I couldn't resist and plugged the new monitor to my current rig. I have to say, I like the looks of my ASUS vg248qe better. However! Even when both are 144hz, 3D (who even uses that?), 1 m/s gaming monitors, the Dell has in its favor being a 1440p monitor with G-Sync.
1440p looks so beautiful! But it's that G-Sync thing... now I know why people hype it so much. It is an absolute game-changer. Zero tearing, zero stutter, zero input lag. Just a blissful smoothness that I have never experience before.
I gotta say, I kind of feel buyers remorse for this whole new PC thing... My old PC is able to handle 1440p on heavy AAA games with a very comfortable average of 70fps.
