spot the run-on sentence and a misspelled word just for the hell of it.

Has anyone heard about the new Porsche 430 GT-R SS Superleggera?

Completely legal and original name!

I think it's Porsche 430 GT-R SS Superleggera Scuderia SV AMG Type-R V-Spec Hemi Novitec EdoCompetition

Now serious... no news? :indiff:

ok chillout not the end of the world if somthing has already been said

What's with the attitude? I was just trying to get everyone back on topic again. Though it is difficult because the topic has gone stale, there is no more information on this yet.

You see this is the problem with the internet that emoticons just can't replicate. I wasn't trying to tell you to shut up or anything, i was kind of laughing at you both in a light hearted manner. Has any of your friends ever been a bit slow to catch on to something and you sort of laugh at their minor stupidity? This is kind of like that.

Judging by your grammar you're relatively new to the forum though, so just a heads up, this sort of thing happens a lot here :)
