Should the Old Firm join English Premiership?

The title again says it all....

should the old form leave Scotland to play against English opposition in the permiership?

there is no doubt that they have the talent to play against these teams...

whats your view..?

Celtic are capable of beating 14 english clubs in a row, a slight blip against ManU (who Celtic beat 4-0 perviously) and hold Arsenal to a 1-1 draw and out strip England in Eurpean competitions...

They are no doubt capable to compete, but its nice to have something of you're own without the British to make it respectable. For god's sake laddy...rent Braveheart. :irked: :mischievous: :D

yes, in an ideal world that would be great...but this is about business...so theres no place for sentiment

also, whats an Aussie in a dress acting out a non-history based hollywood script got to do with Scotland? thats always puzzled me..

it should never happen.. i think if they both go down there , the scottish league will obviously be a bit shallow and will feel empty. i know the league as a whole is not in great shape but why move the two best teams out of it and into the english league? they are SCOTTISH teams after all...

thanks for your view Jay.....are you English?...:) where are you from?

i think it will be bad for scotland, but look at it this way....in the past 18 years, its been either Ranger or Celtic who've won the Scottish title....

thats not dojng scottish footy any good now is it?..

sorry pal just got your reply. your right it isn't doing scottish football any good but send the best teams out of any league isn't the remedy. all you would do is end up with a league of less quality sides scrambling against each other for the title. ( no disrespect ) no they need to stay where they are.

what the problem with the scottish league is: eg. hibernian have a great young player ( lets say kenny millar ) playing for them. you always knew it would only be a matter of time before rangers and celtic or an english side would buy him. hibs cant compete with their money ..

but it's ruining young players because when these teams DO buy the kenny millars ... they sit on the bench :( thus wasting them , which will also affect the national team..

kenny millar would have been better off at hibs for a while to get as much match play as possible.. then move.. too many good young players have been "ruined" by big money teams i think...

what do u think?

All you have to do is chuck a france: By arsenal and bring in as many players as you like. Wait arsenal might be a bit expensive... Leeds, anyone? (Oh yeh go Newcastle)

why dont we rename the scottish premier the 'oil tycoons welcome' then you could have an open day where they can all pick their teams.. Then there will be a bit more money and more competition
