I'm moving at the end of the month so I just bought one of these for the kids' bedroom

26" Toshiba lcd tv

I also bought an air cleaner and an air conditioner for their room.

There goes my bonus!

Lucky kids! Just wondering, why does moving mean the kids get a new TV? Just so I'm ready for when mine try that one on me :)

Living in Japan, space is very limited. Right now we live in an apartment where all four of us have to sleep in the same room. Our new place is a bit bigger and the kids will have their own room hence the new TV.

Cool. Own bedroom, new TV & air con...those kids are going to think their birthdays have come early.

Hope the move goes well, I know how stressful it can be

Renewed my drivers license, what really sucks is I'm planning on moving at end of April so I will have to do the same thing over again right after I get it in the mail.

Dell Inspiron 14
2Ghz T4200 (Pentium Dual-Core)
4GB RAM
Vista Home Premium
250GB HDD
6-cell battery

It's pretty much almost exactly what I was looking for. It could be a bit smaller. I have a spare copy of 7 lying around, but I probably won't install it since Vista is working fine now.

Nice!

Last week I got an Eisenbahn kit from a local bar on a Twitter contest, gonna pick it over tomorrow. I don't know exactly what comes in this kit, but it's free beer!

Preparations for the move continue. Today we hit Ikea and as usual bought more than we planned to.

Chest for the kids' room:

2 sets of this bedding for the kids' beds:

This trolley thing for the kitchen:

A bookcase for my new study:

And a heap load of small stuff that soon totalled up to a fair sum of cash:guilty:

Haha! That is just Ikea's 'thing'. You go in for a browse and come back with stuff you didn't even know existed

The Collector's edition wasn't sold here, so had to get an imported Canadian version from the bay of E. All because I wanted to play Madden '93 again...

:) My new playseat evolution with my G25.

👍

That might last me a month...if I'm lucky.

And I needed some new shirts for work and Jos A. Bank was having a sale:

For the first time eve I didn't balk at the idea of paying $50+ for a shirt, because after having received some as gifts in the past I realize these are worth it.

And for my wife's birthday:

We have been borrowing my mother's for about a month now to try it out and it makes a darn good Earl Grey. My wife says it makes good coffee too.

Sometimes 'expensive' clothing is worth it, if you know what brands to look out for you can see the value in them. Occasionally my friends are like "Why would you pay $100+ for a polo shirt" and I just usually say "Why would you pay $4,000 for a Turbocharger on a street car?"

That said, I'm a sucker for fine shirts. Nothing is worse than wearing something uncomfortable all day.
