I made a few PSN purchases Thursday.

Silent Hill - PSOne Classics

And the ESRB has rated both Oddworld titles too, I am enjoying being able to catch up on the older PlayStation titles that I missed or only played briefly.

Just curious, do the PSOne games from PSN look any different from the original issue CD-Rom?

I haven't downloaded the Turtle game demo yet, but it looks like I should if you liked it enough to buy the full game.

No, and as far as I can tell they are direct images from the CD Rom, the only exceptions being multi-disc games like MGS. Multi-dics games are only changed to be in one file.

If you liked the SNES version it is exactly the same, with the only changes being HD graphics and online multiplayer, oh and trophies. I don't know if the SNES version had Simulation Mode, which is one life to beat the game, no continues.

If you tried either of the Capcom HD upgrade games, SF2 or MvC2, it is pretty much the same thing as those.

I need to make a correction here, because I was half paying attention while watching football when I typed this.

If you liked the SNES arcade version it is exactly the same, with the only changes being HD graphics and online multiplayer, oh and trophies. There is also an added Simulation Mode, which is one life to beat the game, no continues.

The differences between the arcade and SNES versions are significant enough to sway people's decisions.

Bought this this afternoon. RB: Beatles (Xbox 360) Wonderful presentation, great track list but finished in about 2.5 hours. Too easy even on Expert.

Hello GTP :D

I just came with my parents from quite possibly one of the best deals of my life !
Behold my parents (and in about a month, mine too) new car :)
LandRover_discovery_3_ext_7.jpg
(The one in the image is in fact the 09 lr3, mine doesn't have the air vents on the sides)

Black 2005 Land Rover Discovery 3, near mint conditions

Full Extras, including Harmann&Kardon 16.1 sound system, 7 seats, double a/c system (one for the front seats and another for the back seats), gps, tv, cruise control, etc, etc. The whole shebang :D

But the best thing is, i'm getting it for half the price of the base model, with all those extras, so it costs as much as defender 90 2 seater base model :sly:

Both games are great. Dirt 2 is a huge step up from the original. It's full of all kinds of fun and is really easy to get in to.

This edition of Rock Band is amazing, I played last night till I got to 66'-67' at Abbey road. Listening to the tracks this clear with all the crazy visualizations is really intense.

The new graphics in The Beatles: rockband always made me wonder if it was the result of playing rockband while high =P

Not sure about these Rock Band games, but The Beatles one really appeals to me. I doubt I'd get much use out of it, but fortunately I think my mate Stu is going to buy it, which means I should get to play with it a bit 👍

Sennheiser CX299 earphones - Listening to all my songs on my iPod with a new clarity tonight! Well worth the £30 I paid to replace my trusty old Sony headphones, which lasted about 10 years of fairly heavy use, unlike my iPod headphones which didn't even last a year (although I did drop them in the sink while doing the dishes one night :embarrassed: )

My most recent purchas....... well i traded for it... so i dunno... my Latest Acquisition!!! there we go!

Gateway 32' LCD Flat screen.

I traded some rims and tires for it off of my 07 jeep when i had it. ive been trying to sell them for little over a year now and never could. soooo when someone offered me a trade i couldn't say no (plus my moms selling her house and i cant store the rims here so they needed to go anyways!)

I remember talking about pirating music and whatnot. Some of them are definitely worth buying, however.

Not sure about these Rock Band games,
UnoMOTO said something similar when his girlfriend picked up Gutar Hero: Aerosmith. Now he owns World Tour, Smash Hits, and GH5, which means he has GH: Van Halen coming to him later this year.

Be careful, it's like a drug. At first you don't see why everyone lives it, but then you hit that one song you love and it all goes downhill from there. For me it was Boston's "Foreplay/Long Time" while playing on drums.

EDIT: Oops, forgot my latest purchase. I went to the book tour for "The Rookie" stop in Cincinnati and picked up the shirt.

Plus I was looking for the new Porcupine Tree CD but didn't find it. Have to grab it later.

Pre-ordered this:

And while I was in Gamestop (I wanted the Veyron) I was quickly reminded why I hate that place. The guy at the counter greeted me and asked if he could help me. I say that I want to get The Beatles: Rock Band, for the PS3. I figured they usually keep all but one copy of new games behind the counter, so this should be quick. He says, "OK, let me check," as he searches for it on his computer. As I am standing there I see it on the shelf behind him, with all the other new games. Then he sees it is in the system and starts to walk over to the PS3 section. When he is halfway there I say, "Isn't that..." while pointing, and he then goes, "Oh yeah." :dunce:

At least it was still a sealed copy and when I pre-order GT PSP he didn't try to get me to pre-order GT5 for some random date too.

Whoops, looks like I forgot this one...

Logic3 Jivebox.

The JBL Radial Micro wasn't loud enough. This most certainly is :D

Snow Leopard? Sounds like they're running out of names for OSX updates.

I have a pair of these coming in the mail sometime:

I'm considering painting the gold bits to a nice orange to match my Hope College stuff.

Awesome purchase! The original completely black vinyls are cooler though :P Enjoy that CD! I've been biting my nails to buy the "Pulse" live CD on iTunes, but I don't know how iTunes works, so... :ouch:

Needed some earphones to use so that I don't have to walk around with big headphones on my head and look retarted:

Paid close to nothing for these, and for that price the quality and what follows in the box is pretty much awesome 👍
