NFS: Shift and controller extenders to play the stupid thing.

I got these but on Friday:D

Sure, we all like it differently I guess - But quick question (not to take this off topic); what is it about having accurate control over your throttle and brakes that you so vehemently dislike? I just find it hard to understand why you're still coming from where you are coming from.
I've had accurate control over the throttle and brakes in racing games since Ridge Racer V came out, and have used the triggers for shifting in driving games since 1993. I see no reason why I should be forced to drive with triggers because the developers of a game are too lazy to adjust the game for the PS3 controller just because they can get away with it now that the XBox and PS have closer controller configs.

Another large part of this is that, unlike PC games, most console developers seem to think that presets are better than complete control configuration.

So, is there something that compels people to put stickers that come with consumer products on their cars?

I really glad I don't feel that way or the 18 inch Rock Band 2 sticker, plus 3 inch instrument icon stickers, would be on my car, not the back of the guitar. And I would hate to think what would happen with the temporary tattoos that came with my GI Joe Season 1 DVDs.

If you like the product(s) enough you want to show support for them. If I start doing modifications to the MINI I'll put stickers on my car to show support of the companies I used.

It's primarily the sticker part that gets me. I don't put anything that can't be pulled off just as easily on my car. It won't even get the magnet treatment when it is something that borders on annoyingly trendy, like the Apple logo.

But then I also immediately switched out the white earbuds for less noticeable black ones as well.

I only put things on the glass, comes right off with a razor blade and some Goo Gone. I don't mind it and it fits with the car pretty well.

I need to switch out the white earbuds on the iPod, I hate them, they fall out and sound like crap. I need to get some other ones, preferably a more premium earbud that does at least a touch of bass.

Two new mp3 singles:

Bjork - Hyperballad (from the album 'Post', which I already own, but have since lost... I only liked 'Hyperballad' and 'Army of Me', which I have on CD single too)

Grace+Jones+-+Pull+Up+To+The+Bumper.jpeg

Grace Jones - Pull Up To The Bumper (classic 1981 track from the album "Nightclubbing" - can't say I like the title track from that album, a very dodgy cover version of Iggy Pop's original, which is also dodgy)

Pink Floyd - Pulse (Live)
Bought online from the iTunes store. By far the best 15 bucks I ever spent, ever. The quality these guys carry live is unmatched.

I own all of these since Friday, unfortunately only two can actually take photographs :(
but those two I've owned for quite a while. :)

AMG.

Seriously? Seriously?

Yeah. You Apple people can just go elsewhere. ZuneHD FTW.

I didn't like the Zune HD when I played around with it and I really hate the new Zune 4.0 software which crashed everytime I tried to sync the player. It also managed to delete all of my music off my player. I was not amused.

Unreliability and inconsistant interfaces are what us Microsoft fanboys happily put up up with to avoid buying Apple products.

Yep, I never heard of it. No one that I have known that has bought products and I do live in a small town...

That's quite odd, specially since I live in quite a small city in Mexico and I've heard of said company, but I've never actually seen one, though a friend thatvisits San Franciscoquiteoften sometimes goes to one.

I just paid $12.96 a kilogram at a 'local' (actually a couple towns over) butcher's shop for 3 'fresh' big fat 700-750gram rump steaks.. Pretty damn good grade, even if rump isn't the greatest of cuts. They're real beauties though, and about as thick as the diameter of a beer cap. I was pretty damn happy about the price, privately operated family butchers FTW!

So how do you left foot brake? It's kind of a big deal when racing in a turbocharged car.

The sad part is I really wanted to buy a ZuneHD, but I just couldn't get past how awful it was and how awful the software was...it was a shame.

Richard Dawkins: The Greatest Show On Earth (The Evidence For Evolution)

This is my 6th Dawkins book, and my first ever audiobook... a combination of reading academic papers as part of my job, staring at a computer screen all day, playing computer games, watching too many films, listening to loads of music, a prodigious appetite for beer, and an ageing brain have all conspired to make reading for pleasure a rare event these days. So I am putting my iPod and my other new purchase (some Sennheiser earphones) to good use, and hence I've gone for the audiobook option this time.

That was released here in the US today, I might have to get it considering I have a Boarder's coupon. I like his books although I thought the "God Delusion" suffered from a preaching-to-the-choir effect. I had to read "The Ancestor's Tale" for an anthropology course and it continues to be one of my favourite books in the non-fiction genre.
