2002 Subie 2.5TS, picked up yesterday for elder daughter. 70k on the clock, original owner was the proverbial little old lady. Unfortunately she was not the type that kept it in the garage and only drove it to church on Sunday, so it is not pristine. However it is mechanically excellent, has never been wrecked, and should clean up pretty well.

Needs a roof spoiler from a WRX wagon and a set of wheels, eventually. These are pics from the CL ad; I'll take better ones when I get it cleaned up and buffed out.

Thanks!

Why do people hate bugeyes? I love bugeyes. I like blobeyes well enough, too; I just don't see them as any real improvement over the bugeye. I also like hawkeyes, but that inexplicable pignose in the middle makes that version my least favorite by far.

Very nice, Duke!

Ten thousand miles per year? That's not like any little old lady I know!

Well, like I said, she was not the "only to church on Sunday" type. I missed a 2002 Outback Sport with 47k on it by about 24 hours, but far and away most of the 2002-2003 Imprezas and Fozzies I saw had 90-110k on them. I also ran across a 2002 Legacy Outback sedan with 7k - yes, 7,000 miles - that had just been traded in, but I wasn't interested in either a Legacy or a sedan.

OCZ Elixir keyboard, OCZ Eclipse mouse, and Steelseries QCK mousepad. still testing out kb and mouse. no problems sofar and no ghosting has been experienced sofar :D still testing

KB is sort of a ripoff of the Razer Tarantula

That's a lovevly scoob, shame its a bugeye, fair play 👍

What's wrong with the Bugeye? I think it's the most attractive of that family of Impreza. Followed by the Hawkeye and the Blobeye.

Nice Subaru, though. Those Impreza wagons are pretty sweet. 👍

And hard to find around here. Nobody wants to part with them until they have at least 100k on the clock.

so one of my workmates is a comics fan or rather, was. Apparently his wife doesn't approve of his morbid comic addiction and said he can not own any more. He has about 2,000 of them.

Of course, he made a huge order a couple of months ago and had the comic book discussion with his wife last week (when said order arrived). So his order has been sitting in his office, unopened and untouched. He told me about the argument and I offered to buy the new comics from him... for about $80.

Keep in mind there's no real order in them; it's just random comics of which he has the remaining books, but it's still a nice addition to my (digital) collection.

It's definitely made a difference, there are some nice little touches that make life easier and the whole system looks a tiny bit more streamlined. The space saving and use of less resources are the main advantages though.

It looks the same from the desktop, the only difference being that the keyboard language icon is no longer a small flag! I'll post my new wallpaper though.

while that may be true, its completely killing my unibody 13" macbook pro. Battery life depletes extrodinarily fast and the unit is running at a much higher temperature (up from 40 to 70 degrees celsius). Apple better release a patch for this.👎

....and thinking of a little Acer or Lenovo netbook for my wife's facebook habits.

Asus Eee PC 900HA.

Mine is god like. You want the H part for the hard drive, these things suck with the SSD, and you want the A part for the Intel atom with 1.73 GHz processing power. Mine can play pre-Half life 2 games. And, if you put it into full power saving mode, you can get 4-5 hours out of it's battery. Also, it's got a huge modding fanbase, so if you want a better battery, you can get one, you can even install a touch screen. And it's $300 on newegg.

(Yes, I like mine. Only problem is the left mouse button doesn't work.)

Nice Subaru! I really like those new Legacies. What gear does it have?

As for me, I didn't exactly buy anything, but I made a couple pre-orders:

^^^ As for the Windows 7, it's currently available for $30 for all students (US and UK) here. If you're looking to upgrade, I suggest taking a look there. I'm running the RC right now, and it's a fair bit faster than Vista. But there's also a lot less junk on my Vista partition, so that could be helping.

I have one of those Lacks resting at the foot of my bed. I should put it up some tiime, then again, I got it several years ago.
