I have some Fila Ferrari running shoes, they are pretty cool. Those look a little more comfortable though.

Got me this little birthday present for myself. Samsung HD870, DVD player, HDMI ready. Plays Divx, so I can see all those gazillion movies I've been downloading.

I also made a yearly book buy:

Looks like a right page-turner too 👍
I was waiting on the film coming out, but... I hear Peter Jackson is completely uninterested in it.
I take it that is a book to use as research for work, TM?
Yep - it should better come in handy!

hmmm... the title sounds like something I learned a lot in college... Ramen it was.
Ramen to that!

80GB. So far, so good. It was corrupted for a bit and I had to reformat it or whatever they call it. Battery life is amazing, at least compared to my old POS.

Well, I would scan it, but I got a speeding ticket last month.

224 bucks

Not much of a purchase, but a payment and a point off my license. Im driving like an old lady now...

ahhhh...the last piece is now in place!

Thankfully insurance picked up most of the $17,000 bill for The Vest. Anything to keep my son healthy and out of the hospital.
We finally received the bill from insurance - just under $1200 out of pocket.

I wish I could pay 7% of the sticker price for everything. Just imagine $.02/pound bananas! :P

Wooaaa, dude, 17 grands. But if it helps your son it's worth every penny. May I ask why he needs it?
If it keeps him out of the hospital for one day, it's essentially paid for. Scary thought, huh?

He has Cystic Fibrosis. The sole purpose of The Vest is to shake the holy bejebus out of him to loosen the crap in his lungs out so he can cough it up. The mucus in his lungs is a prefect breeding ground for infection, so we really need to stay on top of keeping them as clear as we can. He does two 30 minute sessions per day, but he gets to watch a TV show or a movie (and that'll probably change to a PS3 game soon :D ) so he absolutely doesn't mind doing it. Hopefully that continues. Also included in the price tag is a lifetime warranty and vest upgrades (there are different sizes, as he'll need to do this for the rest of his life). I'm waiting for the day when we get the vest big enough for me so I can try it out.

Like a large rumble pack, then? Maybe you could hook him up to the PS3? :D

Time for some new old music:

If it could be synced to kick in when you tear across the rumbles or get rear ended at the back straight of Sarth, that would be killer! 👍

Hey! 💡 If I can figure that out, I bet I could sell it to all you cockpit users!

Me: Honey, I have a new business venture. The initial cost is a bit steep, but if this works...
Her: Hell, no!
