OMG! why did this have to be the ONE week in the last 2 years I have no spending money!? Grr. I'm going to have borrow to get some of those deals despite being behind on on unplayed games : Bioshock. Fallout 3, Killzone, MGS4, and many more.

Spent my last $30 Filling up on gas in the Mazda and my Kawasaki.

Got quite a good reputation (won some Vista performance award) and currently the highest areal density possible per platter, 320GB on each. So far running quite nicely.

Thanks to the heads up from D-N, I also just acquired Eye of Judgment.

Oh, yeah. And a bike chain tool. Apparently my new chain is too long even though it says it's good for 10-24 speeds.

Even with having to buy the chain tool, it was still cheaper to do it at home as opposed to having the bike shop do it - $14 vs. $25.

I've listened to the audio book (in English) a while ago and I was always talking about it to my girlfriend so she got interested. Bought it mainly for her but I also want to read it.

Currently I'm listening to the Atlas Shrugged audio book (in English also) and I'm having a very hard time to find the book in Portuguese, I think it's out of print since Ayn Rand is not very popular over here. If I can't find it I'll end up buying the American version but then my girlfriend won't be able to read it...
Two of my favorite books. đź‘Ť

Thanks to the great tip from FoolKiller:

  • Think Fast: Ultimate Trivia Showdown w/4 Wireless Buzzers
  • Disney Sing It w/Microphone
  • SingStar: Country w/Microphones
  • SingStar: Vol.2
  • Monster Lab
  • MLB08: The Show
  • 007 Quantum of Solace
  • Soul Calibur IV
All for just $10 each!

The others in the pic I got at the same time from their store deals section. The ones I got were:
  • $15 for a Samson R31S Concert Microphone
  • $5 for 2008 World Series of Poker
  • $5 for All Pro Football 2K8
  • $3 for NHL 2K8

All told... a savings of around $300. đź‘Ť

Thanks again FK!
My wife says you went overboard. I may agree.

And they had those boxed sets (SingStar, etc.) for the sale at your store? My store just had the standalone games.

Eye of Judgment w/ PS Eye, for just $30 at WALMART

I got that same deal six months ago and that game has been sitting unopened in my entertainment center because I had no one to play it with.

Just a word of warning, if you intend to do the expansions at all it requires a $15 add-on download from the PSN store and that still doesn't get any of the expansion set cards. So, just keep that in mind if you happen to run across some more cards online.

It's only a saving if you were going to buy all that stuff originally ;)
Impulse shopping + "I'll try this if it ever gets down to X amount" means this is savings.

You can fill up a car and bike for $30?
In the Midwest United States, yes. I can do my car (14 gallon tank) alone for under $25 right now if I hit the right station.

Here is my Best Buy take.

Not nearly as big as D-N's but a good take for just $30. I wanted SingStar Vol 2 but my store didn't have it in stock.

Also, my golf buddy recently had surgery on his shoulder so as the weather is getting warmer there have been no plans for golf. But at his most recent physical therapy session he was told he could play any Frisbee based games. So, he suggested Frisbee (disc) golf. Like any good friends, three of us went with him and bought the Frisbee disc golf starter kit and headed out on Saturday to a local course. We even had a fifth person come along at the last minute who thinks he will buy his own kit too.

Meijer had it for $15. đź‘Ť I recommend the game to anyone with functional arms. It's something even kids can play with a very small learning curve.

Well done Robyn, I use 5 Western Digital hard disks in my system. Be sure you won't regret your bought. Simply the best (even my Playstation 3 have a 6th one inside).

Quite true, and fortunately, all but one were titles I was interested in buying, just not at $40-$60. :)

Yes, but as I discovered, they also let me order any of the games off their site that were not in stock for the same $10 price... they even gave me a break on the shipping. đź‘Ť

I wanted SingStar Vol 2 but my store didn't have it in stock.

I had the same problem with trying to get a copy of SingStar: ABBA, but the sales rep just told me to go to the customer support/return desk, and sure enough they were happy to order it for me and have it shipped directly to me as well, so if you get a chance, you might want to go back, and see if they will order it for you. đź‘Ť

Interestingly enough, this is the third Eye of Judgment set I've bought. The first I bought back in '07 simply for the camera. The second I bought for my nephews, last month, also at Walmart, because at $30, it was cheaper than getting the camera on it's own, which is why I bought this to give to my in-laws for video conferencing... but if they also play the game, that's just a bonus. :)

I second the recommendation. While I haven't played it in a very long time, I have fond memories playing it occasionally with a couple of my running buddies... playing at night, after an evening well spent touring the clubs on 6th street can be especially entertaining. :D

BTW: I never heard of Meijer before, and now I know why. :)

Must check their site, or the two stores close to work.

I love Best Buy. It's like my happy fun imaginationland.

Think Wal*Mart. Now, picture it clean.

The Meijer here is cleaner than any of the Wal-Marts. Besides the one they're still building of course. Judging by the most recent one I'm guessing this new one will be trash in no time. Our Meijer store has actually gotten nicer, and the 10-year old Target is just as nice as it was when new.

Now K-Mart, that's a different story. I only walk on their floors with my work boots.

Meijers, clean? That's funny.
The new ones they are building down here? Definitely. It's all white with bright halogen bulbs making everything shiny. I used to work at one during college so I know how much emphasis they put on making sure everything got cleaned immediately.

Maybe it is just that your stores are older? Or possibly that around here they mostly just build them all in the middle-upper class neighborhoods, next to the movie theaters and bookstores. Honestly, just the customers look cleaner than your average Wal*Mart around here.

The newer stores are also doing this whole neighborhood thing where the front of the store actually looks like a historic downtown setting.

If I had to take a wild guess though, I would say they are making a move on the heart of Wal*Mart country and the only way to do that is to be bigger, fancier, and cleaner.

Now K-Mart, that's a different story. I only walk on their floors with my work boots.
Well, when you are trying to fight your way out of bankruptcy you have little spending money for cleaning supplies. But my local store does manage to never remove Disney movies that have gone "back to the vault." I also got an iPod speaker pillow (pillow with a built-in speaker and headphone jack) for $1.99.

Haha, nice. That's a pretty clever idea actually.

Anyways, I pity you all and you're fancy new video games. Get something classic. I'm not talking about the kind of games that were around before I knew what sex was, I'm talking about the late 90s.

Yeeeaaahhh booiii!!! I've been looking for my copy for years. It's gone. I really miss this game, and it was only $10 on Ebay. There were cheaper, but this was the first one I saw and it's already a perfectly reasonable price for something I've been wanting so bad. I'd rather have the disc than data on my PS3's hard drive id Sony ever releases this game for download. I'm happy.

Bah! High Stakes is the first game that offered tuning aspects. Simple, but hey at least you could buy packages to make your car faster and stuff. Plus, Caprices!

Yes High Stakes... alot of very late nights, potato chips, and Coca-Cola. :sly: Randy

It's great. I can watch a movie on my PSP or listen to music/audiobooks on my iPod and my wife never hears a sound.
