Got this last night..

SimpleDrive 1TB external HDD

Well, Audible.com was having a big sale on audiobooks, so I snagged a couple for $5.95 and then I had a couple of credits too.

While flipping through them I realized my non-fiction titles were running low, so I grabbed a few and then decided that the time has come for me to revisit Pern.

I also realized that whenever I visit the site my wish list grows instead of shrinking, as one would expect to happen when you buy something from an online store.

FK, have you read Robert Murphy before? He's a really brilliant guy. One of the preeminent Austrians, and because he also knows Keynesian and Monetarist theory (and the associated mathematics) so well.

Anyway, I got this from my dad:

He got it as a gift but the gift-giver didn't know he was Mr. Mac and that he has had it since it was announced.

I haven’t actually driven it yet! It’s been sitting in my garage for months. I either could never afford any other equipment, or never had any time away from the books.
Once everything is ready to run by next week, I’m going to be sent away up north for work... So I’ll have to wait another month.

Made 2 major purchases recently

iphone-3gs.jpg

Iphone 3gs 16gb outright. Enjoying it thus far. No s60 or WinMo devices have come out or are coming out this year that are worth considering and I needed a larger ipod nano so the iphone won.

and

x3 1tb Western Digital 1TB HDD's. Have installed them for my Raid5 server to store all my tv shows. Can't afford to lose what I have as it was extremely difficult to get a large amount of it.

That Saab really doesn't show its age, does it? Looks great, and the design is still pretty modern looking. I won't say "fresh" just because that's Saabs fault for not changing hardly anything.

Nike Run Avant+ shoes with LunarLite padding in them. They feel like moonboot and look like they are from the 1990's but they are so comfortable to walk in. I was on my feet most of the day and they don't even hurt.

I totally forgot this purchase, as it was one of the second biggest of the year for me.

Expensive new shoes? Not even... 500$ insoles!

Yeah, insurance will cover it, but I still haven't seen any compensation and it's been a month since the claim. I should follow up on that...

Is this why you haven't been riding as much?

Try 6 years. 9-3 is the model. :P

I just bought (being sent in post) Tony Cottey's autobiography. I've worked with him, and it feels kind of weird that I'll be reading his book, but he is hilarious and the chapter on the death of Umer Rashid (drowned on a pre-season tour in the caribbean trying to save his brother) will be heart touching.

Just purchased Battlefield 1943 for 360 and.....

this little gem, just been released on 360 arcade for 800 gamerpoints. I never got to play the original Amiga version as my brothers used to hog it. Now it's been revised in HD goodness with new voice acting.

So, after seeing Harry Potter and the half-willing hormones my wife decided that she wanted to stop by Babies R Us. I was just determined to keep her from getting her mind set on any furniture and bedding until we know the sex.

While there we walked past this wall of "babies first toys" and I saw this. It was better than the usual ducks and bears available that every baby I know has (and one alligator). I looked at it and said I need to buy this when the baby gets here. Then my wife pointed at the closeout sticker. The combination of cheaply priced and soon to no longer be available made me go ahead and buy it. So, for the next seven months or so it will sit quietly in the guest room nursery.

Good call. I did the same thing with both the room and picking out names and it worked out well.

My purchase over lunch: 250' of 14-2 NM cable, a 10 pack of duplex receptacles and a light switch all for $36.67. Got some great deals. 👍

I ordered this from Deep Discount last night with their 25% off coupon code. $52 and free shipping. Apparently I'm not the only one as it is on backorder. It is worth the wait for the price.

And expect Watchmen Special Edition Blu-Ray tonight. I'm picking that up on the way home.

All for only $20!*

I'd say the results are pretty good:

*Of course, considering I now need to buy another PSP so I can replace the motherboard that I broke, its actually going to be closer to $70, but whatever. Totally worth it. I also screwed up one of the screen protectors trying to put it on, but that is why I bought two in the first place.

Sadly I still haven't had the time to sit and play it for a particularly long period of time and with Wipeout HD Fury just around the corner it looks as it'll be a busy weekend.

Downloading Eddie Murphy Raw from the iTunes Store as I type this. It was only $10 and the iTunes Store is unmetered with my internet provider. :D
