Texas has weird temp. plates, here there is just a little yellow piece of paper you put in the back window.

I saw one a couple weeks ago here(Not sure why you would take a brand new car on that long of a road trip but someone did) and it took me quite a while to figure out that it was a temp. plate.

I hate reading, I really do. Staring at recycled paper with black text pains my eyes and words get jumbled in my mind. When I saw the audio version on iTunes, I jumped out of my chair. Click, buy, listen.

The book is still number one on both the New York Time's Bestsellers list and Amazon's Top 100.

I got 2 of 3 games that I ordered off of half.com.

Midnight Club was a surprise since they didn't give me a tracking number like the other two did.

Got some low-top Chucks (yes, in that color – I had to order online, since no retailers carry it):

Heres mine, not my latest but certainly the greatest this year. Cost= too obscene!! But compared to other road racers I have had this is the equivalent of a Ferrari.

I figure it will take less than 5 minutes on the GTP clock for someone with half an ounce of ingenuity to figure out why I booked this.

$33pp per night, in a place like that? Wow. I'd dread to think what you'd get for £20pp per night over here! Cardboard box with en-suite bucket?

You tend to pay for the room in the States, rather than per person as you do over here.

£61 a night sounds reasonable though for a more up-market looking place like this 👍

*edit* - Jeff Gordon Racing School at Atlanta Motor Speedway or Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta?

Just a few hours ago I bought the iPhone OS 2.0 for my touch. Some nice new features like the spotlight search. I'm unhappy that there's still no option to play all albums from a single artist.

Correct. It is $99 a night, two nights. I'm checking out on the 27th. Some places will charge a small fee for each person over 2, but Jameson Inn doesn't. Last year I only had to pay $89 a night, so they raised their rates on me.

I named the image petitlemanshotel.jpg I thought it was about as obvious as I could get.

Tickets ship out on September 11th, expect a pic of that soon after.

I didn't think we were going this year. All spring I was trying to get my friends to commit and they wouldn't. Yesterday my wife said that if I wasn't doing that she wanted an outlet mall trip to Gatlinburg, TN. So I made one last quick offer for the race. They both said yes and we are on our way. I didn't expect to get a hotel this close though. Last time I tried this late I could only get one for the night after and we had to stop two hours away to find one. Oddly, this year we got one in the same place we stayed last year, less than 10 miles out.

My only other option was Best Western by the track for $145 a night, and with just a king bed available. We decided we didn't want to pay $50 for the three of us to snuggle.

And do not let their fancy white wash facade fool you. On the inside it looks like any other two-star motel. They just give all their buildings the southern bed and breakfast look.

I have stayed in fancy hotels before and there is nothing like finding a bottle of water waiting in your room for you with a $2.99 price tag hanging off of it.

I got the 3rd game today Grand Prix Challenge,

It is probably one of the best looking games I've seen on the PS2. I really have no idea why this game didn't sell better, It is a hidden treasure like Toca 3.

Haha, Wow, you're literally 10 minutes from my door (If you just go towards Monroe down Hwy 81 until you get to the Texaco and turn left :P)
I wouldn't suggest getting in the pool there however, atleast not after I saw what they let it turn into over the winter

I'm fairly confident that when you choose an artist theres an option above all the albums to play all songs from the artist. Pretty sure.

Yes, there's an option to play all songs but it's in alphabetical order. 👎

When it gets closer I may be asking you for directions to a couple of parks that apparently have disc golf courses. I did a search for Winder out of pure curiosity and found two, so we are thinking of coming in early Friday and leaving late Sunday so we can check out both courses.

Are you going to the race?

No. A good friend used to be the supervisor for the Health Department's pool inspection team. He said that if you can imagine a bodily fluid it is in the water of a public pool.

I went onto Google maps and I knew of the one place (Fort Yargo), though I wouldn't recommend it because if it's like anything else in the park it's very small.

Although there's one On Lee Street, which is the street behind the Hotel, I've never seen it though, so no recommendations there :P

Are you going to the race?

I have no plans to attend the race this year, as it's likely something I'd either have to fund myself or get for a birthday present (and with TB:RB coming out the 9th, all I'm asking for on my Birthday is cash :P)

Maybe next year though.

Chris.

If you could see the park in my town you would know that won't matter. We will play anywhere we can.

Is that Victor Lord?

That's a shame. It's a blast.

Is that Victor Lord?
From what I saw, yes, tucked away in a corner with some baseball fields and tennis courts.

I'm sure it probably is after reading about you going and hearing about it from my friend who went. I rode past it the other day on my way to Oakwood and they're already getting ready for the race.

Dude, are these Bontranger rims/spokes?!

They do look like ones that I brought for my racer bike. And man, that's one fast lookin' speedster there! :)
