Red = warm.

That said, I've been periodically taking the temperature of the block today. It's amazing, so I'm told, the importance of just 3 inches - the block is barely more than room temperature even with the heating on full blast. *shrug*

20 bucks worth of gas at 75.8 cents a liter. I'm loving these gas prices! Last time they were this low I was back in elementary school!

50% off in the frig at the appliance outlet place makes that a smokin deal. I still choked on the amount spent on things like this.

All the major stuff is in now. I just have the miscellaneous stuff like pots and pans to move from the old house to the new one. I took 3 days off last week to get most everything done.

I got a couple of albums today.

I'm not sure why I never got No Control earlier, it's bloody fantastic. How It Goes sounds pretty good so far, it's not as good as Strictly Rude, but then not many albums are IMO.

I finally gots me a fancy radio (that works!) for my Celica:

The Pioneer DEH-P3000IB, which fit most of my criteria. I'll be damned if it doesn't have a good kick to it...

Paying for "models" is illegal. At least around here. ;)

Nice bit o' kit, Syntax error. 👍

To take pictures of? That was camera equipment, after all...Not a bedding set. :dunce:

Edit: Argh...double posting.

Maxxis Holy Roller 26" x 2.4" Bought after I had a nice sized nail go through the top and sidewall of my rear tread on my bike. Not as smooth as the Kenda K-Rad in the front, but it does hold the ground better.

Realizing that the DeepDiscount.com 25% off Blu-Ray sale ended Sunday I hurriedly placed my order for these on Saturday night. Got all three for $76 after tax.

Planet Earth Blu-Ray

Polar Express 3-D Blu-Ray

Now, can someone please explain to me why it took years for the distributors to realize that four pairs of $0.50 paper 3-D glasses with the 3-D version of a film will easily get an extra $5-$10 out of people? I was saying it ever since I saw Polar Express on 3-D IMAX the first time.

Rush - The Spirit of Radio: Greatest Hits (1974-1987)

This wasn't included in the sale but it was $3 cheaper than the next cheapest price I could find. The only song it is missing, that I wanted, is YYZ, which I bought off of iTunes.

Now when I am not listening to my Ayn Rand audiobooks I can listen to music inspired by Ayn Rand. 👍 That and they rock.

Excellent purchases all the way around! 👍

On a quest to update my PC, I picked up one of these:

19-115-041-02.jpg

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Yorkfield 2.83GHz LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Processor Model BX80569Q9550

* Processors Type: Desktop
* Series: Core 2 Quad
* FSB: 1333MHz
* L2 Cache: 12MB
* Manufacturing Tech: 45 nm

* Multimedia Instruction: MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSE4, EM64T
* Model #: BX80569Q9550
* Item #: N82E16819115041
* Return Policy: Processors (CPUs) Return Policy

With the excitement of the new found power of the processor, I eagerly installed it in my 680i mother board. This proved to be anti-climatic as this board does not support quad core or 45nm processors. I hadn't even thought about the possibility of it not be compatible because the socket was the same 775 architecture. So no soup for me. As a result I had to order one of these:

Good question, to which I have no answer. :) If I had to guess, only seven I think....but that's since the P4 3.2ghz processor days. Of those seven, 5 are still in use. I have enough parts to build probably 3 lower end PC's which would be great for linux or low use internet based work stations I guess, but how many PC's does a guy really need? :D

I still have a single core!:sly:

It's a AMD Athlon 64-bit @2.2GHz; in my last post of this topic I posted what graphics card and RAM I'm going to add to it.

I'm still on an old Venice core .7ghz Athlon 64. :) Waiting for Nehalem to be Nehacheap.

Maxxis Holy Roller

Good tires. I got a pair of these from danscomp a couple years back for a dirt track I ride. I use them on the front though (Kenda streets on the back; cant remember the name off hand). My second 'Roller is finally wearing a little low, I should probably replace it soon.

Just making sure: it's a camera mount, right? Indeed cool.

I got Test Drive Unlimited for PS2 on Friday (almost beaten now, too - it's hard to put down), but I'll wait until this Friday to "show it off," when I'll have two more entertainment collections.

May I ask where you got that? I've been wanting to buy something like that for a while now.
I need to buy one as well for next year's Concorso, and maybe a couple fun runs. :P
Any idea or caution about how much speed it can handle? Probably not as much as I'm thinking.

*snip*

Yeah I got it because it closely resembled the K-Rad in the front. It has so much more grip than the front tire does though. I overshot this one hill on the local trail and the front end slipped out a little bit but the back end stayed firmly on the ground. Luckily I didn't fall off. Fun tire, It feels a bit lumpier than the front though.

i dunno where you can get them in america but i got mine from fast films also available from cameragrip
just search for car camera mounts or manfrotto mounts and you should find something, you can get all sorts from little dash ones to super long telescopic mounts :dopey:

it is suggested to use tethers if using outside at any speed, and higher speeds are best kept on private roads or track. im still a bit wary using it outside still, and in cold weather the suction can lose grip :scared: for runs there are safer setups that are less likely to fall, ones that span the width of the car or with multiple mounting points 👍

YAY! First post from my new.......:

I thought the Holy Rollers came in 20'' do they weigh alot? The K-Rads were probably smoother because the square tread pattern was right in the centre of the tyres.

Havent splashed out in a while so I bought and fitted these yesterday

8k Xenon headlights

And today I just picked these up

Originally from an Si across the pond same colour as mine, only covered about 10000 miles before they were taken off:cool:
