Should I remove the G29 'rubber bumper' with GT Eye mod?

Currently waiting for my GT Eye brake pedal mod to arrive. Went through the instructions and it says you can leave the rubber bumper on the G29 in if you choose.

Should I get rid of it? I'm inclined to say yes as I feel trail braking should be easier with the mod and a longer brake pedal, but curious to hear other people's experiences.

The problem with the G29 wheel is that is doesn't calibrate the brake, so if you take the bumper out you'll get a deadzone at the bottom of the travel. As in, pressing the brake about 3/4 of the way down will result in 100% braking.

Realistically the choices are to either keep the rubber bung (or similar), or replace it with a solid 12mm long stopper (plastic of wooden), or
fit a resistor.

I have been thinking about buying some other spring for my G29 for a very long time.

I find it so hard to dose the braking when the rubber is in.

But its so confusing with all these diferents springs and other options aviable.

Maybe the best is the Gteye leave the rubber in, but cut 1-2 mm of it ?

Ladies and Gentlemen!
This is the solution for this problem if you dont want to cut the original rubber:

A 2x2 LEGO brick, with some paper around it (to try avoid destroying your other components by the time), positioned on its side, slided into the spring tube.
And it's perfect! Literally, the brick with the paper "coat" stops your pedal just after you hit 100% in your G Hub calibration.
I didn't want to lose my warranty, so i had to figure out another method, because cutting of the rubber may lose my warranty.

If you have the money, buy the springs. IMO the stiffer springs gave me much better control of the braking power.
