Yeeeaaaaah.

Bah! High Stakes is the first game that offered tuning aspects. Simple, but hey at least you could buy packages to make your car faster and stuff. Plus, Caprices!
I can sit down to this day and blow hours on Hot Pursuit chasing after the perfect laptime (usually with the Nazca C2, and usually at Atlantica), and the track design is fantastic. Its hard for me to even play High Stakes at all because I hate the physics engine so much. There is a song on the Hot Pursuit soundtrack that is essentially a 5 minute guitar solo, in addition to the other songs that contain 5 minute guitar solos. I literally went out and bought my PSP so I could play Hot Pursuit on the go (though, ironically, as the music doesn't work on the PSP, I don't actually play it).
Plus, Lamborghini SUVs!

Now High Stakes on the PC, that is an entirely different story.

Very nice! 👍

I'm looking to replace my 7 year old Square Wire 2.0's, but I'm not liking the $335 price tag for Juliets. :scared:

Haha, nice. That's a pretty clever idea actually.

Anyways, I pity you all and you're fancy new video games. Get something classic. I'm not talking about the kind of games that were around before I knew what sex was, I'm talking about the late 90s.

Yeeeaaahhh booiii!!! I've been looking for my copy for years. It's gone. I really miss this game, and it was only $10 on Ebay. There were cheaper, but this was the first one I saw and it's already a perfectly reasonable price for something I've been wanting so bad. I'd rather have the disc than data on my PS3's hard drive id Sony ever releases this game for download. I'm happy.

One of the first video games I ever played. I still have it for PC laying around somewhere... I remember it being awesome sauce, and doing split screen with my friends...

Two packages arrived in the mail today.

First is an addition to my SingStar repertoire

Amped contains all the 90's alternative/rock/grunge songs I grew up listening too and Pop was just $13 on Amazon, so I grabbed it. It is worth it just for The Clash and U2, but it has some stuff my wife will like too.

And then Newegg came through for my new phone big time.

8GB MicroSD card, USB charge/data cable, and DC to AC inverter. I am tired of paying upwards of $20 for every cell phone car charger, not to mention iPods, DVD players, PSP, etc. Now all my wall plugs or USB charging cables will work in my car. And before someone points out my USB cable for my phone: It was $4.

With the 8GB memory card I can take full advantage of the 3MP camera and MP3 player in my phone.

So, does anyone else love coming home to just find packages waiting for you?

Bought Tales of the black Freighter yesterday and hurried home to watch it…. It was kind of disappointing actually. I felt that it didn’t really work on it’s own.

I believe I said it feels like a Tales from the Crypt episode.

Under the Hood, however, is pure win.

Even Apple headphones have improved a lot in the last few years. The ones that came with my iPod video are inferior to my iPhone (3G) ones. I also have some Phillips ones from WalMart that are quite a bit better than either one, but the iPhone ones have the inline microphone and remote, both of which are useful enough to keep with me instead of the Phillips.

Speaking of headphones, I just recently picked up some Shure SE330's and all I can say is AMAZING! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy some new headphones. They are quite expensive but well worth it if you ask me. Also I just got a 13" aluminum Macbook as an early graduation gift. I also got some tickets to see The Killers tomorrow night at the Murat Theater downtown Indy. What a great last two weeks! :)

Wondering if I should pick up the STCC Exp. as well.

Oh man, please tell me how it is. I'm looking for GT5:P quality in graphics, and rFactor physics. Is this it?

With just a quick race in a Chevy, I can say it does a pretty good job physics wise. Don't know if its rFactor standards, though to be honest, I have not played rFactor in a long time. Turn off all the AIDs, and you can get some pretty exciting moments of oversteer, esp. with 4 or 5 cars still next to you.

The graphics are not GT5:P pretty, but they are an improvement over GTR2, and have a ProStreet feel to them, which isn't a bad thing considering PS had some pretty nice graphics.

My only irk at the moment is the AI. Didn't really give me any kind of challenge on moderate difficulty, so I might just have to crank that up. Other than that, I miss the option to let the AI drive your car so you can sit back and watch how it does. Was a nifty feature I enjoyed in GTR2.

Other than that, I say it's not a bad buy for $30 just going on first impressions. Different kind of racing that's fun to get into from the usual games.

Zomg 3 dogs!!! Im sooo not jealous*sarcasm* :(

The new dog is a border collie right?

On a seperate note...

spent 80 on my prom ticket...time to work out what to wear (gonna go broke:nervous:)

Wouldn't be so jealous if you had to pay for food, registration, vaccinations, vet checks, worming and general upkeep of 3 large dogs! Ideally, I think I could have 4, but logistically it's just not reasonable, it's a bit of a chore to walk 3 and transport them together.

And yeah, the new boy is a 18 month old Border Collie, I got him from the RSPCA 3 weeks ago, he was hit by a car and his owners surrendered him, his front leg was shattered so they just had to put plaster on it and hope it healed correctly. He still has a bit of a limp if he runs a lot but it's getting better from the regular short walks, exercises and hydrotherapy I've been doing with him. He should make a full recovery, although his leg is slightly crooked (you can see it in the 2nd picture)

His name is Craig. Cause that's what he came with and it's too weird to change.

Nice one Casio 👍, they all get a long well together?

I would go ahead and give it a pretty solid no.. Especially on the visual side of it.

EVO/ 07 = A lot less feel for the car than GTR2, which is still a superior race simulation both off and online.

Very enjoyable for a first sim though, but if you play 07 before GTR2 you may think differently.

XFX GeForce 8800GT Alpha Dog Edition:

A friend bought a Radeon 4870 to replace this one so I bought it, mainly because my current video card is a bit weak to handle games on higher resolutions, which is no problem for me right now since I'm using a 17" CRT monitor at 1024x768. But I intend on buying a 22" widescreen LCD in the near future so I thought it was a good deal to buy this card for half the price of a new one and save money in the future. He's been using it for less than a year so it's still in pretty good condition.

The UPS man just dropped a copy of this off here at work. Tiga's new album Ciao! I heard this on Radio 538's Dance Department the other night and really liked it so I figured I'd order the album. For whatever reason it isn't available in the US but thanks to the internet I tracked a import down.
