Should I repurchase Shift 2?

I bought the game for release, for 450 DKR. I then sold it again for an almost new Crysis 2 (value of 380 DKR). Now, I just found it in a Danish online store for 180 DKR. But after seeing the popularity of this game seemingly increase, I'm considering buying it at the hilariously cheap price that I listed. The Limited Edition is 100 DKR more than standard, but I'm not willing to drop that to get 3 cars and a few events.

So, Shift 2 forum, should I? I sold it because I didn't really like it, but since I've had the nagging feeling that I didn't give it enough chances.

One of the best racing games I have played. IF you didnt give it a chance you missed out.

Yeah, I only had it for 2-3 weeks before I traded it... And Crysis 2 sucked too >.<

Yep, but it still feels like an ice rink though, but its more bearable to drive now.

Yea, the physics were terrible for the 1st month. I still remember the Modern A invitational with the McLaren F1 on nurburgring oversteering side to side, flip.

It has some great tracks. Overall a huge let down compared to gt5. Mostly due to the cars feel like they are floating. Feels more like sailing than driving.

I have znilch of an idea how much 100 Kronen are in real money but you should definitely invest it imho - those extra events are quite a few (around 40 or so) and they are awesome!

Also, in genereal: Yes, you really should. Its a hate/love affair this game, but its best moments are so glorious, its unparalleled. Also I think the whole immersion and handling is actually miles beyond Bland Turismo 5. If you got a wheel, that is.

I have znilch of an idea how much 100 Kronen are in real money but you should definitely invest it imho - those extra events are quite a few (around 40 or so) and they are awesome!

Nope, only DS3 =/ And 100 Kroner = 18-19 USD Or 15 Euro, seeing as you're from Stuttgart

Also I have to say I have only very limited experience with Shift2 with the DS3. I really cant drive anything but Ovals and drift with it, for anything else I always use my wheel.

I can beat your average wheel user on GT5 with my DS3. Is that an ok indicator? I don't know if it helps you define if it's ok though

And yeah it is a bit much, I'm also definitly leaning towards just standard edition, considering it's only 178 DKR, or about 20 Euroes.

Forget it, let it go. Playing Shift 2 with DS3 will not give you real experience. Sadly if you don't have a wheel when it's pointless Just mine humble opinion. I have G27 and i love it 👍 👍 but i love every racing game with that wheel

I play with a DS3 and have a lot of fun and have some top times in autolog on friends list and I have very fast friends, Romknight, Tribolik, Flx1981, Vaxxtx among others. It's worth the buy and with the DLC even more so.

Hehe, sure XD I also made up my mind, I'm buying the normal edition for 178 DKR (20-ish Euroes). But the store I buy games from is out of stock, so I won't order it until they have it re-stocked, which I don't know when will be.

^ The limited edition should be the same price. Both versions were released at the same price so if the place is charging extra for the limited edition call them out on it and make them give it to you for the lower price!

No, the place I buy from always sells games a certain % higher than what they buy them for, or so they claim. So the xtra price is EA's fault, but it makes sense, because of the extra events. Why would they even sell the standard edition if they cost the same? Everyone would buy Limited, in which case it wouldn't be limited anymore.
