That makes for two copies of Shakespeare's complete works on my bookshelf...

New Printer, for when I go to university. It came as a bundle with 2 spare ink cartridges and 50 sheets of photo paper. Wasn't bad for £45.

I usually get a lot of my stuff from hockeygiant.com, but I just went to Dunham's because I needed the gloves ASAP.

I just finished up my second game on the new shin pads tonight, and even though they're bigger than the shin pads I am used to having, I still had a pretty good range of motion. One pad shifted off to the side a bit during play, but only once. Also, I didn't tape up very well as I was a bit late showing up to the game tonight, so that could have caused a bit of the shifting as well.

Right now I'm playing both with a bit more roller hockey. Once winter hits, I'll probably be almost exclusively ice.

I'm finally getting around to responding to this. Do the shins feel like they have decent protection? I'm not talking laying out to block slappers level, but pick-up/beer league/shoot around on the ice get a puck to the leg and not be hobbled level. I've been rocking shins that are slightly too long and just sitting them higher, taping them down good and putting them over my tongues, but it's just getting tiresome adjusting them.

What's your ice rink of choice? Maybe I've bumped into you if you're East of the city.

Sony KDL-46HX703

This was supposed to be the TV I was getting but turns out they no longer do this set, I had to get a similar set the KDL-46HX803 it's the model up only difference is 3D ready and LED backlight instead of CCFL.

If you can't work it out, I'm making an F1 steering wheel to replace the G27 thing. Will be making a thread on it when I get back from my trip to Europe, which will be when I start construction.

Are you replacing the steering wheel itself and keeping the rest of the mechanisms, or are you trying to build your own complete wheel package?

Free when I renewed my contract. :D I like the looks, it's fairly understated compared to the iPhone etc. but it still does all the usual smartphone stuff on Android and HD video too, which was one of the main draws of the iPhone for me. I can't wait to actually get it though

Free is good, but hows the plan?

It's almost the same as the one I've been on for 3 years, but better. 500 mins, 5000 texts (Will never use them all), 1 gig internet (will never use it all), 50 picture messages, free Messenger, Twitter and Facebook (they don't count towards my 1gb) for £25 a month for 24 months. The cheapest I could get elsewhere for the same phone was £30 so I've no complaints. :)

Not bad, thats about 38 bucks here in the USA. Phone here get super expensive with monthly fees, but you do get unlimited text and internet.

I only pay 30 bucks every two months on average. Because I get a pre paid go phone card lol.

Just dropped a couple bills on a new set of eyeglasses, something I don't mind spending more than enough on or spending a couple weeks finding the perfect pair.

The company is a German design firm that has won several industrial design awards for their ingenious screwless hinge design (see end video). They're also made of thin titanium, making them hella strong and light as feathers. I don't like predicting The Next Big Thing (I called BS on Alexander Daigle back in the day if that means anything to anyone), but ic! berlin is expected to take off in similar ways to Oakley, which is now a household brand and coincidentally the brand of my outgoing frames which I still regularly get complimented on.

Here's the set I got:

The design and engineering stuff:

So this pair didn't last very long. I lost them in the Atlantic Ocean about a month ago and needed to find a replacement pair. Ic!Berlin have also become very mainstream, which I wasn't too happy about. I don't need to be the only person to have something, but when I got them only a few of my design friends knew what they were. By the end of the ownership, I'd see several pairs a day.

I just finally settled on this pair of Mykitas. The company was related to the above German manufacturer, but have gone upscale since splitting. These things will hopefully stay on my face and not end up at the bottom of the ocean after 2 years!!! They're frosted-clear, which makes them seen more than a gloss acrylic, but also aren't the first thing you notice compared to a black or white frame.

Still haven't seen the movies.

Just picked up my new phone. Android 2.1 update is expected next month so wanted to be ready for it.

THat's what I wanted to get. But they've been promising 2.1 for months and it's not a multitouch display. Phone looks so good though. I'll get it once 2.2 is on it.

My SD1100IS died a few months back and I needed a replacement since I am heading to DC this weekend.

Let know how you like it. My GF is leaving for tokyo is 9 days and I need to get her a camera. Looked at that one a few days ago but the canon badge is still giving me a sour taste in my mouth. Not sure if lugging my DSLR would be a smart thing for her.

I've shot Canon's for years, it's just like the SD1100IS which I loved, just smaller, has a bigger screen, more megapixels (wow [/sarcasm]), and some new features that I won't ever use. I'll stick it in auto and never take it out. For good pictures I'll take the dSLR.

Buy her something portable. I bought something in between a regular cam and DSLR, it still has 20x zoom and 10 super clean mega pixel quality. I can still hide it very easy if I have cargo pants or a back pack, or my GFs purse.

those DSLRs are just too big for normal pics, your GF would have to carry that huge thing around her neck or backpack, its not convenient.

Just make sure you can buy her a camera with removable battery pack. That way she can always switch once one ran off.

This is my Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-H20. I dont think they make them anymore, but a year ago it was the cheapest and yet best picture quality for a NON-DLSR camera. Also its a 10X lens zoom and you can unlock in options for 20x digital zoom. For 2010 I dont know whtas the best buy, but as long you buy a camera with nice zoom, and nice pixels yet easy to use and carry around, its a winner for all the trips. DSLRs are overrated for trips because of their ridiculous size.

By the way what kind of cam you got?

Go for a Canon S95. God I want one so much (well aside from a Leica M9 and a 35mm 'lux :D).

For a quick point and shoot, I would suggest a Sony Cybershot. I'm very happy with mine. I'll still keep it around after I get a DSLR.

But really if you just stick to the main brands (Kodak, Nikon, Canon, Sony, etc), you should be happy with whatever P&S you get. There all essentially the same, unless you go for one of those cheap off brands. In that case, you're on your own.

I bought that same Sony DSC-H20 off Amazon (I think? I was shopping around a little...) and its great. As far as I know they still make it, or else it is still readily available. Most of its use so far has been as an in-car camera, though it takes amazingly good pictures.

I think I'll stick to a "typical" p&s, the SD canons, the sd1400 is looking better the more I read about it.

Rebellion Racing Shirt and Cap, got them signed by all the drivers on the back.

So far the phone is good, does 'every thing' it should do, and the video is fun too. Just a little bit short battery life in my opinion. My old phone had better!
