Just bought this off eBay for £92, very pleased with the price I got it for. Can't wait for it to arrive.

Ah you got one, nice purchase! 👍

Nice purchase! Although I wonder if you for the same price couldn't have picked up a BOSS GT-series panel, those are even better. But man, I'm jealous now, I've been wanting a solid BOSS board for a long time now, enjoy it. And when you've got the bucks, go get a GT-10 :P:tup:

Cheers, I did look at the G-10 and some other GT series ones, and although they are better I was working with quite a tight budget. Sadly my budget didn't quite stretch to £160+ :( But it should be good, looking forward to it arriving.

Yup took your advice on what to go for, luckily managed to squeeze some money out my parents as a donation. :)

Something a little different, ill show off my reason for a new purchase:

Tyre shredded in two on the motorway yesterday, in the fast lane almost span out trying to get onto the hard shoulder but I controlled it :sly: Thank God the roads wernt busy or it could have been a lot worse. Also I normally leave my spare tyre in the garden but got a feeling in my stomach just before I left home that I might need it so took it with me for once :embarrassed:

I think i got a punture becaue the car started to feel bouncy and handling was sluggish. I was going to stop but I tried to save time by holding out til the next servie station. Unfortunately I didnt realise how bad it was and all of a sudden there was a loud series of thuds and huge plumes of white smoke from the back and the rear started snaking.

Also, I think Sunday I'm going to buy a 360 and Forza 2. If I do I'll post my a pic of my little entertainment area which consist of stuff less than 5 months old.
Well I did get it, but I was too busy playing to clean up and take pics, so tonight I'll get some and post them tomorrow.

Just ordered one of these through a cycle scheme at work which allows me to get it tax free.

Giant STP 1 Jump bike. :D

Pics when I have it in my possession in about 3 weeks.

Nice Purchase Joey! I really want to get a Flash for my camera but they are so expensive. I don't think I could justify spending that much on a flash.

Old one was as dead as...Well it was pretty dead. Too bad I didn't have a receipt as it was 5 month before the warranty expired. Though I doubt it would have been worth the hassle.

Ya it's expensive, but it feel it's worth it since I'm photographing a lot of stuff for work now and really do need a better flash.

It's an eyepiece with a 5mm focal length, which should give me magnifications of up to 240x - double what I have been able to see up until now. It can also be converted into different focal lengths, and you can also attach a digital camera to the front of the eyepiece, making astrophotography alot easier for a noob like myself.

Jeez, Toronado, how more Sega supportive can you get?

Well, I have 1 good reason. My bottom screen on my DS Lite cracked suddenly, and its gotten huge. How it happened? I have zilch idea.

Anyway, here they are, the lot, all my own pictures. Got Mario & Sonic @ Olympic Games with the DSi to add with as well.

Très cool 👍

I look forward to seing the results. I still find it amazing that you can actually see other planets from our own, not just as a slightly brighter star, but something you can make out the recognizable features and even their orbiting moons.

Meteor shower tonight UK peeps. 9-11pm. It'll be cloudy for sure, so imagine it!

 Like we'd believe that. Something like meteors hitting here just wouldn't happen. Not even BBC News has something like that. Seriously,

I don't know whether you're joking but it's perfectly possible to view a meteor shower... it doesn't mean that the meteors have to hit the ground :odd:

I think we should have an astrophotography thread here on GTP. There seem to be a few members getting into it and it'd be really interesting to see what people can achieve. Once I have a bit of money to my name I'll be investing in a telescope and start in astrophotography soon after, so for people like me it'll be handy seeing the routes others took too!

Likewise, getting paid soon and there is an astronomy shop about 1/4 mile away. That said, I have no chuffing idea how much a telescope costs!

Same here! After having seen it for the first time, I can now see why people spend so much money on better equipment for a better view. I'm not too concerned about what kind of pics I'll get out of it for the time being, I'd rather just be able to spend some time looking at the real thing!

I'm not sure I'll see anything tonight, as it is miserable here too :indiff:

As for the cost of a telescope, it's like anything else - you can pay as much for one as you want, it's more a question of getting as good a 'scope as you can for the money you are willing to spend. I'm happy with mine, which was only £200, but I'm only really interested in "pointing and looking" rather than more fancy stuff like tracking, for which you need a motorised tripod and/or a computer/proper software. If you look at this site, you'll see that a decent tripod will cost as much (if not more) than the optical tube. The good thing is, you can buy all the components separately, so you can always start with a cheapo 'scope with cheap optics and a cheap tripod, and then gradually upgrade bits as and when you think you need them 👍
