Needed a USB hub, and this was £3.50 with free delivery from John Lewis.

It's one of those Fairtrade things from United Pepper. I've fancied getting one for a while, but the RRPs are insane - it's £24 from Dabs.com at the minute...

Brought one of those for a Christmas present. I highly recommend them though, they're proper different from the ususal items on the desk and plus, can be quite refreshing to see something bright and cheerful!

So long, old swing...

... hello, heavy boxes.

Upon opening the box to extract the paper and DVD directions (:ill:), I noticed the tire swing uses a Yokohama tire. Not a bad start at all. The real construction starts tomorrow when my dad and brother show up.

I r excited. :D

Uh oh. Smashed fingers? Getting on your nerves?

Just remember this line, "Daddy can work faster if you boys stay inside and watch television." :D
To take the old one apart, I only had to remove 6 screws and 2 bolts. I had them occupied with getting their toys out of the sandbox while I was doing that. Besides the fact that they are fairly well behaved most of the time.

Most. :P
DVD directions? :D
Yep. Instructions and menu.

They should be here in about an hour or so to get started!

Edit: under the Tools required for assembly it has listed, in part, tape measure, framing square, adult helper, mallet, hammer, etc. so I'm going to be calling my brother a tool all day. Or at least once. :dopey:

I call my brother a tool all the time. If not it is usually being replaced by words that risk violating the AUP.

Would you believe that my friend called me two days ago and asked me to help him put a set together. :odd:
Does he live in North Dakota? And did he ask you to bring all your money?

Distressed look Atari shirt by Joystick Junkies, but mine is in indigo, famine would be proud :D

You should've kept the old one to use to pick up ladies.

"Yeah, I was doing 60 through the congo when I ran into an ostrich that was about to eat an innocent child."

Skullcandy Ink'd (NZD$29.95) - to replace the really short and weirdly-designed earphones I got with my (mp3) phone.

With a cable length of 1.3m I can now use headphones on my laptop without having to plant my face 5cm off the keyboard :D

One annoyance, however - the medium-sized expander thingy is slightly too small to fit snugly in my right ear, meaning useless sound from that side; and the large expander is slightly too large to fit snugly and therefore give decent sound :( (large fits in my left ear perfectly)

Damn, on the site it says $19.99. Jeez, I bought those for $3.99 at Marshalls. :indiff:

👍

While I did have a GTP member over to help me, sadly it was not Mr. MOTO.

So. This is what 11 hours of work will get you. Actually 9 hours plus a 45 minute lunch break, a 30 minute break around 3 and another 45 minute break for supper.

This thing is awesome!

Man, that looks awesome!!!!

You tried it out, didn't you?
Of course I did! As soon as I had the rock wall done, I climbed it. As soon as the slide was mounted, I tried it. You see where this is going. :D

Pack up the kids and leave right now and you can be here tomorrow afternoon. :sly:

 There would be more slide time for me without the kids. 👍

TB: Hell of an upgrade, hankolerd!
And, as that is your first post, welcome to GTP, too.
Thank you! Definately digging the BMW, but it does have some querky electric.
JoeyD: Wow that's a clean looking Scirocco too. Hope it went to a good home that isn't full of VW fail.
It did, I sold it to my friend so I can keep an eye on it! :)
TB: Based on the fact that the image names are DSCF7296.jpg and IMG_5115.jpg, I'm guessing two different cameras, so the Scirocco might be an old picture.

That and presumably a move from Washington to San Jose signifying more than a few days have passed between shots.
Two different cameras, about a month apart. Move to San Jose is for an internship with Cisco!
Blackbird: Oh snap San Jose, hello neighbor!
Hello!

I am not on here too often, I just come by to check the rumors in the morning. I will try to get on more often and meet the community! Hello to everyone

This book is broken. A book about the beginnings and all the members affiliated with the Canadian band Broken Social Scene. I mainly bought it for the stuff on Emily Haines of the band Metric and Leslie Feist. Great read so far.
