It should be a premium, but what can you do? Lol I guess I'll have my thirst of Speed quenched instead by the Red Bull X1.

Have Sony updated their own website again to state the Veyron is a premium? They updated it once to fix the F40. You'd expect them to make sure every car was correct if they had to edit it once.

Nope, it still say standard.

I don't understand why PD would model Bugatti Veyron to "GT4 Standard" for GT5. It just doesn't make sense. Therefore, it's Premium in my eyes until I see an image of it in-game that can confirm it is not up to the "GT5 Standard."

I'd expect it to be standard because you'll be disappointed if you believe it's premium. I want it to be so badly but fact is it isn't.

I pushed the yes.

but, like i said in the bugatti thread, we have just been exposed to purchasable cars. Perhaps the Veyron Super Sport will be in the game as a car you win and with premium details, that would make sense...

I won't be disappointed. It's a cool car, but I'm more interested in other cars. I just think that it doesn't make sense.

So already years late, Sony themselves would be stupid enough to still list the Veyron as a standard in error, despite already having edited the list to update the F40's listing to say it's premium?

Keep clutching them straws.

It was made for the PSP game, they didn't make it for GT5
The postcards confirm it isn't up to premium quality if you look at them closely.

It should be, but than again these guys didn't include some of the fastest cars in the world to this game. I wouldn't doubt them not finding the Bugatti essential to the premium list. I mean, priority goes to buses and other stupid vehicles no one will drive. PD wasted their time making some of them cars premium and forgot about ones that NEED to be..

YES, DLC. Or better yet, PD should premium up the new Veron that beats the Shelby SSC record.

I pushed the yes.

yes and I'm praying you're right. If the Zonda R was included because "it broke the production car record at the ring", why wouldn't the SS be in the game and premium?

Also, if the SS is premium and the 16.4 is not, I really could care less. There just has to be a Veyron that's premium. No other video game has done a good job with the car models physics or interior, so I was looking forward to GT5 largely to drive the veyron in car.

I think it might have to do with car transfer from GTPSP and GT5:P.
If you look, a lot of the cars included in both GT5:P and GTPSP are listed both standard and premium. My guess is if you import from GTPSP, the cars become standard; GT5:P cars become premium. They had modelled it for GTPSP, but not GT5:P, and didn't have time/funds to model it premium so they left it standard.

I would prefer the Veyron Super Sport (with 1200HP) as Premium DLC at some point in the future. This car is about nothing else than speed, so who would care about the regular Veyron if you can buy the Super Sport for 'just' 800.000$ more.

So should every popular, fast car be banned?

Why vote at all?

Well a point needs to be made about this situation, most of the folks that are unhappy about this think that the standard cars are lacking graphical quality and what not, and that simply is not the case, so why you know the difference trust me, many people do not. And certain folks go around here spreading FUD having other people think the standard cars are just ripped out of GT4 with nothing done to them, its absurd. The only difference is no cockpit views, I believe a lot of people can live with that.

Oh yea, I wanted to say. I hope while they are making GT6, if they ever make a premium version that is in GT5 that's standard. They will release an update to the game and not charge us for it. But they don't need to update cars that aren't in the game to begin with. Be cool if they increased the percentage of premium cars to standard ones slowly as time goes by. Maybe the 230 premiums turn into 300 or so in a year. Wishful thinking? Maybe.

If the only difference between 500,000 and 4,000 polys is the interior, I better be able to read the moulding detail on plastics.

I actually don't care about the graphical differences in the first place. Same physics, I'm happy with the 800 standards. But the fact that Bugatti (as previously mentioned) is a milestone, it should be treated as one. I can live with 1000 cars of standard quality without cockpit views, but would I want that? No, I'd kill myself. Somehow.

not only is a lack of cokpit view a huge deal but it's the principle of it. It's just wrong to leave the Veyron out no matter what's missing from it. and once again, you're looking at this subjectively. the detail of the standard cars and how people care about cockpit view is irrelevant. I'll say it again, THE POLL IS IF YOU THINK THE VEYRON IS IMPORTANT ENOUGH TO BE IN THE TOP 20% OF THE CAR LIST IN GT5

THESE ARE NOT REASONS TO VOTE NO. I said be objective, meaning take yourself and your preferences out of the equation. Your vote should simply decide whether the veyron is worthy to be in the top 20% OF THE 1000 IN GT5, not overall. online racing, and what view you use, ARE COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT!!!!

Well if that's the case all cars should be premium, but there are not and these little bastards need to stop whining about it, I certainly hope I don't have to put up with this same gripe for the next 6 years or whenever the next GT comes out.

Edit: Also by your logic this same poll can be made for any car, sure everyone would like there favorite cars to be premium by your logic, so its a stupid poll and should be locked for simply being stupid, because bringing objectiveness to this thread is the only way to make it make sense.

It's possible, but seriously? It's obvious it would be included in GT5 at a later point, but instead of modelling it as "Premium" and then down-scale it for GTPSP, they just modelled it as "Standard" and called it a day? Sounds pretty dumb to me. A lot of people have been waiting for that car.

This is the only explaination I can think of to be honest. Then again the zr1 was in gtpsp and that was in a demo as premium. Probably what s/p stands for?

asking a simple question is not whining, it's a discussion. you still can't take yourself out of the equation and if I could, I would ban you from posting in this thread because you're too immature to understand what the issue is here.
