And before someone tries it, no you're not going to tell any difference.

Not on an iPod at least. Horrible audio quality on those things. My Sansa Clip has much better quality than any iPod I've heard to date.

OH MY GOD!! I have Sansa E250. Just wondering are you a member in the sansa forums?

Swap the headphones and iPod gets much better. But if you want to do anything else with your music (like stream it around the house), you're going to be re-ripping your whole collection lossless, and wondering why you can only get 30 albums on a 16GB Touch...

I've gone through two pairs of UEs and there is definatly a shortfall with the Ipod - especially with the bass. I thought the bass distortion was because it was asking too much of my UEs, but its the Ipod, as I can turn the bass to 12 on the computer and they don't bat an eyelid.....(if UEs had eyelids...).

Does anyone know the best sounding portable music device? I may want to consider it wehn my Ipod eventually dies. Computer grad audio is what I'm aiming for, and no, I don't know wat my computer's running with.

Or you have a pocketdock to bypass the iPod's opamp and get digital out to a mini amp to your favorite headphones.

Cowon is pretty good for portable music players. It supports damn near every codec you can think of.

I am not but I've fiddled with a number of their products and think they produce good products.

It is more than just the headphones. My iPod touch using the same high quality headphones I'd used with the Clip sounded much worse. Bass was weak but their was also just more noise.

Cowon, from what all I've read, has the best sound reproduction out of the major PMP makers. I've not had a chance to fiddle with one though :(

iPods are amazing pieces of hardware. I've had mine for nearly 4 years now, and the reliability and durability of this thing is incredible. For the record, it's an iPod classic, with the glossy stuff on the outside instead of the mat stuff on the newer ones. Probably the best hardware purchase I've ever made, you just need to get a KOSS headset with it, the stock Apple earplugs are rubbish 👍

Anyway, back on topic:

Old school Feeder FTW! I still can't believe how cheap the iTunes store is, probably because you only get the software and not the case with all the fancy stuff.

The original iPod is the only one that is reliable... I got a iPod video 30g when it first came out and I'm on my 4th one... But this last one I've now had for about 2 years... Waiting for it to break so I can get something bigger... 30gigs is waaaay to small.

Got that today... Absolutely brilliant, love it.. My last mouse was having some sever problems with clicking.. Which made using it in any shape or form pretty much impossible. $40 well worth it.

However I'm taking it back on Monday to swap it for the much much less camp Fisheye 2. Had I known it looked like that (no image on the box) I'd have got the other one in the first place!

I hope the apple magic mouse supporters on this thread read this:

$69 magic mouse or this mouse which can work with any pc and has more functions than the magic mouse and button configuration is customizable?

Oh and here's why ipods suck:

They really should put an image on the box or at least something to show how it looks, all the others have a picture! The next one up has some better features anyway. 👍

Been listening to Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band a fair bit and I thought it was about time I check out one of Oberst's other bands, Bright Eyes. After doing some looking and listening I decided to go with the their most recent album, Cassadaga. Great album so far.

I can't help but laugh at about half of the reason's given on that forum. About 90% of the people who say iPods suck is because it doesn't have an FM tuner. Those who hate iTunes say they hate it because you can't drag and drop songs into it. Seriously

It's more than obvious those people have little to no experience with Apple hard- and software. If you buy any Apple product, you get what you paid for; its user-friendly interface, reliability, performance and a sleek design. I've yet to come accross any MP3 player that looks as good as a whole concept as the iPod line-up from Apple.

You can customize the buttons just like every other mouse.. I really don't use em though but they are nice to have for the internet as they go forward and backwards between pages and such.. Its nothing crazy, its just a simple mouse that does all the basics. Good grip unlike most mouses that feel incredibly awkward. And its a Logitech so with quality and it will last forever.

I don't think I will ever buy a non-Logitech keyboard or mouse...

I love Black Friday!!
As do I:

Check under my title for my GamerTag.

I have two very major issues though.

1) Someone is using foolkiller79. I could never get FoolKiller anywhere but here, but everything else I do uses foolkiller79, and some guy snagged it at some point before now on Live. So now my Live Id has to be different from everything else I do. :grumpy:

2) Why did no one tell me that Time Pilot was on the Marketplace? Let me guess, everyone under 30 years old ignored it as some stupid old game.

Other than that I am adjusting to an interface that feels more in my face than the XMB. Soon I will run an extra cable through the wall to connect my Xbox to the Internet. Until then I am running a cable from the bedroom to the living room through the middle of the floor when I need to do an update or buy something, but staying offline the rest of the time.

You know, it is crap like that that makes me wish PSN had something in the way of developer support compared to XBLA. I probably wouldn't have bought it, because I own the superior GBA port, but there are plenty of games that I would have bought if they were on PSN.

I didn't knew some clothing pieces there are so extremely cheap compared to here in portugal. The problem was, T shirt for 12 dollars + 15 dollars for the shipping  Still, very very cheap compared to their price in stores around here :D
