Snagged a Sydney Roosters home jersey through their 50% off end of year sale. Christmas is now sorted (Well, for me anyway.)

Vent Valve Canister Solenoid thingy for my 2009 Impala. Check Engine light came on (scanned it and got P0499) a couple weeks ago and apparently it's not too threatening of an issue so I waited for the nicest day possible for weather.

Fairly simple removal/installation. Took about 30 minutes, would have been faster if it wasn't for it being a little chilly outside and the rubber hose being hard to move around. Also, a muffler right in view because of dual exhaust. Yay, lol.

Got this just today! :dopey: Despite not being a huge fan of NASCAR and it's games for a long time, Nascar Racing 2003 Season is game that has really had my attention lately since it has tons of interesting track mods, especially since one of them, namely Myrtle Beach Speedway, is one I am actually familiar with in real life. I have experienced quite a change in how I view NASCAR ever since I started watching S1apSh0es on Youtube earlier this year and now, I actually like it more than I ever have!

I see this game going for quite a lot on Amazon and eBay, but I got extremely lucky and got this one from Amazon for only $15 (shipping included) and it comes with everything, including the CD key. :D (which I censored out due to the AUP)

Already got it installed and got the needed patches to make it work on Windows 10 and it runs great! :D Now I just need to finish configuring my controls and I can start having some fun! :dopey: I'm still amazed I got it for what I did.

And there's me literally binning my perfectly good copy of this very same game just last week :ouch:

Guess i should've checked ebay first to see if it still had any value. Also chucked out copies of GTR2 and GT Legends :ouch::ouch: - all with CD Keys.

Though purchased weeks apart, these two just happened to arrive on the same day, which is oddly apt.

Or well, it would be oddly apt if the walkman didn't need a bit of repair work to get it going properly.

What's the DD QUARTZ thing do?

The quartz crystal is used as an accurate frequency indication for the purposes of tape speed regulation. Essentially it's used for a similar purpose as in a quartz clock.
Portable tape players without this system (like the earlier DD-I and DD-II) could change speed over time and you'd have to manually tune it using a potentiometer.

Finally got my new PC...

AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT
Corsair H115i Pro Hydro cooler
32Gb DDR4 @3200MHz (needs to be upgraded to 3600, but.. timing)
Gigabyte X570 gaming board
8Gb Nvidia Geforce RTX3070 GPU
512Gb M2 SSD
2Tb & 4Tb storage/backup

The picture's a bit boring since I didn't bother spec'ing any lighting, but the Ram and the Processor cooler are set to glow depending on component temperature...

The case is massive, but it's quiet as ****, and even in 'quiet' mode, none of the temps get above about 38°C in average use.

Yup, it always pays to check the value of your games first before throwing them out. I sometimes myself like to look up how much some of my games are worth out of curiousity.

DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 for instance was being sold for between $75 and 100 on ebay and Amazon btw.

I had to buy this old Zalman because of the socket. I could have ordered a standard Intel cooler (talked to the guy from the store a few minutes ago) but I couldn't wait.

love Rocket machines. I’ve had my eye on the new Rancilio Silvia Pro and a Niche Zero grinder but I can’t pull the trigger.

Resistance is futile, the Rancilio was on my short list. Also heard good things about the Niche Zero.
