World Market mango scented candles.

I’m sending a bundle of these to an old crush whom I’ve known for almost 5 years. We’ve come to amends with our feelings and we’re confidants.

I haven’t seen her in 3 years, so I am really missing her. For some reason she really takes her birthday seriously, so, for once, I’m going to send her these and a letter.

Fitness sandbags: using them for cardio and strength building.

I got these pins from an artist I discovered on Twitter named Meyoco. She makes these gorgeous pins.

This is her store (although it's closed right now.) This is the second set of pins I've bought from her. They are always beautiful and well made. These are the pins I got from her recently. This photo doesn't do them any justice. They really sparkle in real life.
Those are very cute!!!

I decided to use the threat of contracting the deadly, deadly virus on packed public transport as an incentive to get a bike to commute on (for when I go back to work, don't know when that'll be):

It's a Specialized Sirrus X 2.0, I'll be doing 100 miles a week on this thing (somehow, I can barely do half an hour at 30km/h on an exercise bike at the moment). Hoping to shed a lot of weight and finally get fit - I'm 33 and both sides of my family have histories of heart problems and high blood pressure, so it's about time - in doing so, too.

Now I have the joy of shopping for accessories to keep me entertained for a while. Lock, mudguards, lights, rack, rack bag, the lot. At least it came with a bell, though.

I love useless things, especially when its silly without being crude.

There's a brand that created a line up of famous art pieces you can convert into other poses. I turned The Thinker into Atlas. Never would've seen that happen for centuries until now. Shame this man's too muscular to be flexible enough for some other ideas I had.

Missed my chance to pick up The Scream as that one had some truly hilarious gestures you can make.

I told my wife I needed new work socks.

Next thing I know she says she ordered seven pairs for me.

The first five showed up today.

I have no idea what the other two will be.

Truly feels like Christmas in June around here... 👍👍

Unrelated, but is anyone in the US (even global) having issues with purchases being shipped with USPS? A few things I’ve bought haven’t moved in an entire week.

Someone I know shipped me a package from Europe, USPS took over the US leg of shipment and it hasn’t even been scanned at US customs yet. That was a week ago.

Yeah, bought a phone case and USB SD card adapter about a month ago.

TL;DR: Checked the post office about ten days after it supposedly arrived, USPS site said it was available for pickup, not there, nobody else in the house saw anything addressed to me in the mail. Still waiting on it BTW.

Today's purchases.

Comics: Classic Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Betty and Veronica (all digital, I bought them on Comixology.)

More comics, a movie and a book: Jughead: the Hunger in which Jughead is a werewolf, two issues of the current Sabrina comic, and Vampironica in which Veronica is a vampire. Archie's Horror comic line is surprisingly good. The movie is from RiffTrax, and the book is from John Moe, a great comic writer. Again, these are all digital.

Two more watches: Casio Forester BT500 in green and brown. They were only $17 and $18 each. I already have the black one so I've now got the full set. Finally, something real I can hold in my hand. When they arrive in the mail, that is.

Being on such a severe budget means I really have to be careful with the fun stuff. Fortunately, all this came to under $100.

I had been inclined to get either a OnePlus 8 Pro or the Xperia 1 II but neither of them had the close-to-full package I wanted from a new phone.

Oppo had a pre-order bonus on the Find X2 Pro however: A free set of Bang & Olufsen wireless headphones worth £350. So I figured I could justify spending £1100 on a handset if I could make a few hundred selling those and my old Huawei P10. Not sure if ColorOS is as good on paper as OxygenOS (it certainly isn't when it comes to updates) but it's got deep customization and a relatively clean UI. I also much prefer the ceramic finish and the camera array over the other two options, though it does share a lot with the 8 Pro with the same main camera and screen.

Update: Ordered May 10th, supposedly arrived on the 22nd, actually got it today 23 days after it supposedly arrived.

Nitecore 1500 lumens torch with 3400 mAp battery pack. Pretty awesome, at night I can easily light up trees and stuff in 300m distance, and looking into it at close range is like standing inside a solar flare. :dopey:

OMG MUST HAVE! In multiple Gran Turismo games the first thing I did was grind beginner races just to buy me a Viper and set it up exactly like this, even with the same colors. :dopey:

I grunted when gifted a vacuum cleaner several years ago by my mother-in-law.
It’s probably the most useful gift I’ve ever received, especially with cats in the house.
